Hi Dan thank you for the shout out I'm glad you found some inspiration to get that universal monsters pack that is the best release. Got some other solid films there too. China O'brien was another favourite of mine back in the ex rental days Lock up with Stallone is a very gritty film for him. Cheers mate 👍
Hi mate. I always enjoy listening to you and Ant discuss movies ect and I give credit where credit due or acknowledgement and couldn't show the set without saying who inspired me. I'm looking forward to Monday 😀
I love the China O'Brien set and chose to pre-order the Vinegar Syndrome version. I think the first Equalizer film is great and my favourit part is when he says he used to be a Pip.
Great pickups Dan. John Wick 4 was one I really enjoyed. You can't go wrong with Lock up and Judge Dredd, two brilliant films. I've been meaning to check out Equalizer 3, I enjoyed the first two. I like the Hasbro collection you've got on the shelves bud. Top video.
Cheers mate, I love the Hasbro figures, I hope to build on this modest collection, I regret selling them when I was a teen, I had them all apart from the green card releases. Take care.
@@dansmoviecave Yeah, their top figures Dan. I sold a few of my Toybiz and I gave away a few BCA's to family. But, it's a fun process of recollecting the ones you enjoy bud.
Hi Dan, I used to watch a lot of Cynthia Rothrock films back in the day, I wouldn’t mind rewatching them as she was very easy on the eyes 😁 I preferred the third Equalizer film over the second film too. Nice back catalogue titles mate, take care👍😃👍
Hi Alan, good to hear from you, I do enjoy the back catalogue titles, save the pennies, I used to go out on release day every week before my daughter was born and spend a small fortune, I'd be skint now 😅
Another great update Dan, Really enjoyed The Equalizer 3 movie and its way better than part 2, also agree that the third John Wick films is the weakest but still a good film. I need to pickup Judge Dredd, always enjoyed that one. I have the LP to Crossroads, excellent soundtrack.
Hi mate, hope you're keeping well. Great to hear you have the crossroads soundtrack, I wouldn't mind a cd of that myself, I don't want to start on records, I'd be skint.
Hey Dan! Great pickups, I'm glad you found The spikes gang and hell in the pacific, 2 Great Lee Marvin movies ppl probably haven't heard of much, and I picked up "soldier blue" and haven't watched it yet, will do tonight! take Care my friend
Hi Mike, Many thanks for stopping by and checking out what I purchased. I'll definitely like yo know your thoughts on soldier blue once you've watched it.
Two women is a great Italian film. The book by Alberto Moravia was a harrowing read, and the film is superbly directed by Vittorio De Sica. Shoeshine, directed by Sica, is another brilliantly acted film. It's good to see some semblance of balance amongst the usual Stallone action films. 😊
Cheers Mate, yes what a film two women is, I'm.very pleased to have added it to the collection. I'll add the recommendation from yourself to my watch list. Take care, mate.
Some Awesome pickups there my friend, especially interested in the Hell in the Pacific, plot kinda reminds me of Enemy Mine, with Dennis Quaid & Louis Gossett Jr. Same premise but Sci-Fi setting and it came after, so maybe Hell in the Pacific was the inspiration for that ....🤔
I'd say you could be spot on with that inspiration for Enemy Mine, another film I really enjoy. Hell in thd pacific is definitely worth it mate. Take care.
Hi Jason, Good to hear from you. Soldier blue does have a regular UK blu ray release soon, so it's worth holding out for that. The spikes gang is really worth it snd God's gun you may like, it's not brilliant but it's Vsn Cleefe snd Pslsncd so worth thd watch.
Hi Dan, I also have been thinking of getting that Universal Monsters set & wanting to revisit the movies again & i too have never owned them, & it looks a solid set, i do need to catch up on the John Wick movies, i enjoyed the first but i do prefer "The Equalizer" movies which still need to purchase the third one. Always had a soft spot for "Lock up" much underrated, i have seen "Crossroads" but many years ago & forget its a Walter Hill movie & do remember quite enjoying. "God"s Gun" not one of Lee Van Cleef"s best, good to see some old school Lee Marvin movies, "Hell in the Pacific" i do have the Kino release so not sure if its a difficult one to track down, & just announced "Cat Ballou" is getting released in July from Sony Pictures. Fine purchases my friend.
