Can't wait for your reaction to Suspicious Minds. When Elvis covered it. he sped it up & transformed it into an up-beat rock song that was his last #1 hit. When Angelina covered it, she slowed it down, re-arranged the structure of the song & made it into an emotional ballad that is a Masterpiece, Imo. Angelina has such a magnificent voice and she carries me away whenever she sings. You should go in whatever direction your fancy takes you :-) it will all be great and surprising!
Good for you to delete the nasty stuff! There are always those who think they need to do that. Perhaps not even mention it as it takes away from the good cheer :-)
Sadly the issue of negative comments arises too often. This is not specific to this reaction but in general.
In the past I have been guilty of such comments. My desire to spread Angelina's music was so passionate, I wanted the entire world to listen to her. I have learned that each person needs to take their own journey when discovering a new artist, so all we 'superfans' have to do, is introduce people to the artist.
Each of us are welcome to our opinions BUT always be sure that they are expressed as opinions and not facts.
We Angelina angels want to learn more about Angelina and her journey, yet very few facts are available. If you present something as fact, then you should have the reference to prove the statement is factual. Otherwise, you can say, I read in other comments about this. That makes the reader know that it may be factual or not.
The simplest guide to determining if a comment is proper to post, is to ask yourself, what would Angelina think of this comment? If you believe Angelina would not like the comment, then don't post it.
I am not perfect, no one is. When others criticize me, I try to not get upset. I only want to get the story right.

I've been guilty of that in the past as well so I have often thought, what would Angelina think about this comment. Lar, many thanks for continuing your Angelina Jordan journey. At her final concert in Norway 2022, she dedicated this song to her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani, who wasn't able to travel to Norway due to health issues. With that dedication, this song, from Angelina, becomes much more emotional for me. Everything Angelina does is sincere and highly artistic. There is no one to compare Angelina to and her journey has been unlike any other. We all want the world to hear Angelina sing, but it is just not the right time yet for her full promotion. While most teen singers jump at promotion to make the money, Angelina is all about the music, while remaining humble. She will turn 18 on January 10th, 2024 and continues to create magic in the studio Republic Records built for her.

Absolutely phenomenal performance from our barefoot Viking , Angelina actually sang this song before when she was just 12-13 years old and absolutely nailed it then that’s how incredible Angelina is , She is a once in a generation superstar, I’ve attended Angelina’s live concerts twice in her home country Norway 🇳🇴 once when Angelina was 12 years old and again in 2022 when she was 16 years old, also this year a concert in Portsmouth 🇺🇸 USA, Angelina was 17, Angelina’s stage presence is outstanding her live vocals phenomenal, great reaction thanks 🙏
Angelina is a beast. She is absolutely fearless when she chooses to cover any of the past and current greats. No other young female artist I’ve ever heard has Angelina’s versatility.

Angelina was 16 when both this song and "Suspicious Minds" were released in the spring of 2022. Earlier in that year, Valentine's Day, she released "My Funny Valentine." It too was shot in the same antique store as "I Have Nothing" and "Suspicious Minds." I like to call these 3 songs her Chandelier Session, and all 3 are remarkably beautiful and stunning.
Having watched Angelina grow from 7 to 17 (almost 18 now), we angels are all so proud of her, like proud parents or grandparents, so pardon us if we gush a little. There are many, many great singers out there, but very few touch our hearts and souls like Angelina Jordan does.

