Bodmin & Wenford Railway | Diesel Gala 2024 | 28.9.24

If your a diesel fan, then is is a video for you. It's another year which means, there's another diesel gala at the Bodmin & Wenford Railway. Playing the starring role for the weekend, 50008 'Thunderer' in Hanson & Hall livery is seen from a range of locations, looking and sounding amazing whilst climbing up the steep, West Country banks of the railway. Another visitor on hire at Bodmin was Helston Railway's class 10 shunter, seen with the goods train, featuring in a couple of clips too. Also, we can't forget Bodmin's home fleet of diesel locos, who played a key role in making the gala such an enjoyable one. 50042 'Triumph' put on a show along side 50008 with plenty of thrash, clag, & tones. 47306 'The Sapper' is seen working together with the 50s, all working hard to deliver passengers without any delays, and of course the Chiltern Railway's class 121 Bubble Car No. 121020, whom which I only had a chance to get static clips of as when it was out and about, I was too busy filming the other locomotives, but still features none the less. All looking the part & sounding amazing, the whole fleet of diesel locomotives put on a fantastic show for the vast amount of crowds & made it a very enjoyable diesel gala at the Bodmin & Wenford Railway for 2024. Great video mate so nice to see both 50’s performing well they sounded great on the trips I rode behind them. That field we went to at the end gave us some lovley shots and angles.
