Funny seeing a loopstation legend here. I was just making a beat on the loopstation and just stopped and went to the kitchen to make some food when I started humming this melody, then come back and realise it's because I just made the same drum track as this and it triggered my memory haha.
I might be almost 58 but I LOVE this song and this singer-may not be young, but can still appreciate talent,gr8 song and brilliant words.Hope DIALECTRIX makes it big-Aussie radio need to start playing this rapper's music.
mad respect!! This track is fkn banging!! I hadnt heard of Dialectrix til i came across this track on youtube...some of the best aussie hip hop ive ever heard!
id like to say to dialectrix if you read this that your music is honestly some of the best shit ive ever heard outcast is number1 on my playlist keep making this sort of shit coz its dope
geez guys why do some people have to hate so much if you dont like it then good on ya no need to be whinging bout it aussie hip hop rocks so does hip hop from other countrys all these hip hop artists are tryen to do is make a name for themselves and aint no need for negitivity come on what happened to peace in the world?
Aus Hip Hop is for sure a different Genre. And believe me lots of Americans like this stuff, not many have been exposed to it yet, but from what i hear and see they love it and i have shared it with a few americans years ago and they tell me they still pump it up in there cars an headphones.... HOWZAT !!!
This guy is dope asf on flows and beats still fire i listen to Dialectrix hill top diafrix illy k21 BnE etc..soooo many dope Ausie artists across many genres Bless you guys for giving us some fresh awesome music here in the states.. Pretty trash these days.Helps me get through my work week
in my opinion dialectrix is one of the most uderated mcees in aus, hes fucking dope man his flow his delivery his subject matter, i admire his skill very much peace!
Chilling to tunes I grew up with in 2020 ... you can really tell how meth scene fucked the ypungins and the shit they put out these days .... young heads not all have falling into the toy life style
I haven't been listening to too much hip hop recently, but this is quality music. Real nice sample, and it's very refreshing to hear this instead of the usual Drake, Weezy, and garbage stuck on my local mainstream radio stations (I'm from New York). Very good shit right here, bravo sir.. or I guess I should say, mate! Also, I hate when people say a certain style is considered "real" hip hop. Seriously? Every artist brings something different to the table and that progresses hip hop as a whole.
@JeIIoh I'm american, and although i do know some other people who think the same way you do, the majority of people in America are focused solely on whatever is "popular" on the musically biased radio stations.
@Mopstylz Yeah. cool. Anyways, just saying, all our music isn't the same, you gotta look for it. People sell out a lot, but look at their old stuff, they do rap about the real stuff. It's just they do have to appeal to people. It's how they make their living. It's just how it is.
@mokujin25 yeah man people need to look abroad when they think of Aus hip hop and not just take the industry heavy weight's as the "best"? But Suffa and Pressure are dope emc's in there own right, same with muph, plutoniclab actually produces quite a lot of Dialectrix's songs and is a very talented drummer, b and e well what can i say interesting but i like them? all i can say is i wish we were not so narrow when people look at the Aus hip hop scene
@Mopstylz You really can. We have a lot of underground artist that are still up and coming or sometimes don't always get signed, but they're still well known. Other than that, I say if you like the music leave it alone. The reason why people listen to the sex, drugs and money thing is because it's something they want. Broken people who want what those rappers are talking about and that's why it becomes a hit. Or, even the beat is sick. We've got diversity in America. You just have to find it.
who authorized this competitive normality cause .. accept the formality core battling impetuous mortality traumatically misled into store clarity dont know if its right but its what i hear.. n i like it
@mokujin25 hoods have gone a little to commercial for my liking, but im still a huge fan of basically all aussie hip hop, including all the guys people hate on, i dont see why tey should get hate for just being a little more successful than other aus hip hop artists?
@losmuertos1992 You can't say there's no competition between aussie hiphop and wutang fam etc because they are two completely different styles. The groups you listed are rap artists. There is no comparison to KRSONE, he is the epitome of real hiphop. Having said that, aussie hiphop tries to distance itself from the typical american stuff you here and I think thats what you need to appreciate. Dont think I dont agree with you because I do, but understand they are different styles all together.
Someone who looks exactly like Dialectrix fucked up my life, so it's hard to appreciate his expression, but I can't deny the truth of his lyrics and how well they align with what I believe. Also this music takes a hold of you and throws you around, something you can't help but nod to even if you're not listening to the message.
People have opinions. People have preferences. Sometimes, a lot of times a song becomes a hit because of the beat behind it or just because of the artist. But if you like it, then like it. Don't go dissing other music and talking all about the different cultures as if you know EVERYTHING about that culture. Because more than likely, you don't. Anyways. Let's leave the comments for the music, not where you come from.
Just another criminally underrated rapper
