Honda seems to have soft clear but it really shines. Driven Honda’s since 1983 and back in the day I used Zymol Japon for the soft clear. Now just use Mother’s California Gold on my Accord. Looks great Devin!
Dev when you clay the car you just have to have use lubrication it can be distilled water ! No matter what you use you will 2, or more, stage the paint after so just water works fine! Rotary tools traditional are used by pros to save time! The best option for amateurs will be dual action!
@@LouieP1110 I didn't even mention foam or dish soap! I said for simplicity and ease of use distil water does the job easier ! Foam is used mostly to remove and loose dirt and previous wax jobs(if product says so) ! Also the effectiveness of clay material can be decreased with thick lubrication ! So rinse with presuraised water, foam ,rinse, check for contamination of the clear coat ,foam again wash with microfiber, inspect clay if necessary proceeded to 2/3 step polish ceramic coat or wax.. job done !250$ please :P !xexe !
You came out with a great result! I did know if you cleaning your pads you always have to do it because if not your pads are less effectiv. And have 4-5 pads of each to Do the whole car 1x pads each panel like this your pads are 100% effectiv for each panel.
Meguiar’s DA Microfiber Cutting Disc and Menzerna 400 compound is the best combo I have ever used and you get the finish you want quickly. I use to use hex-logic pads with 3m compound before and it works but it takes forever to get the paint to look the way you want
Get a plastic weald kit see if it can repair the pcv cover. It's like a soldering iron with zigzag metal attachments that you hold against the join and it melts into the plastic and locks the 2 sides together. Even it it doesn't work for that it's handy to have for cracked bumpers an trim.
Im not sure how you do the windows, but in my experience 000 graded steel wool does WONDERS. Everything(even water spots) will polish off the window in a few wipes.
Devin, how would you get the window trim that you’ve taken out. How would you get that clean? I have sea salt stuck in mine from the waves from a trip to the beach
The M3 but having a semi track built s2k boosted, idk it's close 😂 Love detailing too Devin. Just did a maintenence wash on my Z. Should of recorded it, next time! You going to change the color of the wheels soon or nah? Keep moving forward.
Off topic question, but thought I'd ask the expert on subaru suspension. I have a 01 h4 wagon and want a bit stiffer suspension especially in the rear. Just wondering if h6 struts and springs will fit onto an h4?
Best of luck keeping that car looking good. The black paint on the S2000 is so soft and finicky that just looking at it wrong will scratch. So it will be a challenge, even more so than a Subaru.
the M3 is so nice and sounds great but i dont think the supercharger will make much nose on camera for me to hear it so i think the s2000 is gonna be better and faster cause hondas are reliable af and you can run lots of boost and i think the s2000 will sound the best on camera so i like the s2000 more
Uhg I would give my left nut to be able to detail indoors. Under this Texas heat, the soap and waxes dry too fast and make it incredibly hard to get a spotless wash done. A tent barely helps. 3M products are great and I'd recommend them and Sonax stuff to anyone. Griotts BOSS line is good. I really want to try NV Car Care's compounds and polishes. Their ceramic coating is the absolute best consumer grade ceramic coat you can get, rivaling that of Miyabi Zipang.
It's as aggressive or gentle as you want it to be. Paint hardness and thickness also matters. Also corners and edges are more susceptible depending on the paint. I lost focus while doing the girlfriends ND MX5 and took the paint off the tip of her shark fin antenna. Those cars also have abnormally thin paint. It's mostly a test of patience and going through the steps to try and find the results that you're looking for.
Detailing and Honda’s. My day is made. Thanx Devin!

What’s wrong with using wash soap through a foam lance? No bashing you just curious
@@LouieP1110 can have “too much” lubrication and the clay can’t actually pick up the paint contamination

Blow that pad out bro,. Looking mint 👌🏻 my votes for the S2K
Devin. Make sure you blow out your pads with compasses air after a few passes. That with help keep the pad clean and give you great Results.
+1 for speed clay. Ive used Adams clay mit, and a few other traditional clays and the speed clay works absolute wonders.

Devin u really should put a solid top on, it would look super clean
