- The New LEGO Dungeons & Dragons CMF line of miniatures is dropping on September 1st, 2024. Which minfigure will be the most popular (aka. MOST VALUABLE) Lets grade and rank each minifigure. I'll tell you all my thoughts on which ones I think are BEST for you to pick up in my opinion.
Your rankings are yours but I think you missed the mark. A lot of the named charcaters, Lady of Pain, Szazz Tam the Mindflair etc won’t be as popular because there’s not much customization going on there. The non names charcaters can be mixed and matched to make them your own. You could use the Tiefling head and hair and make a Tiefling Bard. Or take the Elf Bards head and hair and legs and make him and elf ranger. Those figs will be more desirable because it allows more customized options with the multiple gender heads and ability to swap and mix and match will mean people will want more of those figs than the named characters
That’s a good point! That very well may push their popularity higher. I am a fan of Elf bard!
came down here to say the same thing. i’m a huge fan of DnD but i would say a good chunk of people buying these minifigs are lego castle fans so the im predicting the dragon born paladin will be the most popular figure because of that amazing printing and new armor piece
Didn't he already say he be way off
Imagine creating a huge faction of Bards, each one using different instruments
@@SilverScribe85 not going to lie! That would be epic!
I actually am in a party of four bards.
@@TheBrickQuest The question is...does Lego have other kinds of instrument accessories from other sets (guitars, harps, trumpets etc.)
@@SilverScribe85 I believe there violins, trombone, different types of guitars and probably more so it could get done.
@@attackonponyproductions4927 awesome!
These D&D minis look amazing and I don’t even follow D&D but the designs are awewome
I agree 100%! Really amazing CMF series!
I am really getting tired of so called ambassadors getting these 2 months in advance and we have to sit around and wait.. Same goes for normal sets. Everything is already made, just send them out. Nothing against you. I enjoy your work...
@@williamokeson2154 I appreciate it! I do get the frustration. LEGO is a business so I guess they just want to build the hype. I was able to find mine at a Walmart store early so I lucked out.
i already got the full set at my local walmart
Oh, the Dragonborn Paladin IS very popular--went to my Lego store to pick up the last two, and all the Dragonborn Paladins were gone! I plan to try and collect at least 5 of them.
Ya it seems like everyone has Dragonborn at the top of their list! Very cool minifigure! Thanks for the info on them at the LEGO store.
Hmm... I'd but Lady of Pain in last place in my rank, but that's mainly because I don't follow the D&D storyline, and its colors clash too much. But my top three are in this order: Dragonborn, Tasha, and the Elf bard. I already have at least two of each of em :)
Nice top 3! It does seem like not as many people like Lady of pain which does surprise me. Dragonborn seems to be hitting everyone’s top 3.
100% best cmf made
I agree!
Everyone do not listen to this guy, except dragonborn his assessment does not make sense for classic lego castle fan, his ranking is more suitable for dnd fans
My assessment wasn’t just for classic Lego fans but all great minifigs. What would you say are your top 3 from the line?
@@TheBrickQuestI have to agree with the poster.your off base about this series. It’s not about the named characters. It’s more about the customization people can do with the series.
Third OP. 1. Paladin, 2. Mindflayer, 3. (Tasha is amazing, but no) either Strahd for the rat pack, or the Tiefling for the dragon mold.
Yeah--I don't see lady of pain selling so well. As a huge D&D fan I hadn't even heard of her, nor had any of my friends . . . I'll still get one but I don't see too many people getting her
You might be right on that! I did think LEGO did a really good job with her. Do you have a minifigure you think will become the most popular since you know the D&D world well?
The Planescape Torment video game has a pretty large following. Also, the theme and her character are not super kid friendly, and that frequently leads to a figure being more desirable.
It's factually Mindflayer. I checked around 40-50 boxes and there was only one lol. I did luck out with 3 dragon paladins though. The most common were lady of pain and the dwarf. (Lady of pain fucking sucks NGL)
The dragon is especially nice because of the armour being detachable revealing printing on the torso, AND detachable horns. I have some long white horns and other horns and the customisation of it let me make a "head" paladin with bigger horns compared to the other two
I am really looking forward to the new Dungeons and Dragons minifigures.
