I hate change so much. And moving and thinking about moving is so stressful. New York does suit you. And it will be weird seeing a new place in your videos but ultimately you have to do what’s right for you. I wish there were more options in the city or outside of the city. Hope everything works out!
It's been such a treat to see NYC through your eyes. Wishing you good luck in your move and excited to see where you end up--your videos are always so gorgeous and soothing, every place you go. Thank you ❤
Post grad I lived with my parents for 8 months and it really helped!! Also now I really appreciate that time with them - living so far away from them!! ❤ Change is tough - one step at a time AND it's totally okay to cry it out! Daily journaling helps me as a girl with depression but no therapist ~ highly recommend finding a support group too! YOU GOT THIS🎉 give yourself grace! Challenge yourself to try new things~!! Don't give up💕
Future and change is scary, sometimes. But remembering who you are and what you want to do, are important factors for conquering that unknown feeling. Of course, having family and friends being there for you is also an reassuring presence to strive forward. Something I'm figuring out when I graduate college; what I want to do in the future as well. I hope everything works out well!! Lots of love, girly!!
I'm actually going through a very similar change right now. In Feb I'll be moving from Atlanta back home to Puerto Rico to stay with my mom for a few months because of high rent prices & also just not knowing where else to go. It's scary and stressful, especially choosing what to keep and what to give away/throw away because I also love all my things. I pray you find peace and clarity with whatever you choose to do!
I've been done with nyc since the pandemic hit! I'm a native-born NYer and currently living an hour away from the city. Honestly, upstate has affordable living, the only thing is... you need to get your driver's license. I use to live and go to college in Buffalo. The rent was affordable! My aim is to move down south or Arizona... idk I just want land where i can grow veggies and stuff. lol
Change is hard! Especially when that change includes leaving a place considered home that was your place of comfort! Wishing you the best during this time ❣️
I’m figuring out things for grad school too and it’s terrifying. I think we have to remind ourselves we’re still really young. Plus even though it feels like there’s not enough time, there is and we’ll figure it.
I’m also at a crossroads in life, where there are so many choices but change sucks. It’s nice to know others are going through it as well, we got this.
Found your videos randomly and I fell in love with your vids. I totally understand having an existential crisis, and living costs have gone up drastically after COVID. I'm also figuring out what to do for life and where to move to next (living in the Bay Area rn), I wish you the best of luck, but also don't ever give up on doing what you love. It's essential even the hardest times you keep what you love with you. ❤
I visited to New York around late march this year and your vlog brings me so many good memories ❤ you filmed almost every place I went to that weekend, crazy how we are so apart from each other but at the same time we were at the same places and filmed almost the same things!
I literally love your content. I love you bluntness and honesty about your political stance. I love that you’re so open about your experience ❤you definitely inspire me. I shall be posting my first vlog because of you. (Under a different account lol)
I wish you lots of strength and courage in the days and months to come. Change is scary but have hope and faith that things will be okay. Sending you lots of positivity and good energy your way.
Change sucks for the most part! I hope everything works out for you in the end. I think it will.. life for the most part seems to work that way doesn't it? I too suffer from anxiety and know what you are feeling right now. If you do have to make the switch to leave NY it's going to be so weird getting used to that even from our end but new adventures can be exciting too! Thank you for the long vlog and I hope you and lil Rocky are doing well ♥
Hi Katherine, I just started watching your videos and I can definitely relate to how you feel. I don’t like change either. Me and my sister are graduating college and I can tell you the transition is so scary, because we are trying to figure out what to do next. And we want to move away but the cost of living is really high everywhere. Keep your head up, Katherine. You got this. I love your videos by the way their beautiful.
i love seeing new york city from your eyes through your videos and it’s going to be sad to see you leave, but i hope you end up doing what’s good for you and that you find the opportunities you need to help you through. sending love! and as always, thank you for sharing this vlog 🤍
I feel like you'd thrive in Ashville, NC.... My bffs and I go on a regular basis, the vibes and people are great. It's only an hr from us and your so close to Charlotte, Nashville, Roanoke. Wishing you lots of luck! 💜✨
I don't know if this will resonate but you're footage of New York in the winter reminds me of the final season of Mr. Robot. The season took place around Christmas and some shots of the city were very dark and bleak but some of the interior scenes were very cosy and festive. It makes the want to watch the show again 😊
change is honestly so hard! i wish you & rocky all the best. it's okay to be sad and grieve about all of this, i can't imagine how hard it is for you. plus i completely understand the racing train that comes with anxiety. i really hope you are able to find new places, people, and experiences that you will enjoy. hopefully this is not a complete goodbye to nyc, because i can tell it really suits you.
I feel what you're going through so bad. I'm going to move out of the big city I've lived for 21 years soon. I've always known that I wanted to move out of the city but now that I actually know it's going to happen it's so hard to leave the comfort of accessibility. And even outside the city the prices are incredibly high right now. Just the thought of moving, figuring out where to move, finding an apartment etc. is giving me terrible anxiety constantly. I hope that wherever you decide to go it will be a healing prcess for you after the move and that it will feel like home for you. Sending lots of love and encouragement 💜🖤
Your vlogs make my day and it's something I really look forward to. Beautiful and aesthetic, its like therapy. Also same, hate change too lol Change can be tough at times. No matter where you move to your vlogs will still be interesting. Decluttering can be difficult!
I’m an hour out from the city and I would recommend looking into some modern/contemporary art history grad programs. It’s not stuffy old history and would give you the room to research historical as well theoretical material with that knowledge of photography that you have. I was a history major for my bachelors and the job prospects are just a tad more open for art history but you get the same satisfaction for the history bit. My advisor told me history would only make sense if you went for a terminal degree as a PhD. But art history you can do a lot with a masters without having to continue if you don’t want to. So if you move upstate, nyc is the hub for art history
I really admire your resilience through everything, I hope you find another place in NY, we’d love for you to stay. 🖤 We genuinely need more well read and ambitious ppl like you, its getting overloaded with trust fund babies 😭 anyways, hope I run into you!! :))
If you’re able to consider overseas living, it’s really life-giving. If you’re considering US places, I recommend spots like Asheville, NC. It is extremely artistic and creative, has smaller campuses through UNC, providing accessibility to many things big cities offer while maintaining a smaller town art hub vibe, keeping you on the East Coast, giving you cooler weather without the ice/slush that comes after snowfalls, and also generously giving you access to views of the Smoky Mountains that are incredible and will take your breath away.
We will support you no matter what Katie, best wishes to you and your auntie. If you're reading this, you might like Boston or maybe you can go to Vermont again? It's still New York vibes just less busy ofc, you can still see the fall season. Basically, any east coast states, but you'd hate the south or the west coast its hot/warm all year round sadly. Coming from a girly who lived in California and Texas.
I know you posted this a month ago so you probably won’t even see this but each time I watch this video I verbally answer your question so I’m just gonna finally comment lol. 29:03 if your cousin is your first cousin, their kid is still called your cousin, they’re just a your first cousin, once removed. (If I’m wrong someone please correct me lol)
I'm much older than you. But I feel the same way you do. Life scares me. So much is going in the wrong direction. I loved your videos so much. The New York vibes. I will miss it very much. I wish you a lot of strength for all is coming up. I look forward to more videos from you.

