Lara, thank you for your floss tube. You have done so much stitching in 2 years. Following you and just asked to join your face book group. I got back into cross stitch in 2020 after about 15 year break. I am really enjoying stitching and collecting supplies. Have a wonderful day from Victoria, Australia ❤
I’m glad you are enjoying getting back into stitching, I’m sure it has changed a lot! So many beautiful fabrics and patterns. Thank you for watching and joining the group!
I'm enjoying your first couple of videos. Since you are concentrating on FFOs, I agree that Helen D has excellent tutorials on finishing. Another great reference is Vonna Pfeiffer the Twisted Stitcher who has amazing tutorials on everything imaginable. I have been stitching many years, but I am the worst on finishing many of my projects. Keep up the terrific videos and happy stitching!!
I have heard Vonna’s name often so I need to watch her finishing tutorials before I try to FFO. I appreciate the recommendation and thanks for watching! 😊
Thanks for another awesome podcast...loved every project you shared...most of your stiff fabric will soften with handeling or a quick rinse...Jean Farish has a flosstube that is full of tips on cross stitch...she is a teacher and designer...wishing you the best and happy stitching ❤
Lara, I'm so glad you didn't delete your video! I just put up my first one that I filmed days ago and I was terrified. I still feel nauseous and want to take it down! Love all the WIPS you shared today! - Cyndi
I was very nervous but everyone has been so kind. Please don’t take yours down! I am going to your channel to subscribe and watch 😊 It did take a week or two for people to start finding my first video so don’t get discouraged if it’s slow at first. Thank you so much for watching! 💙
Hi Lara, I'm an old stitcher. I do measure twice, and I always start in tge middle. I buy my Aida by the yard so I can dye it. I love how each piece is unique! Hope your 4th was a good one!
I would definitely do the one in a pillow, that you are short on fabric. So pretty. Your stitching is pretty. I tend to watch shorter videos, time can be a issue and always the real long ones, I forget from beginning to end on what I wanted to comment on…..ha! But you do your channel like YOU want. It’s yours. 😊
I can understand liking the shorter videos for those reasons also! I had more to show in this video with all of my WIPS so it was longer but I’m sure I will have some shorter videos as well. I appreciate the feedback on the pillow finishing. Thanks for watching! 😊
Enjoying your flosstube. Love your choice of pattern for June Summer Camp. You really did a beautiful job. I think a pillow would be so sweet. May find that one to start for my Birthday Start. Love the blues. Looking forward to seeing more of your progress. ❤😊
Another great video! I think the cross stitch camp piece will make a beautiful pillow. Love the backing fabric. Thanks for sharing about the Button Up clubs. I didn’t know about them. I might just have join it 😊 Have a great stitchy week.
Love your video and all your projects...you are doing such beautiful work! When you go to "finish" your Merry Sampler...try using the BLACK SF101 as your stabilizer behind it to give you a more solid base and it helps with "show through". Happy Stitching!
I have watched and enjoyed your WIPS and FO's for FT #1 and 2!!! You are very smooth on the camera; you're a natural!! HAPPY STITCHING TODAY AND EVERYDAY IN 2023!!
Just recently, I finished a Mill Hill beaded project on perforated paper. I centered it incorrectly. It's too far to the left but I think it will still work with the matting. A mistake may be glaring to us, but I've realized most people don't notice. Bee the Sunshine looks like a fun stitch and it's very cute.
Very nice video. We all have made mistakes and found around. The stitch is beautiful for a pillow and love the fabric for backing. I live south of Buffalo New York in a small town called Boston. Looking forward to your next video.
Great to see you again Lara. You have a lovely range of projects. I think if I lived in the US I’d be constantly ordering from FQS. Good job there’s a huge ocean between me and them😉
Thanks for watching again Sarah! I do order often but it’s probably better than me having a LNS. I’m afraid I would be shopping too often so it’s probably for the best 😄
Great video!! I really do enjoy your projects, as there are some that I would like to stitch too. In fact, I have the pattern for the mouse... in the beach and laundry day scenes. And, I have the Sweet Laurel Stitch Quarterly. :) Blessings!
Hello, glad your channel came through my feed. I’m just a few minutes in and you’re a natural!! Already subscribed and will go back to caught your first video. Quick question, can you chat about the wall decor sign and the clear acrylic storage pieces where your floss is stored? Thanks & happy stitching! Sylvia
Thank you so much! I actually talk about and link the acrylic drawers I have my DMC in video #1. Please let me know if you have anymore questions after you’ve had time to check that one out. Thanks 😊
I haven’t figured out a good way to store my fabrics yet. I usually buy smaller pieces of fabric unless I’m buying for a large project. As soon as I figure out a good storage solution I’ll share in a video 😊
I bought mine from www.uncommonthread.com because they were having a sale at the time. Fat Quarter Shop and other sites sell the sets also so you might want to shop around for the best price. It's the sulky 12 weight petite assortment. 😀
Cutting your fabric with too small margins is not a rookie mistake - everyone is susceptible to that. It’s a matter of getting distracted while preparing our materials. Don’t be too hard on yourself.

Great advice! I made sure to measure twice and started in the middle of latest project after that incident. Thanks for watching!

I appreciate the encouragement about my stitching mistake and thanks for watching!
@@cyndia7428 Hello Lancaster Stitcher. What a small world.😁
I love how you modified your summer camp piece. It will make a gorgeous pillow.
Thank you! 😊
Great video. Loved seeing all of your WIPS. Thanks for letting me join your FB group
Happy to have you join, thank for watching!
Lara, you can always rinse your Aida to soften, removing the sizing.
I had thought about soaking it or even if I dyed it that process would soften it but I haven’t tried it yet. Thanks for the tip!
Omg! Look at your stash! Lol

Shape Flex 101 is great stuff. I use it for tshirt quilts and bags all the time.
Good to know it can be used for other things as well. Thanks for watching!
I would love to see your stash of stitching fabrics and how you store them. Do you buy them in large pieces?
I haven’t figured out a good way to store my fabrics yet. I usually buy smaller pieces of fabric unless I’m buying for a large project. As soon as I figure out a good storage solution I’ll share in a video 😊
Lara,
Where did you get the sulky threads???

That is true, just have to be more careful with future projects. Thanks for watching!
