One of the best things about having Murray in a situation where Ingram stays in NO is that BI is incredibly effective in the short actions near the paint. I think Antonio Daniels (one of the pelican casters) harped about it for years now. Ingram is a good ball handler, especially for his length, but it can be very hard for him with all the defensive attention, to get in his lethal range if he's starting all the way out at the 3 point line. Instead of just being used off-ball, having a quicker guard like Murray open things up and maybe set him up at this 'one-dribble' spot, where he is just massively effective, (regardless of defense) would really work in their favor. The Pelicans never really had another ball handler outside of their wings BI and Zion. CJ does have a very good handle, but he doesn't really have the creation that we tend to see in top PG's, he's more of a shooting guard that can do a bit of creation on the side. Regardless of anything, if Ingram stays, he needs to increase his volume as a threepoint shooter. In the 2022-2023 season, he was pretty efficient for longer stretches and he also tends to hit them when it matters. (a bit like SGA does, who also doesn't take enough threes) I like his game everywhere else, his midrange is top notch, his scoring at the rim is very underrated and he just came off the best defensive season of his career, meanwhile he is pretty much the best playmaking wing in the league, finding teammates at impossible angles at times without even looking. Also, just in case he or Zion is out for another stretch time, the team can still get by perfectly fine on one of them, I think they have proven that much for now. With Murray in the mix, this should be even better.

Ok, I'll try to help with the french guys names pronunciation : - Alexan-DRE Sarr, not Alexan-DER Sarr. You don't say An-DER, you say An-DRE, same thing here (except you dont add the -ay sound at the end, because there is no -é in Alexandre). - Rizaché not Rissachere. The right way to say the -é part would be like "maché" in "papier maché", if you know how to pronounce it properly (probably not), if not then use the -ay sound in Andre (not perfect at all, but good enough). - The proper prounounciation of the name Salaün use a sound you just don't have in english (to my knowledge at least). If you're familiar with the international phonetic alphabet, it's the ɛ̃ sound. If you have some basic french knowledge, the -aün part should be prounced like the -in part in "patin", "lapin" or "matin" (put those words in google trad, select french then use the "hear" feature). Risacher and Salaün aren't french names originally, that's why there is quite a gap between the spelling and the pronunciation.
The DJM trade was good because we got back what we were asking for. We got a lengthy defender around Trae, we’ve got a backup center in Nance Jr (he just has to catch lobs) so we can move Capela and maybe Hunter in a package with some of the picks we got. But the length and defense the hawks have added so far around Trae is the same formula that got them to the ECF. They just gotta keep making moves
Completely disagree with your Julius Randle take, he adds another dimension that the Knicks don’t have without him as a post presence and playmaking hub, he can take pressure off Brunson while being a decent big body defender and elite rebounder
His randle take was very lazy and obviously he doesn't watch knicks og can not play pf as a starter he's way to injury prone to bang and randle inside game is to the point where he can't be guarded it's the same randle nonsense but obviously knicks do things thier way and r loyal randle going nowhere at all

@@Romanus- Don't get me wrong, I don't think he has much upside, basically just Rubio but big and worse defensively, but that still has value in the right context
he’s comparing him to lavine but hes 2 inches taller, like 6-7 yrs younger, and plays a completely different style. Giddey isnt a bad player in the slightest.
28:45 how good does Joel, nurkic, Jonas move their feet? How well does the joker or Lopez move their feet on defense. We have some pretty irrelevant talking point when it comes to how well a guy would succeed in the nba. If I’m not mistaken Lopez was considered a great defender for a big by dropping on defense. Achieving 2 blocks per game 4 years for MIL. Zach could be brook on defense and lob threat Jonas VAL post presence on offense. That’s realistic to me. And that’s a valuable big man to have on any team.
I really think that loading up in this draft would have been beneficial for teams looking to compete since theres alot of role ready players and dudes who are young with good floors. Sure you kay only get your 6 7 and 8th man but theyd be able to help you out and be cheap for a few years
It's great that the Knicks re-signed OG, but to give him $212.5 million considering his injury history is insane. He played only 23 of the last 51 games of the season and got injured AGAIN in the playoffs, but he got 100 million more than Brunson and Randle, both of whom have been All-Stars and All-NBA players for the Knicks in recent years.
Agents dictate where their clients go to. I think Rusty totally forgot about Rich Paul playing chess master in having Bob Myers relay on National Television that if you sign Bronny, he's going to Australia. I wouldn't be suprised if Sarr's Agent who's also Luka's Agent btw put it out there to the Hawks to not draft Alex.
@@urbaindelva7869 its crazy to me b/c in literally any other sport, a college prospect that won back to back player of the year awards would be 9/10 times seen as a top prospect in their draft. Pacome Dattier is going to be solid at a minimum i was really mad the warriors didnt get him. His offense is super versatile and he excelled at every point of scoring accept transition for some reason. I think he will be very solid
tell me you dont watch the knicks, without telling me you dont watch the knicks. Julius Randle isnt going anywhere. he's the only person on the roster, aside from Brunson, who can consistently create his own shot and open shots for others. he's an immense paint presence and puts a lot of pressure on the rim, bending the opposing teams defense. Brunson and Randle flanked with shooters - Bridges and Anunoby, is far more deadly than 35 yr old Paul George.

