@WisteriaNerium Very. It does not correct or answer any critical comments, especially my own which I'll copy and paste here for the sake of brievity: Half good video. Good information presented, but leaving the theory out there that "valve stole!!!" is highly unlikely, and is near misinformation. While Valve does rely on the community for most of their games and add community content TO their games, they're not the kind of company to just outright "yoink" it. Even back in the early CS 1.6 days, permission to use maps was always asked. Even now with TF2 and CS2, permission is still asked to use community content in the games, especially TF2. In 2013, the first "community created" update for TF2 was released in "Robotic Boogaloo", so I'm 100% certain permission was asked in the case of Stone/Denisov. Once again, leaving the video off on the note that "Valve was lazy and stole" is a bad move, and I feel this video should be edited.
Solid update but i think the problem people have is that the video is presented as "valve stole stuff", where its more of a theory and is probably not true. Valve has been known to ask fans for permission to use their creations. It is worth looking into though to see if it is true, but not worth a video that feels a little more oriented towards turning peoples heads on something that might not even be a issue. Basically would have been better to just talk about the model pack and bring this up as a small note. I like these models so good to know its from fans.

Hey there! I actually did play From Earth but just a little. Once I play it more, I might make a video for it. And yeah I've seen A Place In The West, it looks great! Thanks!
Since when does HL:S has an HD pack by Valve? The one from the video I did download as a mod for sure around 2010. This was never work by Valve or Gearbox. Interesting that it was introduced in 2013. Its so strange, I liked HL:S in 2010, but hearing what all the updates caused since then is crazy.
Never got the outrage over HL:Source being lazy or whatever. Why would you expect a full overhaul of the game with new textures and models? It's just called "Half-Life: Source". Not "Half-Life: Remake" or "Half-Life: Retouched" or even "Half-Life: HD". It wasn't a game they ported over to new hardware like Mario 64 DS or Ocarina of Time for the 3DS either. It's just Half-Life, but in the Source engine. That's all it promised, and that's all it was. Heck, even then, it had massive improvements like better lighting and water, and even ragdolls. They didn't need to add those, but they did. That was good. Also it's my favorite way to play HL1, even with the bugs and glitches, fight me.
Is there a reason why they didn't just use the Gearbox HD pack? If Valve wanted it to be even higher definition, then they could've taken the models and textures from the PS2 version, aka the Super Definition pack.

Iirc, I heard something about the pack being free use by anyone with proper credit, I heard it by word of mouth though so don't ask me to elaborate.
Real men uses SD models
That’s just a given.
No
I know you'd kill me for this... But would you stream the leaked beta of HL:S? I've beaten it (barely), and lemme just say
Water is dangerous. Stay frosty.
looks very sourcery like really really sourcely super source
Holy Moly Sourcomoly Valve did the funny
The fact that Beretta in HD model pack doesn't even have a magazine is already enough to not like HD models for me. lol
(Not to mention how lazy overall the reload animation is).
Something I find kind of sad is that most people who buy HL:S aren't even buying it to play it, but rather to hook into GMod for its textures. Sure, Black Mesa is a better way to play through the same adventure, but I think there's merit to the idea of playing a port of the original game but on a superior game engine.
leave the billion dollar company alone.🤰
7 hours ago. I MISSED IT
Half good video.
The one thing they actually made better in Source, and they didn’t even make it.
One again, VALVe thinking their slick.
Community > Publishers
sure i think
Hello! It's me again! I hope you have a great day. Did you played from earth yet? I also got another video idea for you! On steam, there's another half life named "Half life: A place in the west", it's comic and has interesting story if you wanna take look at it friend!
Hey there! I actually did play From Earth but just a little. Once I play it more, I might make a video for it. And yeah I've seen A Place In The West, it looks great! Thanks!
@@RadiationHazardYT That's lovely! Thank you so much for trying them out!
heh mayne now Valve will redeem itself with HL source 2 >:3
I actually prefer HL:S HD models over HL1
Since when does HL:S has an HD pack by Valve? The one from the video I did download as a mod for sure around 2010. This was never work by Valve or Gearbox.
Interesting that it was introduced in 2013.
Its so strange, I liked HL:S in 2010, but hearing what all the updates caused since then is crazy.
Very interesting...
Valve
i dont own half life source
answer: ye
Honestly.... it is pretty weird....
cheese
WE FORGOT THE CHEESE, GROMIT
cheese
really interesting
Thats criminal.
Legally Not really.
half life source is peak, game of the year!
this is a joke, don't take this to seriously.
with all the stuff modders take from valve they were like fuck it and they were eastern european lol pirated hl copies and stuff
Is there a reason why they didn't just use the Gearbox HD pack?
If Valve wanted it to be even higher definition, then they could've taken the models and textures from the PS2 version, aka the Super Definition pack.
A lot of people might see it as lazy, but the way I see it, it's cool that Valve willing to use community stuff. I'm sure they ask for premission or pay them. I don't believe in them stealing, unless there is proof.
