"Hier kommt die sonne" in English means "Here comes the sun" This is all i can remember from my rudimentary German knowledge. Another Rammstein song to do would be an oldie called "ENGEL".
I also heard that this song was recorded by the band to be a theme song for a Ukrainian fighter as he walks to the ring I don't know I just heard that on a video where they were counting down the top 10 Rammstein songs
im not s sure about the interpretation concerning "indulging the light". But it is always hard to find a meaning in Artwork wich uses so much symbolism. For my part most Rammstein pieces are about violence is differnet pats of society and life and this praticular song is about Authoritarism and the attraction and cosequences of it (wich explains that they used the song as an outro to "Deutschland"). Witch snowwhite as the authority and the dwarfs as her followers who believe that only she can bring them the light (ideology) while ignoring their oppression.
More Rammstein!! Du hast live in Paris is legendary! AND perhaps one of the most important and well made musicvideo to this date: DEUTCHLAND! This is not only a very good song, but also a SICK and EPIC musicvideo! Check it out!
Yes Rammstein is sooo good! Also live really impressive. You should do Mein Teil or Puppe live and also dive in the meaning/lyrics of those. The music video’s are also really good. New song Deutschland is an insane video. I already follow you so I will hit like, please some more Rammstein! Also the frontman has his own project Lindemann, he has a new song out its also really good
Steh Auf. Amazing song from the upcoming new album. Instead of singing in English, like on Skills in Pills, he has gone back to German, which I think is pretty cool.
@@adrianiancu82 indeed, and they are freaking amazing! The self-titled album was amazing, Silent So Long was brilliant, and A Million Degrees......oh my gosh! 😍😍
To me, the video seems like a situation wherein you're stuck in a place or a relationship, and you're not exactly happy with it/the person you're with, but when you leave that place or that person, things feel even worse and you don't actually know where to go from there. It can make the prospect of going back to the old way much more appealing. When Snow White dies, the dwarves are free of her abusive and overbearing presence, but they also look like they lose purpose in life. They mined for her, and she gave them that poisonously sweet attention. But now, why do they mine?
Edit: the album Herzeleid is a great album to do reactions on. Wollt Ihr das bet in flammen sehen Weisses fleisch Asche zu Asche Heirate mich Herzeleid (yes this is a song title) Rammstein (yes this is too) All live of course

When you try to pronounce the german "ei" as an english speaking person, pronounce the second letter in english (like sign). It's the same with "ie" (like be).
But then surely Prince Charming has to show up at some time right? I love this band and have since followed them since Du Hast was played locally. Even though I can't understand the lyrics either, I still rock them out because of the industrial metal aspect.
Tipp: Use the Website "dict.cc". You'll get almost always perfect translations including "Voice Output". So type in "Sonne" (in the DE EN section) and you can listen to the right pronunciation by clicking on one of those speakers. I like this Website because those Voices are real Humans and native speaker instead of computer generated Voices like e.g. Google uses.
For those of a more 'sensitive' nature, some of their videos have VERY explicit R18 material in them - the funny thing is the person who introduced me to the band was a VERY 'christian' chap, so the contrast was quite surprising. [edit] Strange, for some reason my typed text is now black, but showing white - been using the 'dark theme'for over a year, so no idea why it's changed today - suggestions, anybody, as it is a bit hard to read against the dark grey background?
So the phenomenon with Rammstein (wich you pronounced on point the first attempt you did at the beginning,Ramm"shtein"),is that very few understands theyr full lyrics. But theyr metal is soo expressive, emotional, rough and all out cool sounding, and the vocals are just prizeless! They are known for theyr MASSIVE pyros on theyr live concerts too. Theese guys are touring all over the world theese days, pretty cool to see, from a band who performs in German. Only a few songs of theyrs contain some lines of English. Like Amerika (This is not a love song) Theese guys arent afraid to speak up either. Many also find them somewhat provocative. I just love them for being soo unique, having a sound that absolutely noone else has! If you want to be blown away sometime live by theese guys, check out my favourite song by them: Rammstein - Mein Herz brennt (Live at Download Festival UK 2016) The bass and guitars are soo heavy and amazingly funky in that one! If you wanna get speechless by them, watch the hilarious, mindblowing: Rammstein - Mein Teil [Live Hurricane Festival 2013 HD] (i was about to suggest this with Annie, but im not sure how she will handle the liveshow LOL,its pretty "graphic") Well, theyr vocalist Till Lindemann comes out as a bloody butcher, other then that it should be fine. Dont want to give too many spoilers away. And there is allways theyr number 1 pyro song: Rammstein - Benzin (Live from Madison Square Garden)
lyrics - literally translated 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 - off everyone is waiting for the light do fear, don´t fear the sun shines out of my eyes she will not set tonight and the world counts loud till 10 1 - here comes the sun 2 - here comes the sun 3 - she is the brightest star of all 4 - here comes the sun the sun shines out of my hands can burn, can blind you when she breaks out of the fists she subsides hot on the face she will not set tonight and the world counts loud till 10 1 - here comes the sun 2 - here comes the sun 3 - she is the brightest star of all 4 - here comes the sun 5 - here comes the sun 6 - here comes the sun 7 - she is the brightest star of all 8 - 9 - here comes the sun (additional verse of the album version which is left out in the video = the first 4 lines of the second verse again but instead of - the face - now - your face) she subsides painful on the chest the balance becomes the deprivation let herself go down on the ground hard and the world counts loud till 10 1- etc etc 3 - she is the brightest star off all 4 - and will never fall off the sky 5 - etc etc 8 - 9 here comes the sun - off (in the video the sun is here a tripple methaphor - for the girl - for gold which then becomes a methaphor for drugs)
I usually don't like songs sung in other languages much, but this sounds funky. Although I do like the couple/few songs Gloria Estefan has done in Spanish, but she also did the same songs in English. I makes sense that the one line in the chorus may mean "Here comes the sun" - I just searched the German word and 'sun' was the result.
