I guess I don't have that many emails. If I open my inbox and there's no new mail, I have to delete 10 messages that I don't need. This REALLY helps me.
WOW! That's a lot of email. When my husband died and I was able to get into his inbox, I had to divide and conquer 16K messages. I started by sorting them by From. This grouped the bounced messages together and showed me which addresses to remove from the address book. Then, I took the ones from close friends, family, and special business people into folders to deal with later. Finally, I had messages to handle one at a time. When I would realize I had decluttered 100 messages or more, I would stop for the day. This is a marathon, not a sprint. I don't need to be to Zero, but being to 1 screen of messages does the trick.
Sad to hear sanebox isn't free. Unfortunately, even though it's effective, the price point is out of range. I'd love to see more email organization videos for those on a simpler range. My inbox is quite messy.
