The only thing that I'd add so far to this video is with the routing of the Black lead from the rear view camera. To some it may seem like common sense, but when routing that lead under or through your vehicle, make sure that the wire isn't resting on any components that move or get hot. I've worked on sever trucks replacing aftermarket cameras and such wher they have ran the lead across the exhaust or near the rear shocks/ leaf springs and the wire was either to far worn down or burnt so badly and melted that the whole wire had to be replaced and ran correctly. Other than that, this seems to be a very in depth, informative review and install. 10 outta 10 👌🏼
@JesseRizo Another pointer from having to deal with electrical problems. It may seem like overkill or unnecessary, but on the spots where the wire passes through the frame rail on the bottom of the truck, run a lap of electrical tape or if you're feeling spunky you could even go the next step up and put some heat shrink on those spots just for an added layer of protection for those wires. I've known several people that chose to run the leads through the factory wiring harness with either zip ties or some plastic wire loom.
I've also watched other videos on the dash cam. You don't need to purchase a separate component for the parking mode. You just need to enable it in the settings. In this video you have it disabled. There are actually many features in the settings that are super useful.

Thanks for the explanation of things.. ^^ Just sharing, since i live in Asia, it's kind of sucks cause the camera is on the left side of the monitor (screen, whatever you name it), and we drive on the right side, so the camera points waaaay too much to the left side (passenger side, not centered like yours). And there is no option to flip the screen if i want the camera on the driver side.. So yeah.. that's a bummer.. But overall, it's a cool mirror dash cam. Does this Dash Cam starts recording when i start the jurney, so i dont have to do anything like starting up or pushing the buttons? Engine comes on and Camera starts recording?
That zoomed in part when you want to stay on either rear or front view would low key bother me so I clicked on the link you provided and it says you can adjust the angle by pressing up and down. Have you tried doing that before relocating the camera?
I have a front dash cam. Been very happy with it, and I love the idea of having a rear one as well. I don’t like how it’s installed though. Looks kind of ghettofied. I’d rather see a complete mirror replacement.
That's a good deal compared to other similar dash cams. I might install my rear view camera on my prinsu rack near the 3rd brake light. Similar to the 22+ Tundra. Get a good view of my load and rear.
So if you put it in reverse, does it automatically switch to the rear view camera (full screen)? That's what the taillight red wire is for I assume, so it's not just the guidelines but also the automatic switching. Secondly the zooming in makes it kind of annoying or even useless as a parking aid.
man, i can't wait until the make front/rear dash cams without wires. i don't want to wire the camera all the way to the back. we have wireless technology...
Do you have a problem with this model eating SD cards? I got one from the same company and have to replace the SD card every week, even with a high endurance SD card it just chews through them. Are you having the same issues?

I watched other video's on this dash cam and those arrow's on the left adjust the view up and down so you should not have to relocate the rear camera.

Does this work if your car is parked? Like if you go into the gym someone hits your car and then leaves will it still be running?
Yes it’ll work parked or driving as long as it is getting WiFi/ hotspot your good