Yes. Some really great minifigs!
That bard is incredible. The colors are so great and look so fun together.
I went to the Lego store and the Lady of Pain simply wasn't shopped for. I would rate her the worst.
Its not a rocket science, everything castle themed will go up. And military/massable/historic minifigures will go up too.
1)DragonDude - 95 will go to the moon, massable and castle themed.
2) Vampire-90, Witch85, Bard85, . - Everybody likes vampires, witch and bard both look like from castle set,
3) Druid75, Dwarf70, Warlock75, Dragonlady70 -kinda mid minifigures, but usable,
4) Mindflayer50, Ladyofpain55, Skeletondude65, Chickenman60 -cringe minifigures, skeletondude has nice cape, thats all.
Castle themed minifigures do tend to do very well! Good list. One thing everyone does have in common is putting Dragonborn up at the top of the list. Great minifigure and very versatile.
Great video, btw its Drew-id ;)
all I do is hope this is just 1st D'n'D minifig collection
Let’s hope!
How do you give points? It feels like you are making them up.
I have a category breakdown on regular Lego sets. Each category earns a certain amount of points. I went a little simpler with this video. I’m just giving a score I felt was appropriate to the minifigure based on look and potential popularity. It is just my opinion and take.
I was happy to get three random boxes on this series, I liked all the potential outcomes except the bird guy. Got the Lady of Pain, the tiefling and the vampire
Your lineup is solid but I would have Szass, strahd, and then lady of pain
Great lineup! All definitely top minifigures for me as well.
Dragonborn is going to be nr1 in popularity just for the army building alone, with the greath torso and armor prints you can even make 2 factions out 1 fig
Great review, thank you. I not much aware what exactly is D&D, but I liked the figures. Given the fact, that I heard, that some old figures sell for hundreds of dollars - I will look to get this full set. Hopefully, Lego will have it in the boxes 6 + 6.
Thiefling sorcerer and gith warlock are my favorite.
Nice! Both solid because you mix and match the character elements.
The headdress on lady of pain is off the charts absolutely amazing
Yes. Really epic headdress! Did you have a favorite in the line?
I'm really not a fan of the Strahd figure. He's probably the lowest on my list.
Got ya. Which are your favorites then?
@TheBrickQuest The Dragonborn is definitely the top spot, then the Mind Flayer(and his awesome brain dog); with Strahd, Zsass Tam, and Tasha at the bottom(they're not bad, just not amazing to me). All the rest are in the middle for me. All the others are very good figures, but really only the Dragonborn and the Mind Flayer stand out to me as ones I might get more than one of. Overall, it's a great series, but I think the space series might still be my favorite overall. The Dragonborn and the Mind Flayer might be my favorite cmf's of all time, though
Imagine a cmf of The Witcher 3 or LOTR...♥️♥️♥️💸💸💸
I already have multiple of half of these. Been making my and friends characters for a whole week now
Totally disagree with your ranking…, dwarf, gith are amazing. Your favorite is one of my last ranked ones. But does it matter - no they are all awesome, best series ever!
Absolutely! You can’t really go wrong with any of the CMFs in this series!
Not at all
👍
The dwarf has a horn on the back. Like for calling reinforcements.
Other than some pronunciation issues I have to give it to you. Well researched.
@@georgecook83 oh got it! Thanks for letting me know.
Much appreciated! This game goes deep so a lot of research was needed! I enjoyed it though.
It’s a lot. A very deep rabbit hole.
Do you have a TOP 3 on this Dungeons & Dragons CMF minifigure series?
Mindflayer, Dragonborn and Lady of Pain
Dragonborn, Halfling Druid, and Strahd Von Zorovich
@@nickhu5322 mindflayer is awesome! Easily could have been in my top 3 as well.
@@amyjones25 all amazing minifigures! The halfling Druid has a really cool look and feel!
1. Dragonborn Paladin 2. Tasha the Witch Queen 3. Elf Bard
#1 paladin #2 dragon, #3 druid or ranger
Great minifigs! A lot of people of the the dragonborn paladin at #1. Good call!
