I can’t believe Bela here made it seem like he was a caring coach telling Dominique to stop when she collapsed. She says he grabbed her by the neck, dragged her to the phone, and told her to call her parents to take her. Bloody disgusting.
Also, "She did not say a word, she just got up and did it again." Like that's a good thing?? A 14yo child with a BROKEN LEG being forced to run, jump, and slam down on that leg over and over and over and over again out of fear of her father, fear of her coach. An abused child kept her mouth shut despite being injured, of course she did!
The saddest part for me was when one of her coaches hid candy in her bear, which was like the only sugar she'd ever get to have. And when they discovered it, she didn't out the coach because she loved her so much and would rather take the heat herself. She was so young too but astute enough to know the coach was doing a nice thing for her.
CHILD ABUSE! Physical, psychological, and now sexual. Let the kids talk, speak for themselves, and this time, let's listen and really hear what they are saying. Support them, validate, and take full action. Protect them.

Dominique M is my fan. She is great and care. I was doing Special Olympics gymnastics. Head coach pushed me do this that I don’t want do this. Knees already kill me. I’m retired. Bella is not alone to force and push. Some all USA. One day I will visit Dominique M’s gymnastics in Medina, Ohio. Not far. 2 hours. I will bring my book to sign.

If you only knew the way that those girls were severely limited in their diets - practically starved - to look like those little pixies, you wouldn’t think it was so magical. What a lot of people don’t know happened behind the scenes is that many of these gymnasts were frequently blasted for gaining weight. Yes, those same little pixies! Many girls - not DM - had eating disorders as well. Another purpose in these cruel diets was to delay puberty (aka delay the development of breasts and curves). Thankfully, elite gymnasts of today have healthier diets. Simone Biles and Suni Lee do not have to starve in order to impress judges and be able to tumble and fly the way that they do.
