The airsoft community is one of the greatest things I’ve ever experienced. Have never met a single person who was rude. I got a few stories from my local field. One time a dude had his gas 1911 fall out of his holster and about half of the field volunteered to help him find it during the middle of a game. Second story requires a bit of context. I sometimes run a riot visor. It’s only like 35% of the time though. Between rounds, me and a complete stranger decided it would be hilarious to play Down Under by having him shoot my visor. Third story is when I was sniping in a pretty heavily wooded area. I hear a dude creep up on me and we both startle each other and begin frantically trying to unclip our sidearms. After about 30 seconds of us completely forgetting how to use our fingers, a second dude who was with him gets me. We couldn’t stop laughing about it after the round.
I jumped out on a guy and fired but I was out of ammo, he realised and paused as I stood up straight and sort of shrugged like "ffs" he laughed and shot me and I laughed. Fast forward to the next round and I snuck up on him and shot him, he turned and recognised me and we laughed again. Good times.

Its easy to say that my training made me kinda op compared to those teens but im sure they too had a lot of fun!
@@BusinessWolf1 There's a certain _je ne sais quoi_ about contractually-inescapable military combat training that makes it distinguishable from optional civilian mil-sim equivalents. Maybe if the entire training org is a bunch of retired gunnys or something. But even as a non-combat troop from another branch, I can just tell. Big bro hits different.
@@BusinessWolf1What I personally notice are not things like his grip, any novice can use a similar grip. But it’s how he efficiently moves the gun around, keeps it from flagging teammates, and a bunch of just micro movements that look precisely drilled for countless hours. It’s something I am unsure someone who has never seen combat or at least been trained by professionals for combat can do. Airsoft doesn’t encourage quite the same things and nowhere near as heavily. Getting out in airsoft isn’t fun, but it’s _slightly_ more inconvenient in real combat. If you like competitive games like CS, it’s comparable to being able to tell the level of a player by just watching them navigate a situation. Lower skill players act and react differently and with less conciseness, confidence, and comfort than better players.
It's funny how you can tell who has training cus of how slow the trained dudes clear the buildings, as opposed to the dudes who just bum rush cus they see it in movies
I used to airsoft back in the late 90s early 2000's before it became main stream, it was all about honesty, and playing and having fun...hadn't played since....24 years later I went to an airsoft park for the first time, and I saw all the cringe, lying, no one calling hits, over powered guns who were friends with the refs, I had a bb had to be taken out with a scalpel. I tried calling people out, and the ref would say "naw they good" without checking.
Same here buddy. Those were the glory days. When it became mainstream, it brought out all the tacticool wanna-be couch operators with giant egos to the hobby.
As a former Army soldier. Watching that guy stick his SAW out the window and it only make the little clicking sound as it fired the pellets was comedy gold. You can really see his reflexs and target acquisition is far beyond the peasants he is playing against.
Absolutely. I have grown up with military roots. Dad was Army, Grandpa Airforce, and Uncle Marines. one of my best friends was air assault qualified and had multiple other combat qualifications. Watched countless videos and documetaries on tactics and movement. The few times I played airsoft, for being a civilian, even I was like...wtf are these people doing. I have an inate ability for combat that a lot of people seem to lack. If I wasn't such a hippy I would have made a good soldier lol. I think a lot of people don't take it "seriously" as in its a game and no one dies. If you really want to get something useful out of it beyond fun, you have to suspend your disbelief and take it seriously. Don't put yourself in situations that you would never put yourself in if real bullets were flying. People just do stupid shit playing airsoft as a game that would have their head splattered in 2 seconds in real life.
Peacetime training really is what it is. Most combat videos concerning MG/sniper positions from militaries engaged in civil wars/peer to peer enemies utilize a fire from inside the room approach because it lets you fire upon the enemy whilst utilizing maximum cover and concealment. Window peeking like that is the same as skylining yourself.
Clean gameplay. I noticed the one with the eotech does not change his shoulder a ton and stick to his dominant hand, but the "violence" of his actions almost negate that, while still changing side to hug corner when static. Impressed by that, guys.
you know why “quickscoping” is a thing right? when you ADS in cod it engages the aim assist, quick scoping isnt a skill based action. in games like cs, scoping in and shooting someone within 200ms is just a regular awp kill, we dont even have a fancy word for it.
@@BlastinRope "quick scoping isn't a skill based action" Objectively wrong... I prefer CS over CoD but I still acknowledge there is a very high skillcap with quick scoping. Also I may be wrong but I remember quick scoping becoming a thing specifically because of MW2, the intervention, and the perk that let you ADS quicker. Before that short-range sniping was limited to no scoping

