With Rejuvenating Heart that shares healing with your team it can actually be kind of a pseudo-healer though. Combine that with the Anubis passive and it's surprisingly solid. It does require your solo to frontline a lot more though, so it depends a lot on team setup.

@@stormi8029 They have completely different roles and 1/3 of the utility is simply not true. You can theoretically stun multiple people with Cerberus, but you realistically won't. In fact, just stunning one opponent is sort of unlikely unless you're playing against literal bots.
So Anubis has a more reliable stun and an AOE slow. Anubis as mentioned benefits greatly from Rejuvenating Heart and can actually heal the team quite significantly due to the passive doubling lifesteal. Adding Prophetic Cloak and Sentinel's Embrace and you're providing a lot of usefulness in just three items.
Rejuvenating Heart, Typhon's Fang, Prophetic Cloak, Sentinel's Embrace, Ethereal Staff and Pestilence/Contagion or some other utility item can do a lot.
I obviously wouldn't recommend it in ranked, but it's absolutely viable in normals and you could probably make it work in lower ranked as well, up to platinum if you're decent I'd reckon. Platinum and up has like 15 gods that are even playable, so it's rough out there for most gods even in their optimal role.
8:51 intended game mechanic, basically the first section of the 2 does dmg/knockup, but you werent in it. then the next section does dmg/knockup, but by this time you had moved from the second section to the first, so you didn't get hit by either. its super dumb but apparently hirez does not intend to change it
