My grandpa served back in the day and used drugs to deal with his anxiety. And one day he met Soldier Boy and they talked for a while, that's when he decided to stop using drugs. Soldier Boy is an inspiration of mine.

My dad served in Vietnam with Soldier Boy. He said Soldier Boy shared all of his food rations with the troops if they just gave him 12 packs of cigarettes per day and didn't bother him in his tent. An American hero.
My grampa was in Vietnam from '69-'70. His platoon got ambushed by Charlie while they were patrolling a rice paddy. An enemy grenade nearly exploded next to grampa but Soldier Boy showed up and put his shield on top of it as it exploded. He the charged the VC position and wiped them all out!
My mom would have never been born and I wouldnt be alive today if it weren't for the HERO Soldier Boy. God bless him!

My grandpa used to always talk about soldier boy. My last memory of him was when he was on his death bed at the hospital. The TV was on and Vought introduced Homelander. He shed his final tear as he looked at me and said "now it's time for you to live in the age of REAL heroes". He truly passed in peace.

I love soldier boy, he's such a good role model and he's so kind. I once saw him giving presents to orphans at Christmas, he stood out in the cold for hours and did nothing to wipe away the snow that formed under his nostrils. Such an inspiration.

Soldier Boy turned my life around in 1984, when I was young and into some things….I shouldn’t have been. He inspired me to stop the drugs and make something of my life. Thank you Vought International. Now let’s get Homelander to run for president.

So inspiring to hear everyone's experiences with Soldier Boy. I grew up too late to really know him, but his legacy lives on in every young man or woman who dares to say no to drugs. It's hard not to get sentimental.

Soldier Boy showed up at my high school, gave a speech. Later, I walked in on him and Miss Christian going at it in the Art Department. Man, she had a stellar rack! Soldier Boy has been my hero ever since.

I was always made fun of as a kid for loving Soldier Boy. The other kids would tell me "Oh, but he 's from sooooo long ago!" or "What, is he your favorite because he's your dad's favorite?" But jokes on them, Soldier Boy gave me the drive and motivation I needed to achieve the success I now have. It was videos like these that helped get me where I am today. My Grandfather actually stormed Normandy with Soldier boy! He told me he couldn't see him on the beach due to all the bullets and explosives which made vision difficult but him and his platoon are certain that without soldier boy they never would have taken the beach, what a great man soldier boy is, sucks that the reactor took him too soon!
Soldier Boy was my grandpa's inspiration. He told me the story of how once he threw a car at a terrorist building and saving him and the whole town from some very dangerous terrorists.
I work everyday to become a person like soldier boy.

I grew up in a town just near the nuclear reactor that took Soldier Boy’s life and let me tell you. I thank my lucky stars everyday that such an incredible hero was there to thwart the meltdown or else I wouldn’t even be in this world. I pay my respects at the memorial every weekend with my family. Rest In Peace Soldier Boy, lost but not forgotten. A true paragon of patriotism and selflessness. No one will ever replace you.
Kind of a sheeple move to believe such an obvious cover up. That whole thing was conveniently staged. The Grayzone did a story about the obvious flaws in the official engineer's report into that "accident" and showed the original one which fails to align with the offical story. There's a lot of questionable stuff around that whole affair. Kind of weird that the two main guys who worked on the original investigation were both killed in a car accident, and all their original notes dissapeared.. All in all, there are over 15 mysterious deaths linked to that investigation. Who knew being an investigator into reactor safety carried such a high risk of mysterious car accidents, fatal armed robberies and murder suicide pacts? Lol.
Do some research. Soldier Boy was really a high level operative involved in US' dirty wars through out the Cold War and they got rid of him because he knew too much. There's even rumours that the Russians captured him. Alex Jones said something to that effect 10 years ago. I think that guy's just gone off the deep end though. Although it could be the Ruskies special kind of payback for old Soldier Boy helping out Stepan Bandera and Mykola Lebed in the 50's. Probably not though. I'm doubtful on that one.

I remember learning about this in history class. What a staunch Anti-Drugs advocate Soldier Boy was.
My Dad worked at the plant in Ohio when it melted down. He never saw Soldier Boy, but he credits him with getting out alive and saving our family. He'd always tell me the story as a kid, all the panic. He also always said if he died, at least he'd die knowing I wasn't close and could potentially be safe. In a weird turn of fate, as a child I was at a Vaught-sponsored hospital getting treatment for an infant disease. Miraculously they fixed me right up.

I remember back in the 80's when I was at my lowest. My mother and father had separated, I was failing horrifically in school, I almost fell into heavy drug use...
Until I saw this PSA. My favorite hero since I was a child, Soldier Boy saying that anyone who does drugs is a loser. I didn't wanna be hated by my idol, so I fought that lingering need for drugs. Today, I am married with a wife and 3 kids. 2 sons, 1 daughter. They are my pride and joy. Thank you, Soldier Boy. We never forget you.
Back in 1984 my cousin used to be addicted to drugs because he thought he was cool, but when soldier boy said that drugs are for losers my cousin started to turn his life around. Now he is 15 years sober and a succesful business man. Thank you soldier boy and vough studios for changing my cousin.

