    Awesome, exactly what I need for my smaller workshop if I'm going to purchase another bike. Thanks for the video bud. 👍

    Thanks so much for posting-I have a new Roadglide and finding and tie down or storage moving tips, and or products seems limited to the basic stuff that is not that great because I have spent a lot of money on those products-I know Harbor Freight will sell this jack at a reasonable rate helping all us consumers-I cannot wait to go get one-

    What I like about this idea is that you don't leave the bike on it. I keep mine in an open area so if I leave it on the regular dolly, it will be easy to move it from its corner with this one you move it and then take off the mover and voila is secured in a tight place and can only be moved with the gadget. Genious!!

    The best one I have seen is the Sealey ride on.Just ride over the rear wheel lift plate, leave rear wheel on the plate, put down side stnd ( still sitting on the bike) get off bike , lift up the 4 wheel lifter tabs , move the bike.Leave the bike on it and ride off it after lowering the lock tabs .Simple and safe and about £90.

    That is the nicest floor I've ever seen in a garage or shed

      @@mikelipscomb8639 I got a plan old plywood floor and use a j&s jack I liked the stability the j&s offered thier a little expensive but that's probably why I don't have a floor like yours lol.I like the way you got your shelves in the walls ride safe and for ever .

    Quick update... I purchased the Track Moto motorcycle mover because it was on $99 for black Friday. It's quicker to load, but not any more stable than this setup to be honest. First time I went to move the Track Moto forward the Kickstarter and folded in and almost dropped the bike. So this is still a decent solution.

    I noticed that you are using a VERY smooth floor, which is not always possible in the real world

    • @mikelipscomb8639
      @mikelipscomb8639  6 лет назад

      Ben ..Correct. In the event that you have a smooth floor, such as most garages, this is a good solution over the high dollar or undersized motorcycle movers. Not claiming this is a solution for every application, but most applications.

      Ben I have since moved and have a proper garage. It glides just as easy over a standard poured concrete floor. Brushed concrete would require the bearings I described at the end under the kickstand pad.

    I can't use felt pad because my floor isn't as smooth as your floor, but I like the jack! Anyone stop you for vertical mounted license plate?

    So you went to Harbor Freight and spent $89 on this for the back tire when you could have spent $99 on their motorcycle Dolly which is designed to do this. I'm not talking s*** I'm just curious as to why? And this time of year you can probably get a Black Friday deal like $80

    • @mikelipscomb8639
      @mikelipscomb8639  2 года назад +2

      My motorcycle has a rake that is 9" longer than their dolly, and my 230 rear tire would barely fit their track.

    Cool idea. Out of curiosity, why didn't you go with the Harbor Freight motorcycle dolly?

    • @mikelipscomb8639
      @mikelipscomb8639  7 лет назад +1

      Dennis Gould , my bike was 10" too long , and the back tire was too wide. otherwise would have gone that route.

    • @hoozierdaddy57
      @hoozierdaddy57 7 лет назад

      Appreciate the reply. I'm looking to be able to move my 03 Goldwing. If you're is too long, I'm thinking mine would be too. How wide is your rear tire?

    • @mikelipscomb8639
      @mikelipscomb8639  7 лет назад

      the book states the maximum footprint is 6'-4" long, and 7 3/4" wide. My bike is 86" long with a raked front end, and a 230mm tire, so just over 9".

    • @hoozierdaddy57
      @hoozierdaddy57 7 лет назад

      Again, thanks. Good to know. I'll have to measure the spread center to center on the wheels. I'm just a shade under 8'-6" nose to tail. Your method might be the answer vs the dolly. Safe Riding!!
