hi denim Darlin man i really sorry you had such a tuff time. thank you for sharing, i totally relate to you. i am also a red wing nut i wear a straight up 10D for a guy and it works both with my iron rangers & my moc-toes. i’m waiting to get a call from my Red Wing store for a pair of iron ranger 8083’s Hawthorne Muleskinner’s you know the ones any i love your videos. thank you again for all your good information about red wings i’ve learned a-lot from you. take-care, Kevin.
Hi Kevin! Thank you so much for reaching out. I’m happy you have found your size that works for you. And I am absolutely stoked for you to own the Hawthorne Muleskinners!! I have always wanted a pair and wish RW made them for women. I even reached out to them once and requested them. They told me to start with the Pewter Acampo. But they just don’t compare. I look forward to hearing about when you finally get them and how the break in goes. Take care!
My first pair of Iron Ranger were too big. I overcompensated and went down too far on my second purchase. I went from 9.5 EE to an 8.5 EE. I 100% agree do not go too far down. Even though the larger boot was a little roomy, it still fit OK. I think I might have damaged my feet a little when breaking in the smaller size boot. Lesson learned. It motivated me to learn my Brannock Measurements.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I 100% agree. Brannock measurements are so important. Breaking in boots would be so much better, if we all started there.
YES!! I have a pair of men’s Amber Harness Iron Rangers and can attest to the difficult break in. I hope they are some of your most comfortable boots now!

Great information.
Thank you! 😁
When I broke in my iron rangers it was pretty tough. I could only wear them for a few hours at a time.

I have found that the Oro Legacy leather runs larger in every style I’ve tried. Men’s and women’s. 🤷🏻♀️
Fascinating!! I hadn’t thought about that nor noticed that detail. I will pay closer attention 🤔 Thank you! 😊