I can feel the ‘saying goodbye to new york city’ vibes from this video. I wish you good luck Katherine
It's been such a treat to see NYC through your eyes. Wishing you good luck in your move and excited to see where you end up--your videos are always so gorgeous and soothing, every place you go. Thank you ❤

It’s the same here in Ireland, rent prices are crazy! Good luck with all the changes.
I loved the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes too ☺️

this feels so bittwersweet ah, sending her ALL the love
Finding your first job after school can be so difficult and demoralizing especially in today's climate. Hang in there, I feel you

Ngl your vlogs are soo beautiful it made me want to live in NYC, if only! 😅
i just lost my health insurance too, we're in this together bestie
You could move to Austin, Texas, lots of places to go… and it’s a beautiful City 💙
i’d really love to read your thesis if you ever think about sharing it with us!!!!!
You made me wish to live in NYC. You're awesome. Good luck ❤

Move to DC or the Northern Virgina area. It is remenisient of the accessability of NYC but cheaper! Either way wishing you luck on this new chapter.

Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving!
can I ask for the title of the song used in this video?
Its so calming.
chicago is quite similar to NYC but cheaper so it might help with the change of leaving NYC
You should look into Asheville NC.A beautiful city in the mountains 👌
i second it!!! You really should check out Asheville.

Maybe get a little camera to keep an eye on Rocky 😇. Some have like two for a reasonable price and some even rotate so you can see the whole place 😇
I Wish you the best🖤🖤🖤

I hate change too, but sometimes we have to do the right thing. Hope everything works out for you Kat!🤍
Hello how are you? My name is Kostas and I am from Greece
Are you Greek who lives in the USA?
I want to leave America so badly. No college degree tho so idk 🥹🫠
second comment yay

Did you mean Ukraine by "some random ass country"?
There’s another comment like yours and her answer was no
@@ronni3005
oh, I see
I didn't think anyone else would care so I didn't even look through the other comments properly
thanks for letting me know!
By "random ass country" you mean Ukraine?
no
I’m sure it’s the fact that we are funding a genocide but can’t even have affordable healthcare or living.
why would she mean Ukraine when she's literally part Ukrainian😭
It doesn’t matter what country its the truth
