Next time please find out the movie of David Thompson. He is the best.
Nope, ya’ll need to step it up before I spend a subscribe on your channel.
The difference of MJ's and Scottie's ft line dunks with others is that they dribbled the ball in, not just holding it and ran. The difficulty was totally different.
Tell em! Mj is the 🐐
There is about 40 MJ dunks missing from this list, heck even the layups are better than majority of dunks on this list.
@Plucebro least braindead MJ fan here lmao. "Even some of MJ's layups are better than the dunks on this 'longest dunks in NBA history' list". Can you even read?
I've noticed that even in game a lot of them are travelling before their dunks. I guess the habit gets carried over between dunk comps and games.
Jordan has made numerous notes about making sure he dribbled the ball before them.
@Plucebro Longest dunks, read the title
Brent Barry is missing. In 1996 he dunked from the free throw line as well...
he should be on the list but nearly all of his foot was inside the line.
@EconAtheisthe only had one foot? That’s freaking awesome!
@fellow_kind_human_being 🧐☠🙃
Drexler’s dunk again the Lakers should have been higher. He came in from an angle, longer jump.
And it was in a game
@othoniellara8600and it was beautiful.
And he could have taken off from a bit further away as he did not even have to stretch to finish. I always felt this was the best in game dunk of all time.
9:49 Clyde the Glide for the win!!!
It reminds me of when Jordan faced off against Clyde the Glide !
Glide was the smoothest dunk technician and under the rim scorer! Btw, why was Ibaka number 1? Why Should a guy at 6 feet 11 inches be at number 1 for dunking from the free throw line when Zach LaVine at 6 feet 5 inches had basically already did it?
Drexler at 9:55 number 9 circa 1985 (?) is redonlulous agreed !!!!
Michael’s 1985 Free Throw Dunk he was right at the line.
No he was like 6 inches past it
@Asheepygamer8443-j3w I’ll have to look but k thought in 1985 he put tape down and he was right there with it. 87 and 88 i know he was a little past it.
@hangslamactually yeah I watched it and his foot was a couple inches in front of the line. He was further then I thought
@Asheepygamer8443-j3w no he wasn't 🤦🏼
Young MJ was absolutely fearless
I once saw Julius Irving in a game jump from the free, throw line over the top of a players head, clearing his head with his sneakers and dunk it
What about Julius Erving (Doctor J), who started it all???
Where is Brent Barry's free throw line dunk?
There is a video of Dr J dunking from near the FT line in an actual game. The angle is behind the basket but his feet are clearly close to the FT line.
That was in NBA finals against Lakers 1982
Not an in-game or dunk contest dunk, but Zach Lavine doing a 360 from the free throw line is still one of the most insane things I've ever seen!
At practice I agree. The 720 dunk the kid from Houston “air up there” did was wild as well. There’s a white dude on RUclips who focused his whole life into dunking he does some pretty incredible stuff.
Jordan kilganon I think his name is
Jordan first. No Ibaka. Air Jordan bro
yeah it was almost the same distance and he was alot taller then jordan too
@strongmanconqueror1894not to mention they dribbled and two-stepped it in, inches passed cameramen, while everyone else was carrying.
@jordanlenssen5726 yeah how impressive was that? Unreal
That chambers one at 30 always has a unique look to it. It's like he uses a mid air step to reach a different level
He did, that step was Marc Jackson 😂
Thank you, that was top 10 easy
@Liquidplantium stole my line
Clyde "the glide" Drexler !! him and Jordan was 2 monsters of the dunk in game.
When i saw wallace at 33 i was like no way lol
You're missing the longest 1 in MJs Rookie year with the 1s and his Warmups on he put tape on the Floor and Jumped from behind the Tape while doing the JumpMan Logo 😉 🔥
Wallace doing a whole damn 360 on that one is always so wild to me.
Where are the Dominique Wilkins highlight dunks? A top 40 dunks and no Dominique Wilkins is Critical 😂😂
It's about takeoff distance from the rim. Nique was primarily a two-foot leaper so he doesn't have as many long dunks.
should have at least the James Worthy dunk on Cedrick Maxwell epitomizes the long take off
Hicko mad good video. Bravo.
4:13 😂
Why was there 20 highlights on here of LeBron with the same dunk?
