It's hard to listen/watch and not get emotional. He usually does. On this TV show, some who were there said this was his 4th try to get thru it. This was his first TV appearance in probably ten years or so. He just doesn't do TV any more. He did it because he really admires the host, and the host appealed to him to please be on the show. There is a video on YT of him breaking down frequently during a 2003 concert performance of Whitney Houston's "Run to you". Today, almost 20 years later, he can be emotional without letting it interfere with his singing.
Thanks for a great reaction, and your insightful comments. Park Hyo Shin did write the song, I have seen people write that it's about his struggles early in his career, so it's a very personal story. But when I hear it, I know that he lost a close friend to suicide, and I have begun to think maybe that's what Wildflower is about. It makes sense of the lyrics, certainly, and explains the depth of emotion he shows us. Thanks again.

I'm sure it's a combination of his struggles with management companies and lawsuits, and the feeling of betrayal he must have felt at a young age to put your future and dreams in someone's hands and then be done so baldly. And then his friends suicide. I hope he continues to bloom now. His musical stage career has given him alot of strength, and his fanclub/fan base is very devoted to him and he loves them back.
@@ClevyReacts and the fact that his previous agency didn't pay him for so many years, even for the concerts. he filed a lawsuit against them but he lost, and so much, around $1.3M, and he has to file his bankruptcy. and after that, that same evil agency sue him again saying he didn't pay them fully, but actually he did. with his now production company involved, he then releases this song for his comeback after finished the army, with the pianist that is shown in the show. he have been through a lot, and had everything taken from him, his money which he supposed to have, and his voice as well. he developed dysphonia, after struggling and pass out at one of his concert, which he has until today.
Park said this song is most difficult song to singing in live...bcz he wrote this song when he had hardest time in his life... And as i know, man who play piano is park's soul mate and wrote this song together with him
