I just love your family and farm lifestyle. It is pure joy for me. I am looking for each and every vlog you are willing to share. The children are just delightful.
I love the way you and Lizzy interact with the kids. Amazing wayching shear. Would love another slower talk through with the shears. More Fed by Farmers podcasts as well...feeling very spolit. All the productions are different in their own which, tells different aspects of the work.
I would love to see Cammy do a promotional video to inspire young people to fill the vast need for shearers. For every sheep farming country. Most "kids" have never even heard of it. The cost for a startup shearing kit and training is ridiculously low compared to many other trades. The return on that investment is phenomenal, if they learn properly and build up the physical fitness to do it. We are really short shearers in North America, with farmers waiting many weeks to get a booking. Then if weather or something cancelled the date: more weeks wait.
A wee while ago I think Cammy did just that...I don't know how long ago...but I think it was this year sometime...he broke it all down...what I think he needs to do is to keep reminding the young folk of the opportunities that can be had😃🌠
@@ChristophersMum He has told us about the shearer life. Anyone who watches his channel is already aware of the shortage. I would like to see a campaign to promote shearing to a much wider audience, that has never even heard you can make a good living doing it. "Career Day" type promotion.
@gregedmand9939 I didn't know there was a big shortage tbh, but I thought (mostely from my verry limited experience with sheep) that not many young folks get into shearing. That it's a branch that's getting greyer so to speak. And the problem with the job is probably: its extremely physical work, the blackies don't look the biggest sheep and can be a handful, so get something like a Dorset, a Suffolk, Bleu de Maine, or Zwartbles, who can get a bit bigger and you get sheep escaping on you.
Now I'm going to have to watch that film 😂The kids have the best life on the farm. It's good to see them getting in to everything, including a plate of spaghetto 🙃
What a busy day shearing! Thanks Cammy. Hasn’t been cold enough to wear my jumper here this winter, however, I’ll be taking mine to ware in Japan over the Christmas/New Year holidays so I shall send my picture in then for sure 😊😊😊.❤️🇦🇺🏴
Hi Cammy, i just wanted to say you are so inspiring to the younger generation like myself. I now really want to get my own sheep. You are also amazing at sheering.Jock,Angus and Bonnie are so cute. From the highlands!! 😄😄

Love the portable potty for Jock. I carried a potty seat in my back pack for about two years, my boys are 19 months apart, oldest got comfortable with a regular toilet and it was the youngest turn. My sister had one in the back of her Jeep too for her daughter.
You’re such an inspiration! Thank you so much for spending the time and effort to create all this content . /Greetings from the island of Gotland, Sweden
Love your video’s. Bonnie is so precious and beautiful and your boys are so handsome and such little farm boys. The learning and education your kids are getting is absolutely priceless!❤❤

So thats why you went down to the sheering world record then. 🤣 did you pick up any tips. What did Una do in 5 hours 😉🤣 Hell I think I'd struggle with 5 minutes far lass 5 hours. Enjoying the podcasts.
Hi Cammy & Lizzy. I think I have your wife's name right? HI to the kids How is your Daughter doing. She looks Beautiful. & The Boys getting big. This was so short. 🙁 I like your videos when they are longer.
Why would you do a 5 hour run ? I don't think I have seen you mention how long your usual runs are. Do you let the farmers decide for you , or do do decide the run lengths?
I'm pretty sure he showed some kind of sling many videos back. It hangs from above and the shearer leans through it to take some of the pressure off his/her back.

Just a wee one to tide everybody over. Bigger ones on the way!
The kids are way too cute!!!!! Is that even legal? 😄 much love!
Bonnie is growing so fast. I had to potty train my son the same way. Until he decided to not ever wear pants 😂
❤ the boys curlz
Amazing family
LOVE LITTLE BONNIE
🩷💕🩷💕🩷💕🩷
Beautiful daughter ❤
Bonnie has the same stork mark my oldest has! When he gets angry it still shows up he just turned 18
By the fleece on the ringlock as you drove in, the sheep have been rubbing a lot. In OZ that’d be a sure bet they were lousy 🤔
Cammy, how do you learn to shear if you've not been brought up around farming?!? Love watching you and your family xxx
Tough one! Probably start by getting some sheep experience somewhere.
👍
Re: Sky's pups. I am New...watching all your Older videos.
I just watched 'SHEEPDOG HAVING PUPS' > 2 years ago > SKY had 4 pups.

A little older and running around...all cute and playful, tearing up the house.

Did you keep the female? Will I ever know what happened to them?
~ Thanks, Lori from Canada.
The pups were all sold 😊
Choices in life
5 hour run sod that havent you heard of a flask of tea and a mars bar
😂 Robert take note!
Hello ❤❤
It's a food thing little kids can absorb food through their ears.
🐨👍

She’s destroy me on the boards! 😁
@@TheSheepGame I think she’d destroy many, just like she did the record.
Hi Cammy & Lizzy. I think I have your wife's name right? HI to the kids How is your Daughter doing. She looks Beautiful. & The Boys getting big. This was so short. 🙁 I like your videos when they are longer.
my new one is much longer =D
Any chance of captions? I miss so much
We're working on it!
How much does it cost to sheep owner to have the sheep sheared and how much do they make for the sheep’s wool?
It costs about £1.65 per sheep to shear and these fleeces probably make £1 each back.
Do sheep like being sheered? As in the second or third time around.
I don't think they like the actual process but will love the feeling afterwards
Love the potty training method. Hey, whatever works.
And now we have the female world record for shearing.
Why would you do a 5 hour run ? I don't think I have seen you mention how long your usual runs are. Do you let the farmers decide for you , or do do decide the run lengths?
usually 2-3 hours. I decide the run length but I had a meeting that day so we had to keep pushing on! my fault...
🐑
Why do you wear special shoes to sheer?
They give us good grip and keep our feet free to move around easier 😁
I am not an expert but perhaps you could be on platform below the sheep so you do not have to bend so far over
I'm pretty sure he showed some kind of sling many videos back. It hangs from above and the shearer leans through it to take some of the pressure off his/her back.
First
Depends on the Hemisphere 😂
Childish 😂