I'm not a huge fan of Rammstein but I quite enjoy their music anyway. Their music style is called 'Neue Deutsche Härte' (which translates to 'New German Hardness') and it's popular in Germany, eastern countries like Poland, Russia etc and apparently in America too. I would recommend to listen to more older stuff of 'em like 'Du riechst so gut' (You smell so well), 'Engel' (Angel), 'Ich will' (I want), 'Spieluhr' (Music box; one of my favourites) and something like 'Feuer frei' (Fire freely) or 'Du hast' (You have).. also you could listen to 'Ohne dich' (Without you) which is quite different from their others songs way more melodic and melodramatic. Enjoy you stay in german language :D SCHMETTERLING (Butterfly)
All the following is *Roughly* speaking: In German, an 'e' is pronounced like the English 'i', and 'i' like the English 'e'. Also, 'st' is pronounced 'sht', so, Rammstein would be Ramm-shteyen. Whenever I see an 'ei' or 'ie' combination, I just ignore the first letter pronounce the second letter as it in in English. An 's' in German is pronounced like an English 'z', and the 'e' at the end of a work is pronounced like an English 'a' (as in a shortened *ah* , but not *eh* ). So, Sonne would be pronounced Zonnah. Hope that helps...
The [e] is actually spoken in German like the [e] in the English word [e]nergy. [i] is spoken like the [i] in the word [i]nternet. However, the combination [ei] is pronounced like the English letter [i] as, for example, in the word l[i]fe. The combination [ie], on the other hand, only results in a longer [i] like the [i] in [i]nternet. In this case it is more like [iii]nternet. btw. The word STEIN means stone and is always spoken like in the name of Albert EinSTEIN. RammSTEIN. I hope the confusion is complete now.😅
on its face the song is about getting knocked down in a fight. the metaphors however are plentiful -- getting knocked down by life and getting back up etc.. they keep counting to nine and he gets back up before they reach ten. the video is a metaphor about america/greed/wealth. they have several videos on that subject. snow white is america/greed/wealth. the band is everyone else/the poor etc
Wow Rammstein is definitely one of my industrial rock groups and they are German, lucky for me I speak fluent German , I do like Sonne, Du Hast you gotta be careful when you say Du Hast it means You Have and Du Haast means you hate you don't wanna get those mixed up , a also like Ich tu die ver and Feuer Frei... Good band ! Feuer Frei means Fire at will and he's singing about the different ways the Germans killed and the horrible smell of burning flesh.... First time I herd the song was in the movie XXX with Vin Diesel....
Love this band even not knowing the lyrics the music is just amazing Also please listen to highly suspect lydia I think you will dig the video they are a very underrated band
I don't know if someone explained it in comments already, but the pronunciation of "Rammstein" is "Rahm-sh-ti-ne" ("-ti-" like "tiny") or - if you want to hear it directly from the band, check out their song "Ramm4", where they sing it :) And I must admit, that this song is INCREDIBLE live on their gig. Officially the word Rammstein is a variation of the city name Ramstein , but , as usual with this band, it could have a different meaning : To ram ("Ramm") a stone ("Stein") into the earth , a powerful action (and once again You notice how similar English and German vocabulary is)
Yeah, you really need to check out the translations of their lyrics to English. And don't worry about it not seeming to translate well, German and English are phonetically similar almost identical. A lot of their lyrics are just as confusing in German.
