I was so bad I had to despawn enemies so my eternally hollowed a$$ could defeat the next boss at 50% max health
I know the stone soldiers don't stop respawning.
I watched my brother grind them for hours for souls and their slabs, the ruin sentinels nearby stop respawning a long time ago. He must of cleared that room hundreds of times...
Even after he killed every npc the most evil part of this video is the raid shadow legends ad

The Crucible Knight and Leonine Misbegotten are actually a really cool duo fight lorewise. Misbegotten are creatures tied inherently to the primordial crucible of life, which is also where the crucible knights draw their power from. I like to think the Crucible Knight jumps in to help his kin the Misbegotten.

I agree but the problem is that the Misbegotten is an arena defending a guy (Radahn) who worked for and served a religion that enslaved and killed his kind. And Crucible knights also serve the Golden Order.

three fingers spawns when you enter its room, no need for a questline and in the 2nd frenzied flame ending cutscene melina picks up a burned and destroyed spectral steed wistle so you technically can kill torrent but it means melina would remain alive

That cutscene is just dictating the events after you burn the erdtree, just because theres no cutscene where Melina picks up torrents ring before its erased dosnt mean it dosnt get erased without her picking it up!
Thats like saying if a tree falls in the forest and nobody is around to hear it, it dosnt make noise!

Great video, but I feel that I need to point out that killing Bernahl as early as you did prevented you from being able to kill Vagram the Raging Wolf and Errant Sorcerer Wilhelm in Lyndell, technically invalidating the genocide run based on the rules you set. It's an easy mistake to make though, I've locked myself out of that fight by killing Bernahl early before as well
Same with Patches and the Bull-Goat guy.
He gets all 4 of the guys you said he didn't get. It was quick, but he got them around the 20:50 mark after killing Juno Hoslow

Iirc Torrent’s ring gets destroyed in the Frenzied Flame cutscene (if Melina is still alive), and I think it’s safe to assume it would still be destroyed even if she was dead.
@Sui It starts off intact, or at least in its original shape. But it very visibly crumbled to nothing in Melina’s hand.
Fun fact: Ulcerated tree spirit is actually a reused asset from dark souls 3. It was actually going to be Aldritch devourer of gods with a black slime texture, but they changed it during development. Thank GOD they changed it in DS3.

The frenzied ending kills Torrent. I think the frenzied flame ending actually offers more opportunity for death and destruction.
So that's really the only thing I would have done differently to wrap things up.

ulcerated tree spirit would have been fine as an outdoors boss, but they put it into a confined area, which made it overpowered.
it has this long flailing aoe thrash attack that causes it to fly around the arena like a charging fallenstar beast, but with a much wider area of effect.
it's also hard to tell when the thrashing charge is an attack, and when it is just a boss running around the arena.
There is an outdoor version of it near Volcano Manor actually. If you kill that one in particular, you get a tear to put in your Physick that reduces FP consumption to 0 for 15 seconds. It doesn't make the boss any better, but you do have a much larger area to fight the boss in.

I loved seeing those tree spirits at first. I knew fighting it was like getting blindfolded cause it covers your whole screen but the drop is just too good. I love golden seeds
I still think it's pretty lame that there are some npc who cannot be killed (having to fight melina while going for the frenzied flame ending or being able to kill rennala after obtaining destined death would have been cool)
I'm still pissed there's apparently no viable way to end that b*tch ranni...

Its a rare drop from the scythe wielding skeletons and I beat Elden Ring while dual wielding them, it can be considered the best scythe in the game *seeing as only 4 Reapers exist*

I can tell this’ll be a great video, the title alone has a Ring to it.
Its funny that all of the unkillable NPCs have a death animation..
As for rogier, goldmask and diallos, they die when their quests are done (rogier gets cursed by deathroot, diallos dies against an enemy in jarburg and goldmask dies in leyndell after creating his mending rune). As for corhyn you can kill him either in altus plateau (when he searches for goldmask) or in the ashen capital after you finished goldmasks questline.

Bosses like the ulcerated tree spirit in limgrave or any of the MANY magma wryms are easy enough if you stay under them, For the most part of the boss battle you just stay under them and with attacks such as the magma wryms floor magma attack you get away as you do have time to run/dodge before your burned. The trick is litteraly to just stay under them and attack and I believe this is how FromSoft wanted it to be played because they are very weak to slash/jab/bleed attacks on their stomachs. Also grayol the big ass sleeping dragon with like seven small dragons around it can be woken up and operate like any other dragon battle if you attach his face. Attack face, get biggest boss in the game

18:42 This boss is actually okay as a repeat because it has significance in the lore. Mohg and Morgott were imprisoned here and when Mohg left to do his whole dynasty thing with Miquella he left this phantom here to trick the capital into thinking he hadn’t escaped

I really would’ve liked to see the little pickup spam on the friendly npc kills so that we the audience could see if maybe killing one of da boys would be worth it without reading the whole wiki, but great video regardless! I think it was a good concept and I really like the heavily cut-down style for the clips you put it. ER is so big it’s nice to have more digestible videos on the topic lol.

It's actually kinda funny that you chose the age of the duskborn ending, because what that does is basically make life and death one in the same, the purpose of that being Godwyn's "resurrection." The funny part is everyone that died in this run is basically now "alive" again because of this ending.

Just to let you know in lore the three fingers die when you burn the erdtree without the frenzied flame. you can tell cause it's the heat from the frenzied flame which keeps the gate heated allowing it to be opened, but it died and it is sealed forever after you burn the erdtree without it. you could also technically say it died after giving you the frenzied flame cause in all reality it's just a carrier to give on to the next person, but I'm not coming to conclusions.
I know I'm 9 months late to this but that makes no sense? You can still inherit the frenzied flame after burning the erdtree...
You can get grabbed by the three fingers without doing Hyetta's quest. Happened to me on my first playthrough.
i really like it when the magma wyrms charge at me 5 times in a row, filling the entire room with magma making it impossible for me to dodge his charges

Amazing video, but you missed a single, rather hidden merchant. When you go to the main gate of Raya Lucaria, you can go past the south gate and down the stairs to find a merchant chilling in the back!

I feel like the golden ghost Godfrey is supposed to be like, a little teaser for the real Godfrey returning. Plus it gives you a bait n switch since you won't be expecting him to go full Hora Lux mode halfway through.
Plus I like the tiny detail that his axe isnt broken as a ghost. Like the golden order only chooses to remember him as a perfect king instead of the flawed person he was.