The thing that irked me most about the Bronny narrative is there were people who had legitimately convinced themselves he would be picked #17. Even LeBron would have called up the front office and been like "What the eff are you doing Rob?"
Julius Randle is a two time ALL NBA player... Trade him for 34 yo P. George and pay him twice as much as Randle??? Ask any forward who would they rather defend... Randle or George? They gonna need aspirin and ice bags after defending Randle and trying to keep him off the boards😅😅😅. Look at the record in January for the Knicks when OG came. Why do "people" think Randle is a problem??? He's a 25 and 10 wrecking ball who must be double teamed. News flash... Randle isn't some chucker throwing up shots He is All NBA 2 out of three years. He's the star everyone says the Knicks need next to Brunson and all these pundits who don't watch the Knicks say trade him. Why? Because "you think" he will stagnate the offense...😅😅😅 Just stop. Again... look at the tape and the record with Brunson, OG and Randle and then rethink your educated opinion. No one is doubling OG or Mikal. Neither of them are even All- Stars. Just stop. Randle had a better season than George this year. And this Hartenstein BS. He's not Bill Walton. He can be replaced. Mo Wagner or James Wiseman and keep it moving.

oh yeah the Mikal Bridges is the key piece Knicks need to be a contender.. While the Knicks had a late season surge and finished 2nd in the conference, which is respectable, they were still FOURTEEN (14) GAMES back from the 1 seed Celtics. The gap between the 1st seed Celtics and 2nd seed Knicks is the same gap between the 2nd seed Knicks and the 10th Seed Hawks. Mikal Bridges is a decent role player with average offensive game but a below average defensive game. Mikal put up a 1.2 VORP last season, tied for 99th place, except with his 82 games played, he played at least 10 more games than any of the 5 others he tied with that year. His 0.70 ws/48 was tied for 141st in the league. His PER of 14.9 is tied for 98th in the league. Also dude is 27. This is what he is. We clowned on Minnesota for giving up so much for Rudy Gobert but at least he was proven to be an elite defensive player. Mikal Bridges is a middling starter.

His randle take was very lazy and obviously he doesn't watch knicks og can not play pf as a starter he's way to injury prone to bang and randle inside game is to the point where he can't be guarded it's the same randle nonsense but obviously knicks do things thier way and r loyal randle going nowhere at all
Randle is actually a better play maker than brunson
@@ApoloWilliams he’s had the same opinion of Randle for 2 years, he clearly ain’t watch how he change his game

Am I missing something with Giddey's finishing? He's a career 65% shooter from 0-3 feet. Probably doesn't finish well through contact if people say he can't finish in spite of the good percentage. Anyone got something to back that up?
Yeh same. People don’t seem to think he has potential when I think he’s clearly does
@@Romanus-
Don't get me wrong, I don't think he has much upside, basically just Rubio but big and worse defensively, but that still has value in the right context
Always good to see honest Bulls takes. Don't need to sugarcoat it.
As a bulls fan, i cant wait for Giddey to have a good season just to see Rusty's reaction.
If I see Josh Giddey all star starter bro
he’s comparing him to lavine but hes 2 inches taller, like 6-7 yrs younger, and plays a completely different style. Giddey isnt a bad player in the slightest.
also if ge can score 16 ppg when hes 18-19 then he can def score 18-20 (3 freethrows extra a game)
Hes gonna average 19-7-9
Excited to hear your take on the Pistons recent moves
Your take on Bronny is spot on
28:45 how good does Joel, nurkic, Jonas move their feet?
Sure you kay only get your 6 7 and 8th man but theyd be able to help you out and be cheap for a few years
"Two guys who like to dribble the ball can play together" - Rusty Buckets
It's great that the Knicks re-signed OG, but to give him $212.5 million considering his injury history is insane. He played only 23 of the last 51 games of the season and got injured AGAIN in the playoffs, but he got 100 million more than Brunson and Randle, both of whom have been All-Stars and All-NBA players for the Knicks in recent years.
Its crazy to think that the lakers could actively have the best backcourt in the league with KCP Caruso and Reeves. Wild really
You forgot that WSH also got the 2029 1st and two 2nd rd picks for the Deni trade.
Brogdon trying to gun for Ish Smith and Jeff Green's record for most jerseys worn in the league.
Anybody else put this on in the background replaying old 2k or is it just me
Been doing this for so long now😭