Sonne, has been one of my Favorit Rammstein songs, since the first time I listened to them, when I was 17/18, which is about 17/18 years ago, lol. Sonne is more about fighting, getting ready and getting pumped, then getting trashed and thrashing another, but the video makes perfect sense too, mining "gold" wink wink, and taking some shots of "gold" into your veins, and getting hit by the Sun, burning through the body, surging, blank'd out, OD. But really the lyrics speak of a match, and fists connecting(face). Burning fists, fire off, into the face, kinetic, and like sparks flying around on impact. so does the one being hit, "see the light of the Sun and stars". Think of Mike Tyson, ready to rumble, with fire in his eyes, burning like the Sun. Thus, in slow motion throwing each fist of pure power into the opponent's face, sparks flying, the dude has no chance, all he sees and feels are the fists of the Sun. While the count down is chanted (Knock out).
Just in case someone may be confused by the "She ODed on gold."

Ben Captain Nut Nut yes thats the one!
Richard Kruspe also has his own band: Emigrate, where he sings in English.
@@adrianiancu82 indeed, and they are freaking amazing! The self-titled album was amazing, Silent So Long was brilliant, and A Million Degrees......oh my gosh! 😍😍
Rammstein is my favorite band please do more videos :D
To me, the video seems like a situation wherein you're stuck in a place or a relationship, and you're not exactly happy with it/the person you're with, but when you leave that place or that person, things feel even worse and you don't actually know where to go from there. It can make the prospect of going back to the old way much more appealing. When Snow White dies, the dwarves are free of her abusive and overbearing presence, but they also look like they lose purpose in life. They mined for her, and she gave them that poisonously sweet attention. But now, why do they mine?
You really should react to a live version. MEIN TEIL - Rammstein.
Pls react to this song
Edit: the album Herzeleid is a great album to do reactions on.
Wollt Ihr das bet in flammen sehen
Weisses fleisch
Asche zu Asche
Heirate mich
Herzeleid (yes this is a song title)
Rammstein (yes this is too)
All live of course
Oh man you are missing out a lot of you do not continue with this band. Try "Ich Tu Dir Weh", "Keine Lust", "Deutschland", "Radio", and so on and on. You will love them and definetely check out the live shows - there is no other band in the world that does that.
Rammstein is a band, with a lot of extreme live performances, so check out some videos of live shows from them.
Greetings from Germany!! Schönes Video. Rammstein über alles!!
When you try to pronounce the german "ei" as an english speaking person, pronounce the second letter in english (like sign). It's the same with "ie" (like be).
And this is the first song i heard and I've been a big fan of them ever since 🤘🤘🤘ps check them out live fantastic live band stage show second to none.
In the Song Rammstein from Rammstein, They sing the name. I like the Videos from rammstein, They have great new "never seen ideas" for this age
But then surely Prince Charming has to show up at some time right? I love this band and have since followed them since Du Hast was played locally. Even though I can't understand the lyrics either, I still rock them out because of the industrial metal aspect.
Tipp:
Use the Website "dict.cc".
One of my personal favorite songs of Rammstein is "Keine Lust" Maybe check it out^^
Great song. Hilarious video.
All their videos are awesome but particular favourites are 'Rosenrot', Mein Teil', 'Ohne Dich' and, of course, 'Pussy'.
@@RolandDeschain1 my favourites are Sonne, Ich Will, Du Hast, Mein Teil and Deutschland.
Best video for sure-

'I really dug that' in response to dwarfs mining ... l believe that reaction and thanks from UK
Rammstein-Amerika. It's part German part English lyrics.
If you want to know how to pronounce Rammstein, I recommend you listen the song "Rammstein" by Rammstein.
The iceland-map in the background😍😍😍
Hi great group and a great song thank you for playing it 😀😀👍👍
Rammstein "Du hast" live Paris
lyrics - literally translated
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 - off
everyone is waiting for the light
do fear, don´t fear
the sun shines out of my eyes
she will not set tonight
and the world counts loud till 10
1 - here comes the sun
2 - here comes the sun
3 - she is the brightest star of all
4 - here comes the sun
the sun shines out of my hands
can burn, can blind you
when she breaks out of the fists
she subsides hot on the face
she will not set tonight
and the world counts loud till 10
1 - here comes the sun
2 - here comes the sun
3 - she is the brightest star of all
4 - here comes the sun
5 - here comes the sun
6 - here comes the sun
7 - she is the brightest star of all
8 - 9 - here comes the sun
(additional verse of the album version which is left out in the video = the first 4 lines of the second verse again but instead of - the face - now - your face)
she subsides painful on the chest
the balance becomes the deprivation
let herself go down on the ground hard
and the world counts loud till 10
1- etc etc
3 - she is the brightest star off all
4 - and will never fall off the sky
5 - etc etc
8 - 9 here comes the sun - off
(in the video the sun is here a tripple methaphor - for the girl - for gold which then becomes a methaphor for drugs)
Wieviele Übersetzungen von "Sonne" geistern her nur herum ? 😉
All the following is *Roughly* speaking:
In German, an 'e' is pronounced like the English 'i', and 'i' like the English 'e'.
