May similarities ang love story ninyo sa amin ng asawa ko. Hindi kami mag-boyfriend-girlfriend noong pumunta siya sa Pi’nas to see me. Pero at the end of his holiday he proposed. Hindi ko siya sinagot kasi I didn’t really know him that well dahil pen pal lang kami. Pero siya nag-persist kasi ako daw talaga ang para sa kaniya. Tawag siya ng tawag at palaging sumusulat sa akin. I prayed for God’s guidance kasi I did not want to rush things, plus my parents are separated. I wanted to avoid the kind of marriage where only one party lang ang may gusto and the other ay parang na-“force”.
Eventually I learned to love him, so I said yes to being his wife after his third proposal - while he was on the phone in England and I was in the Philippines. The relationship was totally LDR. He returned to the Philippines for our wedding and 2 days after we flew to England, where we had our English wedding a week after our arrival. We are thankful kasi we celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary last December.

He was an OFW on a site for RMs. We chatted for a year and then I went to the Philippines and we met up. I had a convert (my best friend there and a bishop now) meet me with my bf to ensure it was a good situation, my bf brought his sister. We went to the temple on our first date all of us together. Anyways after a month we got all organized and married in a month in Lingayan Pangasinan.
