Transformers Rivals 2 is a direct sequel to Transformers Rivals. It is a series that is set after the Age of Extinction, but using an Alternate timeline (ignoring the Last Knight movie). This time I developed more of a story for this short series. Rivals is projected to have 4 episodes which will ultimately wrap the Movie universe into my Vector Sigma Series.
Rivals 2 synopsis:
The Autobots continue to hunt down the few remaining Decepticons after the events of AOE. With their new allies, the Dinobots, the Decepticons are scattered. Megatron is obsessed with his rival, Optimus Prime and continue to taunt him, leaving most of the other Decepticons to fend for themselves. But then something very unexpected happens... Lockdown returns! How is he alive? What is his master plan? What will this mean for the Autobots? Find out in Rivals 2, 3, and 4!

amazing cinematography... unlike many other stop motion videos on RUclips , you have kept the camera on a fixed position and also changed the positions of limbs and figures gradually which gave an extremely smooth motion... amazing chap !!! well done
I also use some computer controlled camera mounts for some of the camera movements. But yes, a stable camera is a critical component.

Watching it at 1.5 makes the transformations look real and the voices only get a little higher pitch but it’s worth it

Wow. Thanks! Think of this as an alternate TF5. Not because of some of the issues with TF5, but simply that Rivals 1 was planned and being made before TF5 came out and this is a sequel to that.

was not digging the base scene with Hound only that I don't like when there is a bunch of head bobbing when a bot is talking. I mean I get why you might do that, but it looks funky. There's a few stop motions made in years past that did that to great excess.
Otherwise, good story, voices, animation work is some of the best of us youtubers out there.

Yeah. They look amazing. But they are hard to animate. Lockdown is easier than Prime.

This is so cool love the work love the camera angles the movement (which they move smoothly done) love the figures used in the stop motion. Amazing voices for everyone. But for real after what 2 years a cliffhanger. But it was great nonetheless

Fantastic! More story line and voiceover based then i thought it would be. Well done, very impressive. So, how was UT Challenger to animate?
The first Rivals was never really thought out or planned. So I wanted to make a miniseries that bridges the Rivals stories with my Vector Sigma stories. So that will be interesting if I can pull that off. Challenger was harder than I wanted. Definitely easier that the Alien Attack one. The no waist rotation and head tilting on Rendsora sucked. I kept some of Primes talking scenes a bit more static as I was going to animate the mouth, but then I decided it would be weird if only one character has mouth animation. And I’m not ready to set that level of detail as something to expect from my videos yet. Maybe someday.
