Well, I am not disappointed for a second, pure skillful playing with every note being on point and a quality video yet again. You nailed this one aswell. Hats off to you my man, keep 'em coming!
Amazing man ! That’s so sick ! Cleanest cover of that song, the video production is top notch, and the tone of your guitar is sick ! 🔥 (Would it be possible to share your profile ?) Keep it up, cheers from France !
Thanks! Unfortunately I am not allowed to share the profile as I've just modified it, though if you search for Deadlight Studios 5150 -preset in Rig Exchange, add a little Green Scream and EQ, you should get similar results!
I really think this should have many more views than it does! I keep coming back just to appreciate it some more because it sounds amazing. Do you try to write your own stuff in the same tuning they use? It seems like it would be so much harder coming up with the riffs they play matched with the odd timings in their stuff. One last question, you excited for the album that's coming (soon, hopefully)?
Thank you, I appreciate it a lot! I do use this tuning and you are correct, it is quite difficult to create riffs like this and make it sound "musical" so to speak. Big thumbs up for the album though, Buster's teasers have been killing it lately!
New subscriber cool cover does Vildhjarta do the tuning of the string to C# live and studio version too that’s so interesting 🤔 cool cover you nailed this track
Thanks! I honestly have no idea, I've seen Buster use pitch shifter but it's possible Vildhjarta is tuning from C. I'd say it's most unlikely they're detuning in the middle of the song like I do.
Wow that’s so cool to know. Pitch shifting is logical I wouldn’t blame them but if they don’t got a locking nut on there guitars that means they got perfect pitch in there ears to detune/up tune there guitars like that Vildhjarta is boss and so are you being able to do that! How long you been playing music you got that pitch perfect as well!
Are you pitch shifting or genuinely tuning that low? I have a hard time getting my 28 inch baritone to get that lone with 72 gauge strings, let alone 58. Awesome cover and tone btw
I am tuning it down / up. I raised the bridge quite a lot but the ML1-7 scale is only 673mm (~26.5") so the 7th string at C is pretty sloppy, though it doesn't seem that bad in the video.
@@Krisse Oh my, kudos on making that gouge sound so tight! I'm using .70 and sounds sloppy as hell, although I still didn't adjust the bridge to be fair. What I thought they did is using a whammy to downtune the whole guitar for certain riffs, but thats some hundreds of $ against a simple peg turn :P
Actually yes, though I only used it to map out the song so it's not very accurate. You'll need FL Studio but you can get it for free and use all the features, just can't save any projects. Download here: bit.ly/2QsxhFj
I prefer to do it "for real". I don't know if Vildhjarta plays it like this but I doubt it. I do not own a 8-string but a longer scale would sure help regardless of the amount of strings!
@@Krisse wow, surprised you can get an 8 string tuning on a regular 7. My 7 string, only 25.5", sits comfy at Drop G but I dont think it'd do well much lower
the drop tuning live cover was such a fucking flex dude this was amazing
Haha 😄
The fact you tuned your guitar instead of using a whammy pedal amazed me when you released this and still does!
okay, lets put a 20 second clean guitar part there, so we can tune our guitar:

@@1349-o2m they use a 7 string drop E or F# and the tuning changes are midi controlled
@@evanwilliamsss That actually seems more reasonable. I mean they have been using 7 strings on all of their records
Buster Odeholm uses computers to change everything on the fly. I could be wrong be he did a video talking about it a humanitys last breath song

Watching your Vildhjarta covers makes my urge for a 7-string unbearable! Keep it up brother you totally rock
Thank you so much! Looking back I wouldn't mind trying a 6 string again though, Mr. Thomér's got plenty of proof for that!
the precision is amazing
Oh Lord... This is very complex... This is insane wow...💪💪💪💪

Much appreciated!
Everything is perfect in this cover.

Looking forward to this big time

How did you tune a 058 string to low E? That's insane.
Super floppy I guess, even on a 28" scale. I have the 6 strings version of this guitar, I put a 072 and it's a little wobbly even.
My guess is that he used a pitch shifter, that's what I do to tune my guitar, with 10 to 58, in F#/F

@@Krisse thank you very much for sharing brother, much appreciated.
DAMN I didn't think about downtunning the 7th string before that riff!!! Very cool idea man! What gauge are you using for the 7th by the way?

Bro I love thall, i love this music but when I try to play it my brain explodes, can you guys fckn do a riff that doesnt change every other note🫠
How is that low string playable tuned down to C with only a .58? That seems impossible.
With drop pedal
Did anyone value this downtuning while playing!?
Why the tune down? Do you think that's how they play it or you didn't have an 8 string available? just curious, sick cover either way

I believe vildhjarta plays it in drop e and pitch shifts for the c# parts but tuning mid-song is easily the more badass way to do it lmao
Lower from D1 standard to drop-C1 on the eighth, correct?
From E to C on the seventh, but indeed I had the description wrong (C#).
Was it pitch shifted down to E? Or did you actually tune down to E? I keep coming back and wondering 😂
I am tuning it up / down between E and C, I don't use pitch shifters on any of my covers.
Thanks! Still don’t get how it’s playable but that’s fine lol
.58s for Drop E? Are you using a pitch shifter or is it actually tuned that low?
It is tuned, I don't use pitch shifters in any of my covers.
Why not use a Digitech whammy instead of tuning it right before those certain sections?
I prefer to do it "for real".
like number 69 ! hahaha
The tabs arent matching up to what youre playing. Is there a missing page or wrong file'?
Can you specify what is missing? I just glanced through it and it seems everything is there.
Nucking fasty. Utterly despicable and gross to great effect.
Jeez, You really use 11-58 for Drop E?
Yes, R11-7 by Rotosound!
@@Krisse Man, that doesn't seem possible other than pitch shifting down?
Well at least with the 26.5" scale Chapman and suitable bridge setup you can go even lower before it becomes unplayable.
Has no one noticed he is playing a 7 string and the string's aren't upside down
He tuned to drop e in the 7
Wait this song changes tuning in middle wtf
I don't know if the original really does, since Vildhjarta might be using a pitch shifter or just a different tuning (e.g. 8-string with both C and E)
@@Krisse That's sick! Well played man!! Love the tone
I'm using my 8 set up with it tuned like that...too low for me to tune it so quick and accurate lol
