Great little sled. I remember drawing pictures of that sled in the 6th grade , wishing I had one of them. The rest of my grades sucked , but I got an A for Eltigre drawing...LOL
Grew up riding one of these in the 80's, still love that sound they made. Great sled, just wish it would have had more suspension in the rear if it was bumpy out.
I used to drool over these things back in the late 70’s while I was forced to lumber around on my family’s early-70’s Ski-Doo Nordique with the 640 and reverse - a real “old man’s” sled……😂
I just want to tell you, that I have thoroughly enjoyed this entire series, and I thank you sincerely for taking the time, and sharing your knowledge and love for your vintage sleds. You have done nothing short of a AAA+ job since your very first video. Again, thank you so much for what you have done here, and you have a fan for life in me.
Awesome. The first sled i ever drove was that very same model. Dad had bought one just like it new when I was 5. Thanks for the video and a reminder of old memories.
Great sled. More durable and less problems than the 1974 440 El Tigre our family owned. I think the Suzuki was a better engine than the Kawasaki. The kawasaki woud not even run at 1050 miles. the crankcase seall leaked so badly it could not be started.. Kind of soured me that Arctic Cat would not cover it under warranty.
I had one, and absolutely loved it. Good times.

Funny! Thanks for looking!

Just a heads up your missing the bolt for your secondary clutch!!! I have the same sled wicked old sleds
Yes i see the lost bolt evrey time i watch the video. It has been replaced now.. Seemed to do ok without it! Yep good old sleds!
I have one of those! It’s pretty much pieces now sadly. The 500 Free air was bullet proof!
So these had Suzuki free air engines not fan cooled?
yep, 440 and 500cc were available. Just rebuilt my '77 500.
@@kurtmuzio3077 thx
55hp beauty! Wow. Yea buddy replace that bolt! Sometimes simple is better. Less stuff to break.
Yea it still suprising the power it has. The bolt has been replaced! Thanks!
Mine ran 70 mph, till i took the spirit engine off and put it on a 300 lb gocart 120.mph😂
I have a 77 not nearly as nice as yours, its pretty rough but still very fast runs great but the clutches are bad