My grandpa fought in Normandy with Soldier Boy on D-Day. Though grandpa was in a different unit, Vought reported of Soldier Boys heroic acts every day. This way they knew Soldier Boy was right there with them. 2 weeks after D-Day, Grandpa even bumped into Soldier Boy and had a photo taken with him. Grandpa always said, they could not have done it without Soldier Boy.

I Remember as a child on tv when soldier boy performed crank that as a national anthem at several baseball games. My grandfather's favorite team stayed on a winning streak throughout the whole season.
Helped him clear out his old debt from a loan shark 50 years ago. Soldier boy's picture is in our dining room and to this day he's forever in our families debt.
I remember seeing his message on TV as a kid and it really stuck with me. I never did drugs and still haven't to this day thanks to Soldier Boy. What a legend
When I was little, I used to travel to America with my parents. They showed me these movies about Soldier Boy and Payback. It was really awesome and I still love them to this day. Thanks for making my childhood amazing, Soldier Boy.

My grandpa loved Soldier Boy, he always used to tell stories about him from back in his service days. His world war 2 stories were my favorite growing up! Kind of strange though, right near the end of his life he told me he never saw Soldier Boy on the field. I think it was the Alzheimer’s finally getting to him...
He really practiced what he preached just like his fellow “Just say no”spokespersons Corey Feldman, Dana Plato, Drew Barrymore, Soliel Moon Frye and Corey Haim. Great role models all. Never touched a drug in their lives.

Soldier Boy personally inspired me and my family, I saw my children doing hand signals yesterday. I managed to catch them in the act before they could do any harm. I showed my kids this and they now look to you as an inspiration. Thank you, you were such a wonderful superhero!
my grandma who is now 99 years old worked for the British Special Operations Executive during ww2. Her name is Maggie Carson. and she says she met Soldier Boy during a joint operation with the Americans. She said he was the humblest, bravest, most gentlemanly guy, so much she asked if he had English heritage haha! and he was obviously easy on the eyes! They had a very platonic fling, quickly cut off by both being sent to separate war theaters, (that was way before she met my granps!), and now she's in a retirement home here in London, getting misty eyed and talking about how he still owes her a garden fair. SB, if you're reading this, please show up at my granms before she dies, she'll go away with happiness in her heart!
I remember hearing this in my middle school PE class, those words that Soldier Boy said, “Real heroes don’t us drugs” really resonated with me and has affected me in having a good life. A real superhero would never use drugs, that would make them a loser.
Soldier Boy is such a pure soul. I worked at a retirement home in the 70s and 80s and he always swung by to check on the residents. The men greatly respected him and the women were very fond of him, requesting late night talks to which he graciously obliged. They must have reminisced together over happy memories because once he left, they had great beaming smiles on their faces. Not satisified with just bringing tranquility to these blessed souls, he even left vaseline so they could keep their skin healthy and refreshed. I was greatly saddened by the news that he had passed away back in 1984 yet his heroic sacrifice continues to inspire us. Here's to you, Soldier Boy!

So I remember them playing this for us back in middle school. I was captivated by how honest and cool solider boy was. My grandfather met him while he was stationed out of country during his time in the army. He said the guy was a class act. I've been looking up to this guy for ages. Good to see they still kept this video after all this time.

Sad thing the series had to be discontinued after one season because the audience didn't want a mental protagonist as the hero. It was a bad influence and encouraged children to develop mental problems on their own too.

Growing up soldier boy was always my favorite even though he was dead way before I was born I wish I could be the next soldier boy and save people
My gay grandma - which was something special back in the days - once had an encounter with Soldier Boy. She was in serving as a nurse in a hospital during World War 2 and Soldier Boy was bringing in some soldiers from the defense line he so bravely rescued. Once he was talking to my grandma he was very, very kind to her but since she was gay she turned his words down. While she, taking care of another patient, something went on fire and the whole hospital explode but guess what - Soldier Boy saved my grandma which was the only survior of this accident - how lucky she was!!!!
I still thank him until this day that he saved my grandma as lone survivor and she always emphasized his dignity, warm-hearted words and she always said as an American we cannot do enough to thank such a hero!
It is a miracle that my gay grandma gave birth to my mum - we call it a blessing in our family and believe that her beliefs in America allowed her to receive a child. In the meantime my grandma calls herself Steve and still hold Soldier Boy in high regard. Sometimes my believe in her story makes me that strong that when I am bullied at school I fought back and pushed the bullys several meters away - all by the love in god and belief in our heroes!
Don't do drugs and I wish Soldier Boy would still be around so he can enlighten your grandmas. I wish in the afterlife he can still do that in whatever way.