Because it was about distance not about different style
@AnhDonoidude has one dunk and it’s played out. Dudes old and sucks. MJ was better
@christopheraustin918 The title of this video is “top 40 LONGEST dunks in NBA history” meaning that they were going by how far the person jumped, not which one is “better”. That’s why Ibaka is at number one because he jumped the farthest
Because it was about distance… meanwhile, MJ did the same dunk 3 times in a dunk contest 😂
Man 80’s/90’s NBA was a magical time
All of them stepped on the free throw line
We needed this, after the 2026 slam dunk contest
9:10 how defeated no. 0 feel😂
MJ did another one where he put tape on the free throw line and nailed it. Should be #1
This is sick thank you
It's basically James, Jordan and Giannis list. Clyde the glide and Dr. J should get more recognition.
When Jordan first did it in 1987 at the All-Star game in Seattle dunk contest I think it was the first time anyone had done it since Dr. J in 1976. That blew me away.
Levine with the oop and the windmill is crazy work. Made it look easy too
nr. 39 is the most difficult and impossibile to replicate
1:47 CP3, Schröder and SGA on the floor at the same time lmao
I just finished play number seven and I was kind of surprised because quite honestly I figured the dunks you had at 7 and 8 would be number one and two.
Great content. There is a Larry Nance clip (not from '84 ASG) where his toes were about 6" beyond 15'.
First time I see pippen do the MJ dunk free trow wow
Jordan looked like a damn piece of art pumping the ball in the air with style. Plus, he's only 6'6".
Samuel Dalambert (in game freethrow line dunk) is missing
Yeah dunk contest shouldnt count, real game is real thing
Shout out to th engineers that have been making sure these rings don’t break.
6:08, LeBron steps aside 😂
Know this is NBA but remember a college kid doing a two hand dunk from the free throw line in the year end dunk contest a while back...
James White. He also went between the legs from the free throw line in other dunk contests. Lots of his highlights on here. Bit of a one trick pony but it's an extremely impressive one.
i think giannis can jump behind free throws if he wants
no.30 Bill Chamberlain ㄷㄷㄷㄷ
Tom Chambers

I watched Mike Conley Sr dunk from behind the FT line. Which he was a world class long and triple jumper. Not NBA but still amazing.
0:40 Dunking from that far with two feet is crazy work.
And that sideways motion too!
@mattbailey7049and to put the game away with that brutality…
Awesome to see mj reached so many cultures
some rookie Matas Buzelis making all those dunks in every game 😆
Mj s dunks in 85 slam dunks contest was not shown it would have been in the second place close to Ibakas
How does Brent Barry not make this list?
Kemps freethrow attempt shoulda been in there.
He probably doesn't know who that is 😂
MJ❤
I should be on this list, I use to go from the file line
If a player tried to dunk from the free throw line in-game the defender should take out their legs mid air when they're most vulnerable.
Only one Dr. J in-game dunk?
He wasn't like that
- Ummmmm… OK guy
Criminal. . .
What about a two-handed dunk from the free throw line. There have been one or two in the dunk contest.
9:28 The difference in Jordans one step inside and Antetakoumpo's is crazy 🏀🏀⛹🏿⛹🏿🤾🏿🤾🏿
Bro Scottie Pippen was in the dunk contest?!
McGee's no-dunk...But, a PF(Ante.) with that kind of hangtime! WHAT?!
Jordan los mejores
👏👏👏, bom trabalho
Yeah that #1 is well deserved.
Draxler
Serge Ibaka was in the dunk contest?! 😂
I ain’t hatin, they’re incredible athletes. I just get how people don’t seem to realize that the height some of them are getting comes from the defender they’re trying to jump over inadvertently elevating them higher into the air.
Scott Skiles and Bill Lambeer got posterized back to back by The GOAT #MJ23 (5:24)
Thumbnail looks like Muggsy Jordan.
Jordan iba votando la pelota
Where is Brent Barry’s free throw line dunk from the 96 contest?
Please remember Brent Barry 😢
Lavine final dunk 2016
What happen to the DINK CONTEST . IT SUCKED OUT LOUD THIS YEAR
NBA change free throw rules since Wilt simply dunked from behind the free throw line
He layed it up, the dunk thing is a myth.
The thing is even the others whom were jumping from free through line… only MJ seems to have that ability to float in the air where the others just look like a long jump…. Maybe it’s because he gets the the height quicker and just stays there a little longer?
James ‘Flight’ White two hands from the free throw line. Look him up and give him props.
Dunks used to be more beautiful in the 80s and 90s. Modern players don't know how to dunk beautifully.
3:00 Meteor jam?
No gather step. However they can do anything in NBA 5 years ago,
Episode 8, 3 steps taken
Damn why didn't we/ Cleveland get that JR Smith!?
