What are your thoughts on Ahrefs vs SEMRush or Surfer SEO?

Love this video and others of yours on SEO! Question, what extension is giving you the domain authority/keyword difficulty with results in google search? I've tried SEO Quake (and Page Improve). Is there a different chrome extension, or do I just need to maybe revisit the settings on SEO Quake?
I’m also running Keyword surfer by SurferSEO. Both are paid subscriptions so maybe that makes a difference.

How does Surfer SEO calculate DA percentage? They use a 1-10 rating, so do you know that transfers to percentage? Would 5 be 50%?

so as long as you can afford about 500 - £1000 per month, your solid. Unfortunately, many self employed small client businesses can't afford this. But yes the tool is great.

Hi! When you say 'las vegas zip code map' and you started ranking pages for that, what are you doing to capture that phrase and apply it to a site for it to pop up in search results? Is this something to do with submitting a sitemap and then Google knows that that's what your page is about and somehow the keywords are embedded in there? I am understanding the importance of keywords but not how or where to use them.

If the domain authority is less than 30, stay with the lowest competition keywords. 30-60, target medium to difficult and over 60 can work to compete with the hard category

Depends on your biggest need right now. I'd say keyword research tools are very important but may not need a bells and whistles tool right now. If you can find topics, and create content, then you may want on-page SEO the most, and that's Surfer. bit.ly/31DdSdy: (my affiliate link)

I recommend pulling up your competitors in the keyword tool and start writing content based on the keyword difficulty that your domain can rank for. Write the content, link to your primary pages, build a strong home page. Create resources. You need the content, internal linking, external links, and backlinks to rank for competitive keywords.
A good resource that could attract backlinks and give you content ideas for internal links: Create a local plumbing guide: Create a comprehensive guide to plumbing in your local area. Include information on common plumbing problems, how to prevent them, and tips on choosing the right plumber. Publish this guide on your website and promote it through social media and local directories.

Have you created any comprehensive videos about the Surfer SEO Keyword Research tool? While it may not be as advanced as SEMRUSH, can it still provide insight on your potential to rank?

@@Loriballen I'm asking because I'm a new blogger with limited resources and I'm trying to choose between Surfer SEO and SEMRUSH. While Surfer SEO seems like the better option for a beginner like me, I'm wondering if the quality of my content matters if I'm not targeting keywords with low rankings (below 50). In other words, even if I have all the right keywords, images, and word count, it won't make a difference if I'm up against the top websites.
I'm even considering using SEMRUSH (using your affiliate link, of course) for a month to identify as many low-ranking keywords as possible in my niche, maybe around 100 topics. After that, I'll stop using SEMRUSH and switch to Surfer SEO (again, your link) for several months to create the best content possible. Do you think this plan makes sense? I understand if you're too busy to respond, but thanks in advance.
@@jackk6728 I made a video yesterday comparing the two tools for beginners. It will go live on Saturday morning. It would be easier to find a cheaper keyword tool than to find something that does what Surfer does. Like your idea of downloading a bunch in advance as well.

What annoys me about blogging is "Best dog crate beds" could be answered more than adequately in a paragraph but you have to spin it out to 3000 words to get on Google.
Google is their own worst enemy.
Most people are in a hurry.
Just give me the answer, don't make me wade through 3000 words to find an answer.

I feel the same way about long, drawn-out recipes. I don't care how your grandma made the hummus; just give me the recipe. I understand why it's done, but it's annoying. And that's where chatbot engines are valuable. I find myself using them a lot now for answers where I don't want to read a lengthy article.
