I have been searching for good nature documentaries and after 10 minutes of this one I knew I hit the jackpot on this one ! Thank you so much for this post! The creators of this should be very proud
I rather watch such documentaries than go to the Zoo. I like to see animals in their natural habitat being cruel like animals that they are and not in cages.
Depends on the zoo you’re talking about. Some actively contribute to wildlife conservation and have even helped bring species back from the brink of extinction (ex: California condor). It’s important to check whether or not a zoo is accredited and involved in conservation (which includes rehabilitation and reintroduction programs, research and field work in these animals’ native ranges, helping to mitigate threats and human-wildlife conflicts, etc.), not to mention how much attention is given to the animals’ wellbeing and the space they have. Many of the animals at these zoos (esp. the species in decline) are part of the SSP (species survival program), which ensures that if they do go extinct in the wild, there will be a viable population in captivity to work with so that they can be reintroduced back into the wild; this program also involves releasing captive-bred and wild-conditioned offspring of declining species once they reach a certain age, thereby contributing to the wild populations. Around 500 California condors exist today, with more living in the wild than in captivity, and this wouldn’t have been possible if the 22 last remaining condors hadn’t been taken into captivity back in the 80s.
Hyenas are oportunists they do not work for their food I disilike...lionesses they are very fighitng and good mothers fascinante me they are good units ❤️😍😘❤️thank
The power of editing in these documentaries is so high tech, @26:41 the cheetah that was just out of devouring a gazelle is different from the one that is tending to its cubs. How comes it does not have a blood stain or did it clean its mouth after eating 🤣
I enjoyed your Documentaries in this beautiful place of the wild animals. It's looks nice out there. The animals will get a meal . Hyenas always steal a meal from predators.
If we look carefully, the gazelle cheetah hunted and the one hyenas snatched is different in the beginning. Look at the horns of each. This is the power of editing in nature documentary, and sadly it is inevitable. Even BBC does it.
I think I like the documentation started from the scripts to audio interaction, easy to understand as well captivate viewer momentum when listening to great voice intonation in documentary
A good narrator, especially for a American who they either are too Disney-fied or too jabbering all over the place but this one is on the David Attenborough standard.
@@nixunu2945 Cats eat grass to throw up...its not a medicine....Dogs eat grass when they need certain proteins that they miss in their food...again its no medicine
at 2:36, the little tommy that the cheetah catches....the hyena that comes to steal 'it' from the cheetah, well, that's a completely different ungulate, with long horns. LOL
I enjoyed this documentary, very informative. I know that there is a very high mortality rate for lion Cubs. It's such a shame that only one cub has survived the journey, but looking at his poor condition, it doesn't look as though this little cub will make it either. The Serengeti is certainly a very harsh environment.
When cheetah cought gazelle, it has very shot horn, but after hyena over power the meal automatically gazelle horn grow longer amazing, i was wondering when the time hyena finish her food, how long the horn will be,.
Something I realised about stories being told in nature documentaries is that the stories are almost ALWAYS made up for entertainment. They will capture many hours of footage and edit it to make a fake story.. It almost ruins Nature documentaries completely :(.
@@KrisFjord it's a different choice, say a RUclips video of a zebra having half of its face ripped off by a croc. Lots of that or the Disney That One Was Close & Went Back To Mum.. type thing. In Britain we fit into the middle & get it about right.
Its funny how we watch the lions hunt for a kill and its brought upon as a good thing but when the hyenas got the baby cub it was all sad music like they did something wrong or was the end of the world...Them lions are no different than the hyenas. But kudos to whoever made the video because you rarely see a cub all cheewed up ...i guess what im getting at is that it was nice and or interesting as well to see both sides of the story !!!!! Good documentary !!!
The difference is that hyena’s actively search many miles for free food, which is why they have such good smell. Other predators will scavenge aswell when the opportunity arises, but they actively decide to hunt instead of search for free meals.