G H good explanation, shorter version would be to just listen to the song Rammstein where they literally say the name 20 times
Now is the right time to make a new reaction video to their Stadium Tour 2022. I bet you will drop your jaw to the floor ;)
1 here comes the sun, 2 here comes the sun, 3 she is the brightest star of all. 4 she will never fall from heaven.
Well, listen to Rammlied from the album Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da and you'll here how to pronounce it.
Or Rammstein, or Wollt ihr das Bett in Flamen Sehen from Herzeleid. 👍
First time I herd the song was in the movie XXX with Vin Diesel....
next suggestion from my side...."Ich tu dir weh" live from Madions Square Garden
Got no idea what they're signing, but man they're entertaining!
My favorite Rammstein song.
Yap mine too
Love this band even not knowing the lyrics the music is just amazing
Also please listen to highly suspect lydia I think you will dig the video they are a very underrated band
And vocalist has got also his solo project "Lindemann", where he sings mostly in English ;)
As a German i can tell you it is Rammstein as in stein (the beer mug ;) ) not Rammsteen like in steel.
Got it, thanks!
The name Rammstein is based on the City Ramstein in Germany. By the way there is an US Airforce Base. In 1988 there was a accident at a flight show. 70 People died and 1000 got injured. The Band start in 1994 whith the name "Rammstein flightshow" to get noticed and to polarize. Thats the Backround of the name. And sorry for my worse english ;-)
You have to watch the „Böhse Onkelz „ live reunionshow at hockenheimring in 2014 or 15!! Thats another really big german Rockband with the best Audience in the freaking world!!
This is such a great song!!!!!
i grew up with this song 😎 and the other rammstein songs 😇 rock on guys 💀
One of the best lyrics is from the song 'Links 2 3 4'. I just do not know if it translates well in the American, so it makes sense :) greetings from Germany
Ich liebe reaction vids... aber warum checkt ihr nie vorher den text?

@@valeriykotok4383 actually for both...
Watch the live one in Dresden from Rammstein. Just Type in: Rammstein Sonne Live Dresden. Its incredible
It’s rammstein last pronounced like stine, they were named after an American airbase in Germany called rammstein where a plane crashed
Thanks for the details on that
@@GlitchintheMatrixMultiMedia after they found the name Rammstein, they found out that the real name is Ramstein!!
P.S: The base is the one where the Flugtag misforture was
@@rainerwahnsinn9585 Thanks so much for the details!
If you like rammstein then check out the live shows. And before you sweating : they are full of fire and flames. Be sure you don't become a toast 😂 rammstein is one of my favorite bands. And the songs have most of the time more than one or two meanings. You can hear one song 100 times and still you hear a new song. I'm glad that I'm a German so I understand at least the song text 😂😂😂
This song is what made em famous amongst the GP
You really should react to rammsteins live performances. They are awesome
Thank you so much for this reaction
must see it live, madison square garden for example, they are realy one of the greatest Live Bands on earth
Want more German metal? Check out
Blind Guardian - The Bard's Song & Valhalla - Live at Wacken Open Air 2016
Trust me, awesome crowd and songs!
Greetings from Germany
Definitely a must :)
Try their song Spring. And Rosenrot. There’s a good reason the Grimm tales are from the Germanic people.
The Sonne performance for their current europe tour was insane as well!
The whole concert was a blast!

Rammstein - Mein Herz brennt (Live at Download Festival UK 2016)
Officially the word Rammstein is a variation of the city name Ramstein , but , as usual with this band, it could have a different meaning : To ram ("Ramm") a stone ("Stein") into the earth , a powerful action (and once again You notice how similar English and German vocabulary is)
The first Rammstein you pronounced was pretty much perfect
Fuer Frei...... awesome song....nuff said..... listen to it and react!
BANG BANG
Rammstein Rein Raus Volkerball. it's not on youtube, but you can find it on dailymotion
Yeah, you really need to check out the translations of their lyrics to English. And don't worry about it not seeming to translate well, German and English are phonetically similar almost identical. A lot of their lyrics are just as confusing in German.
I had not seen or heard this before. But I liked it alot!
Till Lindemann does solo work too....try Platz Eins by Till Lindemann
Interesting review. Thumbs up! :)
Suggestion:
The Band "Oomph!" and their new song "Im Names des Vaters".
Greetings
Mega
Lucky me i speak fluently English and German
because if you do not understand what they say it is only half of the FUN
Mine Hertz Brennt is their best song !
MEIN Herz brennt, not Mine: guarda che non è mica inglese!
Mein Herz brennt*
They have tons of greate songs Try "Heirate mich " or "Hallelujah"
My favorite is "Adios" - amazing song