Hi Carlos, The universal monster set is a very nice one , original pressing far better than the newer release which is slim with a keepcase. I too forgot that Walter hill directed crossroads until I got this copy. Kino release of hell in the Pacific is pricey nowadays. I'll be getting Cat Ballou, thanks for the heads up and the comment 😊
I prefer home alone 2 I find it more festive Tim curry is fantastic. Nice pickups mate , I recently watched soldier blue Candice Bergen fantastic, 😍 nice pickups mate 👍🏻
Great pick ups Dan! A couple there I've not had chance to see, Crossroads in particular is an 80's movie that passed me by but looks interesting. Gods Gun i've not seen yet but looks to have a great cast. Did a video on Soldier Blue a couple of months back and glad to see it's getting a UK release, but i won't be paying £30 for the steelbook either... I'll hold out for a standard 4K release hopefully some time in the future. Hope you're having a great week buddy, take care. 👏👏📽📽
Hi Steve, damn I forgot to mention you was my inspiration in picking up soldier blue , apologies. God's gun I got pretty cheap , you may see the posties with it and if you do get around to watching it a review would be great, crossroads is s must mate, take care.
Nice pick ups there Dan. I need to check out Two Women, not sure I've heard of it. I've definitely heard of Hell In The Pacific. Kino Lorba have a release of it. Lock Up is great. Looks good on 4K. Got to love some Home Alone too. Trev
Hi Trevor, kino did release hell in the Pacific, expensive now though it seems. Two women one I think you'd appreciate, ww2 set great performance and story. Take care.
Corey Yuen should have directed the China O'Brien films, the fight scenes would have been much better, Harvest chose the wrong director for me mate. I watched the first three Wick films and wasn't impressed, not sure if I can stomach a fourth 😅 Crossroads is a rare Hill film I haven't seen, I hate Jazz music so it's never appealed to me. Recently picked up the equaliser trilogy, not seen the 3rd one yet but I love Denzel, what an actor, take care mate 👍
Hi mate, I hope you're keeping well. I definitely agree that that the fight scenes would have been better in China O'brien 👍 John wick 4 then Definitely give a miss mate if you wasn't struck on the first 3. Crossroads I definitely recommend, I don't find it to be too heavy on music, such a good story. Take care mate.
Hi! Soldier blue is getting a standard blu ray for £15 by the same label. I’ve not seen the film but have known about it. Think the uk one is still cut due to the horse injuries I believe? Grabbing the steelbook. Universal monsters are brilliant. Seen just about all the movies.

Got to adore that China O'Brien set. Cynthia Rothrock should have been a much bigger star during her initial filmography lifetime. 👍
I totally agree mate , I'm surprised she's not been in the expendables movies.

Decent grabs there matey.. I'm a massive fan of the Crossroads movie.. very rare I hear it talked about 😎👍
Cheers mate. Great to hear your praise for crossroads, definitely much overlooked.
Can't beat the Universal Monsters films! Absolute classics! Great pick-ups Dan
Hi mate. These movies used to freak me out back in the day when I used yo be channel surfing, cheers mate.
@@dansmoviecave Same here mate. Although you'll probably have a good laugh at them now. Watch out for the land lady in The Invisible Man 🤣
Great pick ups, I couldn't get through John Wick 4 far to long for a action movie for me.
Cheers mate, the run time was my initial concern, I enjoyed the movie, but whatever happened yo the good old 90-minute action movies.

Some great pick ups, Dan. Hell In The Pacific is one i still need to see so that might be next on the list. Great stuff.
Cheers Mike, He'll in the Pacific not a bad price to be honest £15. Needs an official release here in the UK.

Hi Mate, Personally I'd say you'd benefit from watching all the movies in order as there's a brief nod to the first movie in the third.
