- In this video I show off more of my insect collection. I take a look at each specimen and share some stories about the specimens. In this video I mostly show off true bugs (Hemiptera) and more beetles.

them whirligig beetles gather in groups and swim in circles. when they see you they dive under water.
I could tell how much u like your collection by your genuine smile each time you're showing off your specimen!! good stuff :)
I recognize the whirley gigs . I learn a lot from your stuff thank you
Great video. So much info.
Glad you enjoyed it despite its duration.
@@InsectHunter It's never an issue if it is good content, right? :)
I noticed you caught the box elder bug in Idaho, which, as a native Idahoan, I can say that they’re everywhere and they’re really annoying even though they’re completely harmless. There’s this park we go to every year for family gatherings that is literally filled to the brim with those things, like, everywhere you look, there’s a box elder bug. Great video, by the way! My grandfather had a similar bug collection, so this video is really interesting to me
Edit: I didn’t know toe biters were native to Idaho, what?!
I was waiting only this video to make me happy, thank youuuu :)
Nice collection .
It's been a while since I have seen you pop in.
i've been very busy of late , plus i have now taken early retirement. so i'm taking things easy which means i'll be able to catch up on your videos . thank you for replying back .
Not even a collector yet here I am!
Glad you took the time to comment and learn more about insects!
RIP 😥
Creepy crawly cool.
U r so cool
good insects ya got there
i found a long horn beetle at yellow stone, big orange one.
If you want to find Toadbugs, go to the Black River in the Missouri Ozarks. Billions of insects live in and along the river.
New video! Cool !
All insects go to heaven
I found a red/black spotted boxelder bug. I don’t know if it’s a Boxelder bug or a kissing bug
Send me a picture at my email: theinsecthunter@gmail.com
Do you have Evaniidae in your collection
Nope not yet.
I’m fine with most insects I think they’re neat but I hate stinkbugs so much they give me panic attacks
Found a marble orb weaver it was really cool so orange
Really wow. Yeah there are insects much more scary than stink bugs out there, but I won't go there haha :)
Insect Hunter right? I think I just don’t like how they swarm and get everywhere
@@InsectHunter why not? Show them ahaha
You ever seen a bed bug?
Yes I help people identify them quite frequently. Not something you want to run into.
Insect Hunter
Yessir. They are horrible! I’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again.Id rather have cockroaches then ever have to deal with bed bugs ever again.
I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with both kinds, and bed bugs are by far harder to get rid of if you ask me.
Insect Hunter
Thanks for the reply
i found my giant water bug at a Walmart parking lot
Mine was found in my grandma's shoe.
You have an insect collection?! I couldn’t live with that, I hate bugs, except ants, I love ants they’re my favorite animal
Interesting, I’m the opposite. I love almost all insects but ants can freak me out a bit, mostly only if they’re in large numbers.
How do you kill them without wrecking it.
Randomized I don’t know but I would think freezing them?
Randomized Or chemicals, but I don’t know!!
There is a whole episode on preserving insects here: ruclips.net/video/BC-H8wTQjwE/видео.html
i saw burying beetles on a dead raccoon
Ew
They are awesome!
Insect Hunter I know the insects are awesome but the dead raccoon is gross
@@lightningstudios113 if ya want too see the dead raccoon i have it on my youtube but its coated with maggots. but i dont think u can see them in that video.
ClogNog ok I guess i will
Why do you have a nasty ass roach in there!!!
Come on, who else thought the insects would be alive when they clicked on the video?
Not gonna watch it because seeing impaled creatures makes me feel sick to my stomach... Just came here to say I really hope you don't impale them while they're still alive, hope you have the small amount of respect for living things to atleast suffocate them or gas them before adding them to your Vlad the Impaler reenactment...
They are dead when they are pinned. Entomologists generally kill their insects with chemicals, (such as ethyl acetate) which is the most humane way, and it is for scientific research, not pleasure. Some of us even rear some of our specimens in a lab until they die of natural causes, which would then be pinned.
@@jamesblakely79 okay, thanks :) that's really nice to know
Thanks for the question yes James summed it up well.
I was just thinking about how cool it'd be to start a full collection of the insects you can collect in Animal Crossing, so the first thing I wanted to look at was your channel :)
