Those chords at m.148 are insane. To check out my PDF bundle of 10 Cory Henry transcriptions: www.gondolamusic.com/shop/p/bundles/cory-henry
Today's sheet music trivia (first to answer correctly gets PDF): spot the Eb minor blues scale in action.

What levels of confidence do you need to have to : Fail something you wanted to do -> repeat the mistake like you're practising so the whole audience knows -> go back to the music like it was nothing and make the audience laugh about it. That's so cool to me :D

Well, it is a way of improvising as well, where you repeat what you did.. Sometimes something just doesn't want to happen, because it's a bit risky regarding your skill, but that's part of the game. Some players like to play more risky, some more safely. It's part of the fun ;)

There were multiple points where I was wondering "is this the part he repeats?" and then he did it and I was like "oh that's badass"

I was thinking the same thing. He did not play safe. He just wanted to enjoy the moment and decided to keep experimenting during the performance. This level of confidence is really cool!

I'm literally in love with this. Thanks for introducing me/us to Cory Henry. I'm relatively new to Jazz etc. as im from the classical side of music but those harmonies just hit🎉

Hi! started playing it. The rhythm at the beginning is wrong. The left hand Db is supposed to be a quarter note in bar 1, 3, 5… right?
I think I m gonna buy this one :) did you put the melody of the singing on the buyable version by chance? Thank you for your work 😊

In addition, not sure if this is a Finale/Sibelius bug but I don't believe you need to restate a key signature with a clef change unless the key changes, in fact it made me believe there was a key change.
I'm a huge fan of this channel and all the work that goes into it, these videos have been irreplaceable to my musical education and career
