- Darkness fell, We lads relaxed smoking and chatting in the base. Our base is a requisitioned monastery and there are tight guard post outside, so it must be secure here. But none of us realized that an evil sneak attack was coming...

This time Klaus we have the enemy trapped at the end of the corridor, there is no escape for them and will end up riddled with our bullets. You take up position to the left (love the way you push your back against the wall HOT!) and I will fire from the right. Our senior officer has ordered us to take them out or will we have to answer to him. But suddenly "Who ist this?" a sudden surprise attack from the side, we did not even have time to turn and face the enemy as their bullets drill into us "AAAGGHH" our senior officer takes a fatal slug through his right pec and machine gun fire rakes across us both "UUUHH" "URGHKK" you arch your back with arms flailing in the air while I fire my MP40 in to the floor as I take my load of hot lead. A succession of thuds as our heavy bodies hit the floor with boots in the air. Damn, the disgrace and dishonour to be killed in our SS uniforms is to much to take.
Love this scene, thank you for posting. Lets hope Klaus and Kurt fare better next time? ;-)
It's a nightmare night! We were unprepared when the raid happened! How did the enemy suddenly emerge inside our base? Before we know what's going on, we are surrounded by enemy bullets! The familiar comrades got shot and moaning beside us, makes us more panicked and confused--we even unable to organize effective defense and counterattack...I fired a shot in a hurry but missed the enemy--"OUGH!"You fell right in front of me! Himmel! I scrambling to reload--"ARGH!!"Damn bullets got into my chest! Nein!

First mistake in making this bullshit film, the helmet were matte grey/green not polished black. Next 20 years they will be making films with German helmet being brown. PMSL! 😂
Many helmets are not matte but polished, especially SS helmets. Shown in some historical videos and photos.

It supposed to be a captured weapon. This place is not the front line, and this is not a field force that need to give priority to the supply of weapons.

@@6010312 He’s definitely a top squad leader! - He was alert to the enemy's plot. But he should called at least one soldier with him to deal with those damn spies. What a pity! His death means disaster for everyone especially 1:09!

@@6010312 Not only he, but everyone(such as 1:09) paid a heavy price! Soldiers could have been alerted and put into a state of alert earlier.