AJ is almost double in age from your I put a spell on you. If you're an Elvis fan then your in luck. Her and Elvis has a special relationship, heck almost family. Lol
Nice reaction, really very good. 👍 It's a pretty big step from "I put a spell on you" to "I have Nothing", especially when you know what lies in between (for fans it feels like a century).
As for the whole "Voice" and "got talents", I think the mistake is to try to sing it in Whitney's key, who was a powerful soprano, and the voices of the - otherwise certainly very talented - talents can't (still) do that. Angelina sings it here in her contralto range, so much deeper and that has its effect on the listener.
If you're a diehard Elvis fan, Angelina's "Suspicious Minds" might be a challenge. 😉 Aside from that, she did some Elvis covers when she was younger - my favorite Elvis cover is "Welcome to my world", there's even a nice mashup of that ruclips.net/video/IZUazuMqe74/видео.html . But "Can't Help Falling In Love With You (Acoustic)" at age 11 is also very beautiful (especially when you listen to it back to back with her very recent "performance" at Le Bal in Paris).
As far as Christmas music is concerned, there is a lot, Angelina has performed a lot at Christmas - including on TV - and in some years she even did a whole Christmas concert tour - so there is a lot of material. Angelina's first EP was called "My Christmas" and was released on December 12, 2014 (i.e. she was 8yo then)! The fans will be raving about the 2021 online Christmas concert, and rightly so if you like jazzy Christmas songs (but be careful when reacting, it's not easy in terms of copyright because it's Republic Record stuff).
LOL Angelina has won over many Heavy Metal and Rap Reactors and they were just as totally taken aback by her voice and talent. I too was not sure when I heard she was going to do a cover of this song, but after hearing her, I felt like kicking myself because she did a fantastic job! Those who have been following her for a while just can't believe how she has gotten better and better as she gets older. I'd never imagined that one of my favorite singers in the world is a 17 year old music prodigy that I listen to almost every day. Please continue your journey down the rabbit hole, you won't regret it!
It's just my opinion, but I think the Tribute To Whitney Houston she did at 13 was equally impressive, and I think both versions should be watched by all reactors.

Christmas songs and others + some Q'/A to Angelina among big musicians (real treat to see). Love from a Norwegian subscriber who voted for her win in NGT 2014 and saw her live in summer 2022 (best concert ever).

This was the second recording of the day at the antique furniture store in LA summer of 2022. Angelina is 16 here. The first song done that day was "Suspicious Minds" from Elivis. You are listening to the greatest female vocalist to ever live. There has never been another with the combination of talents that are/is Angelina Jordan. Our barefoot Princess of a thousand voices, the Queen of Jazz. She is a gift to us all. Rob Christie, a grammy winner himself, the Head of Studio Productions for Republic accompanies Angelina on the piano during Suspicious minds. He has accompanied her on many of the piano pieces the past couple of years and it is no accident that she is signed to Republic because of his friendship with Angelina and her family. Her Uncle Michael Astar, is her agent and manager. You are right about Angelina and her Christmas connections. She has a Christmas album done several years ago and she did a pay to view concert in December 2021. Her version of "You Say" by Laura Daigle, a song to God, done at the end of that concert, is spellbinding. It alone is available on RUclips from that amazing concert.

When Angelina was 6 years old and travelling in the Middle East with her family she encountered a girl about her age who was weighing people on a pair of bathroom scales to make money. This little street seller had no shoes and her feet were scarred which Angelina noticed. The child admired the ankle boots Angelina was wearing and Angelina asked her if she would like to have them, took them off and gave them to her. The little girl said she would pray for Angelina who asked the girl what was her dream. She said she would like to be a doctor but wouldn’t be able to because she had to work to help her siblings, Angelina told her to never give up hope. It was then that she decided to always perform barefoot to remind her of all the poor people in the World, especially the children). She recorded this experience in her journal (yes, she kept a journal at 6 years old) and was later encouraged to write a book about it which she did at 9 and became the youngest published author in Norway. In case you are wondering how Norwegian 6 year old Angelina could converse with someone in the Middle East, her Grandmother, Mery Zamani is Iranian and Angelina can speak Farsi. She can also speak other languages including Japanese, Swedish, and obviously English as well as her first language Norwegian!

Why does Angelina sing barefoot? The answer may bring a tear to your eye. It is related to a promise she made to herself and to the world when she was only 6 years old. She was traveling in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own favorite shoes. Angelina ask the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and she said a doctor, but she could not because she had to take care of her siblings. She asked Angelina the same question and Angelina said I want to sing for the world. The young girl said she would pray for Angelina. Since then, Angelia has forever performed barefoot as a reminder of all those less fortunate. At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. She even donated her winnings from Norway's Got Talent to charities. She is a special individual, and one you cannot follow without developing an emotional bond.
