I needed one a little more portable to not only go in my pickup when we go camping and also go in my delivery truck. It wasn’t super expensive, but does the job really well. Thanks man good video
I have this same model dashcam. I've had it for about 1 year and so far it's worked very well other than the 2 sided tape provided for rear camera. I uad to buy a 3M tape to keep it from peeling off. Features are great for the price. I purchased mine during cyber monday sales so i paid less for my unit and it came with kit to hardwire. Overall great dashcam.
Have you looked at the Fitcamx system for your truck ? I just installed one on my Ram 1500 and they are amassing . They replace the entire plastic part under the mirror with the sensors and add a dash cam . I bought this after the heat made my dash cam fall a couple of times while driving down the road . They dont make one for you new truck but I believe they make one for your GMC . BTW I do not work for them .
Hey JD, nice review. Question for you. Do you know anything about the windshield cameras from Escort? They sell them to mount up with their radar detectors. Might be a nice video for you as well. Install in one of your other vehicles.
By chance, did you notice if it could be mounted on the dash…in other words, upside down (will the device automatically rotate the imoages and screen)? Great review-thanks!
But the question is, did you install this because you think it's the best camera available, or did you install it because it was sent to you/sponsored?
I think there is a short list of "best" cameras. This one is definitely on that list. I have the opportunity to test several models over the past 8 years and have never had am issue with Vantrue products. Do I think there are other options that are equally as good for around the same price? Sure! I've had pretty rough luck when testing cheap ones ($30-75 range) and Ive made several videos talking about them failing likely due to the heat.
@@BTBRVReviews Oh, I agree the cheap ones aren't worth the box they came in. I just wanted to know if the recommendation was genuine or if it was made to keep the sponsors coming. Sounds like you're saying it's genuine?

This is what I have on our f350 dually.

I use an Orbit
Small but amazing pictures
Sounds like I need to buy this camera for my 2014 Toyota Camry LE. Arkansas is full of bad drivers, and the roads suck.
I'm curious why you mounted the camera to the sliding rear window?
JD, what kind of camera do you use during your driving monologues that we see out the front with?

Most of them have settings to adjust orientation
JD, can you wire this into the upfitter switches on the F450?
I probably could but I'd be concerned about the voltage difference. 12vt vs 5vt for the camera
@@BTBRVReviews thank you
Very good video. Question: Is the resolution good enough to read a license plate on a vehicle in front of you at night?
In most circumstances yes
Will you be putting one in the F450?
I use a rear view mirror dash cam in that truck.
@@BTBRVReviewsI don’t suppose you have a video of the Wolfbox install in the F450?
But the question is, did you install this because you think it's the best camera available, or did you install it because it was sent to you/sponsored?
Great question

So it seems like with his answer making laps... it was sent to him for testing....

A camera in your car can be problematic because it can be used against you in court. No way I’d want my driving to always be recorded.
I see no need for an interior looking camera
And everything is made in China, what happened to Sony/pioneer/Alpine,etc...??
You mean all those companies that used Taiwan for manufacturing!
@RugbyLock still better than chinesium.