Agents dictate where their clients go to. I think Rusty totally forgot about Rich Paul playing chess master in having Bob Myers relay on National Television that if you sign Bronny, he's going to Australia. I wouldn't be suprised if Sarr's Agent who's also Luka's Agent btw put it out there to the Hawks to not draft Alex.
“Swing the balance” is a bit much. It does make the Knicks more formidable.
Rusty is the first person that didnt immediately hate on Zach edey
Why are people hating on Zach Edey?
@@urbaindelva7869 its crazy to me b/c in literally any other sport, a college prospect that won back to back player of the year awards would be 9/10 times seen as a top prospect in their draft. But the NBA is different because apparently being 22/21 is seen as old and already tapped out (which isn't true a lot of the time LMAO??)
@@urbaindelva7869I don’t get it. I would get it if he was picked number 1 or something but people seem to just hate on the guy for no reason.
Pacome Dattier is going to be solid at a minimum i was really mad the warriors didnt get him. His offense is super versatile and he excelled at every point of scoring accept transition for some reason. I think he will be very solid
Its also funny because Rusty naned himself aftrr Jimmy Butler. A guy who took awhile to develop.
You'll own a giddey jersey soon
Facts
tell me you dont watch the knicks, without telling me you dont watch the knicks.
Not to mention before he got injured, they were looking like one of the scariest teams in the league. Totally disagree with Rusty's rake on this....
the FACTOR link in the description led to a dead end. Had to download the app.
Just saying this in case it affects your money received per times the link is clicked
The thing that irked me most about the Bronny narrative is there were people who had legitimately convinced themselves he would be picked #17. Even LeBron would have called up the front office and been like "What the eff are you doing Rob?"
37:40 you really missed a Giddey/aging joke
Ty ty ty it's the same silly whiteboys with this same silly take y because randle is not that big name he's like a top 5 pf I watch him kill Aron gordan kat sabonis thobias Harris and gianiss killed drop 30 easy and him and brunson chemistry is amazing on top of that josh hart is a horrendous offensive player and og not big or strong enough to play the 4 wat is this whiteboys paul George obsession Paul George is 34 and definitely not wat he was 5 years ago wat has he done wat?

This guy never watches a Knicks game. It's seething in every video when he needs to talk about him. The Knicks, with Randle, Brunson, and OG, went 12-1 before he injured himself. Probably Julius fuck his mother.
What I want you to talk about is OKC, the trades, the draft picks acquired, the plan, the rebuild etc. ;
Also talk about the new Knicks roster and their future. ;
The future and who will take over the face of the NBA and replace the old stars who are about to retire. Who will GS build around? Like the curry and bucks cideos. Byee

The Hawks can want a trade and Trae can want a trade all they want. They need another team to want that trade. That’s their problem.
I agree with most of the things you said but giddey can ball man, he's only what in his third year? He wasn't a good fit in OKC and still produced, I say give him the ball and see what he can do as the hub
There is still time for Alex Sarr to ask for a trade off the Washington Wizards. 😂🏀

Weird
You are the one non-Nets fan who noticed Mikal Bridges Defense 'fell off'(a nice way of saying it'). Though last yr when Bridges is scoring 12pts/game & its due to his concentration on his offense, what does that say about him? And if it's due to him quitting on his team, what does that say about him? At least James Harden only quits on his teams for a week.
I think the Knicks should try and get Brook Lopez
You only say that was one of the worst defensive player of the Year races because Marcus Smart won it but that Celtic team was the best defensive team I seen the second half of that season center Detroit Pistons in 04
Julius Randle for Zubac would be interesting
Uh, no. The Knicks would not do that.
DEN got 22M to offer to KCP. He can go and find other team offering him 25M. It's on KCP if he wants to be part of the Nuggets and make this places his home or be greedy and just go for the money and be a mercenary
Why isn't Alex Sarr on the French National Team. The #2 Pick in the Draft from France and isn't playing in the Olympics this Summer in France. Washington Wizards told Team France he can't play in the Olympics? 🇫🇷🏀
No one should be blaming bronny BUT it’s also naive to act like this wasn’t being planned and what goes into that.
I thought Wiz got Carrington from Pittsburgh with 14th pick
At least Zach is a good guy
Bronny wasnt a trade though
How many star players were projected as a role player guy at draft night , how many guys have come out of nowhere to be great.
Any of this guys could develop into semthjng more and most of us wouldn’t know it
Best shooter over 6'8 is crazyy u ever heard of Kevin Durant bro?
oh yeah the Mikal Bridges is the key piece Knicks need to be a contender..
You can’t fully judge a players defensive stats on a losing team