The accuracy on the target and being able to shoot through any object that’s soft enough to allow the bullet to travel through and still hit the target makes a big difference you can shred a wall/target and get the target on the other side or you gotta put your bullet in the right place to get your target accuracy is important and direct sight on the target is important. I hope we can agree on this. See the target hit the target or just annihilate the backstop, but the targets behind.
Awesome stuff, man! I always enjoy your content. I bet your buddy had a blast, but was disappointed at how short of range our BB gats have. It's still fun, though.
haha yeah, thanks man, that definitly perfectly sums it up and is pretty much the biggest short coming with airsoft when comparing it to other training platforms for work, either way it was a great time with friends and thats what matters to me!
@AirsoftAlfonse yea...that training ammo for real guns is pretty cool. You have to switch out a few parts on your gun to make sure real rounds can't be chambered. I think a cross between that and airsoft would be cool. Get a few airsoft companies to make real feeling guns made to only fire the paint ammunition so an accident would be impossible. The realism would be much, much higher and would be great for people who want a more realistic experience. 30 round mags, 15 rounds or less for pistols..etc. you get the picture. None of this 300 rounds without reloading stuff lol. Have to make your shots actually count with the paint bullets.
Only in airsoft I can meet friends from different background (college student, bussinessmen, lawyer, clergymen, teachers, to army and policemen) and religions to have pure fun together. The moment I remember is to drink hot coffee together and eat local snacks in one of the community member meanwhile talking about the next game until late. A brotherhood indeed.

The best lesson I usually teach people in airsoft if they're just in a bad mood is "if you get hit, don't talk shit" in a respectful way. It's just "hit" and sit down for a moment. I know people who are in the zone and will get pissed when shot in a raw area, but if you get hurt, understand that it's going to hurt if you don't have protection.
3:22 it's always interesting to watch how someone solves a building when alone. Having the advantage of watching on RUclips its easy to see mistakes he made but there really is no right way to clear a structure alone. I feel like because of the nature of this video I'll mention I'm speaking from experience from my two deployments to Afghanistan dojng raids not pkaying toy guns. Id just like to avoid that out the gate. I want to add as im watching more the difference in skill or rather experience is humbling. Theres a kot of moments where I would have taken cover and possibly looked for a better vantage point but he knew his opponent was not accurate enough to warrant such action. It's like the white belt watching the black belt preform magic. 9:12 you don't get to see it often but everyone always loves the sexy shots with a carbine when clearing rooms but the real magic happens when an operator is using a saw or hog. Never met one who wasnt surgical with a belt fed machine gun. I'm not sure if the guy using the saw was also an operator at some point but he had good five to seven round bursts, good effect on stationary targets, and a fantastic lead on the moving one shooting across that tennis court.
Honestly, hard to even tell that he has proper training besides a few giveaways: He's ambidextrous, the way he always keeps track of the muzzle, he seems to be pretty fit to run and then still be able to move quietly and without heavy breathing (I've seen too many airsofters pant after short run even if they play frequently) and look at how he manipulates his guns, specifically the sling so it doesn't get in the way
Where do you usually find out about these types of events? I know there’s MIR tactical but I don’t know if they do events in socal. Are there other places I can look?
most of the time on facebook or instagram, the event hosts just post about it or there event schedule on their and then i just pick one that looks cool and buy a ticket "Desert fox events" does events in cali and some times "lion claw milsim"

The main problem of airsoft as opposed to sports is that there is no natural selection that will make sure everybody is getting a quality game with quality opponents.
What’s cringe is a trained combatant complaining that untrained civilians having fun are cringe instead of teaching them proper tactics and spreading your wisdom so they can in turn be better themselves and you also seem like the type that thinks they’re so much better that they don’t call their hits because it would be embarrassing finally dying to a camping 13 year old; because it seemed like you got hit a lot but never once called it

That being said something like this is bound to attract people who want to feel like they have been in combat and they don't have the temperament to actually handle the emotions that come with the adrenaline. You see it in sports with bad sportsmanship outbursts all the time. Except here you have the added element of people who fantasize about combat but in real life would most likely shit a brick.
Nothing is worse than a soldier who gets nostalgia instead of PTSD
We couldn’t stop laughing about it after the round.
the 3rd one is funny as hell lol
Fighting rarely happens
I jumped out on a guy and fired but I was out of ammo, he realised and paused as I stood up straight and sort of shrugged like "ffs" he laughed and shot me and I laughed. Fast forward to the next round and I snuck up on him and shot him, he turned and recognised me and we laughed again. Good times.
Depends where you are from

Last week i had my first airsoft match. I had fun even though my teammates were much younger 12-18 year olds.
@@Isometrix116 I agree with you on that. Some people just like to forget that cover exists.

Thank you Alfonso for these videos, you have inspired me to get back into shape and do some Airsoft again.
When it became mainstream, it brought out all the tacticool wanna-be couch operators with giant egos to the hobby.
its almost eerie seeing an abanded neighborhood like that actually give me fallout 4 vibes in Sanctuary
The gameplay we need but not the one we deserve. Great video
Why tf would you expect airsoft players to have similar skill with no training.

8:27 that was a gorgeous quickscope. Straight out of cod
you know why “quickscoping” is a thing right? when you ADS in cod it engages the aim assist, quick scoping isnt a skill based action.
in games like cs, scoping in and shooting someone within 200ms is just a regular awp kill, we dont even have a fancy word for it.

@@AirsoftAlfonse
I played a few days ago with some friends and we had a great time!

You guys were a menace out there. Good work
