Cleveland did him dirty. They had SB within their grasp and went with the NFL's Bill Crosby at the cost of 230 mil guaranteed. Tampa is 2-0 and both were solid wins with Baker at the helm. The whole team loves him- it's plain to see.
@@bucsredsoxredwings I'd call it solid. You're playing a team contending for a SB, on the road, and they are coming off a huge win against the Rams. It could have been a bit better but they won. They held up on defense and Baker scored when he needed to.
Baker will probably never read this but here we go. Baker, as a life long Bucs fan here is what I expect of you, and likely the rest of the fan base... Play to your best ability, keep playing with the drive, determination, competitiveness, and heart that you have shown us. That is what we expect from a Franchise QB, we believe in you, the team believes in you, all you need to do now is believe in yourself and have fun, if you can do that I believe you can earn a Super Bowl ring.
I always believed in Baker, even when in 2021 & 2022 he was down and out/dead to everyone. I knew he could do great things still. Glad I got that right lol.
Mayfield might finally have the stability that should help him thrive. Having head coach after head coach and offensive coordinator after offensive coordinator can have an adverse effect on a quarterback. I'm happy to see him succeeding as a Buc.
This is exactly what Cleveland deserves. They turned on him because OBJ started whining about not getting targets and jettisoned him for Bill Cosby in shoulder pads. I’m so glad that Mayfield is lighting it up in TB
I can see him being on the outside fringes of that discussion. Around weeks 10-15 when that topic really starts heating up in the media... they will have 2 or 3 guys pegged but it will be... "and what about Baker in Tampa"... especially if the Bucs are genuine fire that late in the season
His biggest flaw was always his immaturity his rise to number 1 pick and the pressures that came with never fit with him and his talents he seems grown and aware that this environment were hes not on anyones radar were nobodys talking and or expecting anything out of him is best suited for him to to out and light it up
I am a Browns fan, but liked Mayfield from the beginning and think the Browns went woke with Berry and onward. Last year and going forward I am a Buccaneers fan and looking forward to Mayfield doing great things there.
I love my team because we actually give talented players a shot and actually develop them as well. It’s what makes the Bucs organization special. Panthers and browns will always be poverty franchises because they look for overnight results instead of building a solid foundation by believing in and developing the players they acquire.
Cleveland thank you for writing this guy off and treating him like dirt doing guys like him that way only drives them to be the greatest and shutting up the naysayers it’s like they did the dirty work for us and the buccs reaping the rewards
This year the NFL has shown with the right support, a number of QBs can succeed. Everyone thought Sam Darnold could not do anything after the NY Jets. However, he is showing in Minnesota actually how good he is, leading them to a 2-0 record. Geno Smith started also with the NY Jets and now has been playing very well for Seattle, now cemented as a starter in his third season. Baker is also showing with the right support around him he can succeed as well. In the end, this just shows how terrible the NY Jets and Cleveland Brown franchises are. They don't even know what they have and now instead have a QB past his prime (Rogers) and a QB who cannot stay out of trouble (Watson).
Every player in every sport wants to be more consistent. IMO, Baker hasn't "evolved" as much as, his ridiculously bad circumstances have finally changed. He's always been VERY good, but football is a "TEAM" sport.
Just pls don't start doing interviews like crazy especially in bye week and if we are doing good enough that all the big channels start paying attention will start losing if you do that like last year.
Hue, Kitchens and Stefanski all had a hand in it. I wonder what would have happened if instead of Kitchens, the Browns instead went with Williams. Until now, Williams was the only one to use Baker effectively.

Dang Bake had this video done at halftime what a talent
Scripted?
No, this was just released at that time... This video was recorded down in Tampa at our training facility.

I would not call the DET win solid.
@@bucsredsoxredwings Against THAT defense and offense? Walking out with a win is DEFINITELY solid!

This man is proving wrong to a lot of people and organizations.
Kudos to Baker Mayfield having to fill the GOAT’s shoes!! It was definitely not easy for him whatsoever! He’s done a great job doing it!

BIG BAKE!!
I thought that was Mahomes doing the interview at first. I only heard the voice
Bucs should try to trade to get TE Mark Andrews from Ravens.
That would be sick, but to give what in return is the big question
From Outlaw to Pirate..!
