I purchased some cheap fabric belt material and used it to sew a couple of handles onto this, which makes it much more convenient for certain tasks, and don't really get in the way at all.
I also thought both of those side-pockets went through, so I never used them for anything - They are much more useful now I know that they have bottoms!
I always have a couple of trash bags and duct tape..
I will also add an ultralight hammock..
I use CLSGear Mother2 Canteen Carrier and G3 Gear Roll as my camping bags..
I love using hammock as my sleeping systems.
One thing I learn when we using haversack is we also need a waist pack.
When we put a lot of gear ,food and water in haversack, it can be uncomfortable to move around camp. After setting up camp, I hang my bags and just using my hip pack..
Wallet, Phone, powerbank, leatherman, microcord, flashlight, duct tape, trash bags and basic med kit will be in my hip pack.
Where my content is somewhat different I do carry a Mochila for short trips or in conjunction with my backpack on longer trips. I just hate to open my backpack for every single item I need. A Mochila is more a cross body (small shopping) bag, less wide but deeper as used in South America a lot (Colombia) but also in Asia (Thailand).
You are missing a Torchlight or headlamp; it Gets dark fast in the forest.
Leatherman multitool, wave or charge series, instead of large victorinox. Most asian chinese are bespectacled, the dual headed micro screw driver bit comes in real handy with that.
great pack
Can I ask where you got the parang sheath?

@@urbanknifeguy Thanks JC!
I'm going camping next week. I'm gonna be in a tent while everyone else is in campers LOL.
I broke down and bought a sleeping pad though. I figure I'm over fifty now I should spoil myself.
It is the Helikon Tex Satchel not the Haversack
everything minimalist except the knife
@@brigidascala1271 What do you mean? Are you referring to the SAK?
