Not only did this cause the team to lose George Fan, the original creator of the game, and Laura Shigihara who composed the music until then, but EA as the new publisher also decided how much work is put into the game and how it gets monetized.
I just love how this song just hints to notes that foreshadow the modern day era without being too identical, and how odd it feels when some notes are missing from the modern day soundtrack

It made more sense for the Cabbage-pult to be in Ancient Egypt because the three pult brothers were originally be obtained in the first three worlds of the game (Kernel-pult in Pirate Seas, and Melon-pult in Wild West).

Peter Mcconnel will probably never live quite up to Laura Shigihara, but honestly PvZ2 established the style and instrumentation for the series overall more then PvZ1 as far as the way Plants vs Zombies music in general sounds throughout the spinoffs like Heroes and the Garden Warfare franchise
