Thank you very much, Kelly. I've been doing this for a couple of months, a few times a week; I've noticed a massive difference not just in flexibility but in general mood as well. Just an advice for you to please try if you can change the tattoo on your foot that have written OM on it, in India and in Hinduism, you are not advised or allowed to put or written anything sacred below the navel or belly button region as it is considered that below this area impurity exists.Wearing a sacred symbol on your feet could be seen as an insult.So it is my humble request to you to see if you can change it and wear the symbol of OM above it.
I am a beginner yogi with very tight hamstrings but this video was very helpful to start stretching them out! I couldn't do all the poses exactly as you because they were too deep but I tried my best and I really feel like my legs had a good stretch out. Great video thank you!

I discovered this video about a month ago and Ive been doing it everyday since!! Im a runner who’s not the best at stretching after and this helps me so much.
I *REALLY* liked this. I slowed down the speed to hold the poses just a bit longer because I have really tight hamstrings for the first time in my life and it sucks!!! But this is really helping, and I am so grateful. Thank you!

Build up to it in small increments! You don't have to nail the pose perfectly first try. Just me personally, but I've found downward dog to be one of the best feeling hamstring openers of all - but like you said, it took time to work up to!

@@xiaoliuwu8539 For sure! I understand your frustration, I was very stiff at the start, and couldn't do most of the moves but I kept going. Be patient! Every week I pushed myself a little bit more and more, but don't be too hard on yourself. Try using this video in conjunction with other stretches, "Adriene" has brilliant yoga videos for back and hamstring. In a few weeks, you'll notice a massive improvement. :)

Yeah these exercises are awesome but too bad I can't do a lot of them cause I suffer from REALLY tight hamstrings and hip flexors to the point that I'm suffering from tendinitis in my knees which makes it harder for me to move my leg back up high and lunges are damn near impossible . But eh.. Hard work and dedication I'll get to where I need to be eventually 😀

Hey Alex, Great question. If you cramp up, stop the stretch and take a few moments to breathe and massage it out. Often, a cramp can be a sign of needing potassium so eat a banana and drink some electrolytes. You may also want to try backing off and being more gentle in the stretch. Hope that helps!

I'm going to try this. I have scoliosis and it's pretty bad. I have a upper and lower curve so it's not as noticeable. One thing I've noticed is my hamstrings and hips are very tight. I used to cheer and was very flexible. Now I can't even reach my toes. I can't work out either because my back is so tight. I have got to fix this or I won't be walking in 10 years from the pain. I have done some yoga here and there and it helps the low back pain so much. 😁 anyway thanks for making this video.

When you demonstrate techniques for tight hamstrings, please use someone who actually has tight hamstrings... for those of us who do have tight hamstrings, we can't perform the maneuvers you are demonstrating. (sigh!)

Take it slow and do what you can. Mine are incredibly tight, and like you, I couldn't fully get into some of the moves, so I just went as far as I could without being in pain or collapsing. Work up to it. Our bodies don't get tight in a day, they're not gunna unravel in one, ya know?

If you can do these poses, you don't have a problem with tight hamstrings.

Even in the beginners video she’s doing the same down dogs and forward walking that people with tight hamstrings can’t do.

This is for people who are already super flexible. This is the problem with most yoga instructors online. They have absolutely no intermediate steps.

This one is only doable when you don't have tigh hamstrings. If you have tight hamstrings I would recommend a different one

Her spine is not long nor straight in the half splits. She is quite hunched over in most poses 🤔

When you demonstrate techniques for tight hamstrings, please use someone who actually has tight hamstrings... for those of us who do have tight hamstrings, we can't perform the maneuvers you are demonstrating. (sigh!)

@@SM_zzz dude, we can't even get into the starting position in most of these videos.. been searching for ages
@@videogamelegend2672 I couldn't do a lot of the moves for a few weeks but once I kept stretching, it helped. Maybe try some different stretches.
Take it slow and do what you can. Mine are incredibly tight, and like you, I couldn't fully get into some of the moves, so I just went as far as I could without being in pain or collapsing.
Work up to it. Our bodies don't get tight in a day, they're not gunna unravel in one, ya know?
