Hey Larry! This video was so cute! The Shadowhunter universe is one of my all-time favourites. I have read every book. I suggest reading the series (in full) in the order they were published (i.e. The Mortal Instruments (6 book series starting with City of Bones), then The Bane Chronicles (1 book with mini stories about the background of one character), then The Infernal Devices (3 book series starting with Clockwork Angel) (this is a prequel), then Tales of Shadowhunter Academy (1 book with interconnected mini stories about a few characters), then The Dark Artifices (3 book series (so far) starting with Lady Midnight) (this is a 'sequel' to the main series), then The Ghost of Shadow Market (1 book with mini stories about a few things, mainly around one character though), then The Eldest Curses (2 books (maybe another) about 2 characters from Mortal Instruments), then The Last Hour (3 books starting with Chain of Gold) (this is a sequel to the prequel). Depending on what version of the book you get, there may be bonus chapters at the end (which are worth it if you ask me). You can read 'the Shadowhunter's Codex' and 'Illustrated History of Notable Shadowhunters & Denizens of Downworld' for fun-sies if you want. Mostly the Shadowhunter universe could be described as YA (except for a few books) but I find some of the traumatic, mental and emotional things some characters deal with in each book is above YA, but that might just be me. I know you didn't read the Throne of Glass series in published order but I would highly suggest reading this universe in order otherwise you will get some pretty major spoilers (like huge spoilers!). P.s. The movie (City of Bones) was alright (a bit eh after I read the books if you ask me. It's not the same as the book in a lot of ways. That's probably why they never made the rest of the books into movies). The TV show was absolutely horrible. Do not even waste your time on it. If we are truly besties you will not put yourself through that crap that they called a TV show.
