Definitely give their earlier stuff a go! That's generally what most people would say is their best. I'd recommend 505 or When the Sun Goes Down

That's what they've become at the time. In the beginning when they were at their best they weren't like that. Last album and the next one were written on a piano, so you'll struggle to find a guitar riff at all, sleazy or not. They've got progressively worse with each album they made.

A great song by the Arctic Monkeys. As others stated, check out some of their early work as well. The lead singer, Alex Turner, struck up a friendship with Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age and sang backup vocals on the QOTSA "Like Clockwork" album. Josh returned the favor and sang backup on this song. This song is very much in the swag vibe of QOTSA. You NEED to hear some QOTSA songs from that album (I Appear Missing, If I Had a Tail, My God Is the Sun, etc.)

Check out "A Certain Romance", "The View From The Afternoon", "When The Sun Goes Down" or "From The Ritz To The Rubble" - all from their first record.
In the early days of the band Alex Turner was open about how grime and particularly artists like (early) Dizzee Rascal were a big influence to them, and they combined that with huge choruses and catchy hooks to create an interesting and unique sounds. Later albums never quite hit that magic spot in my opinion.

SWAG, this song has massive swag and if you’ve ever seen the lead singer live you’d know where that swag comes from.

Arctic Monkeys mostly categorizes in Garage Rock (revival) genre. which makes sense considering they're british too (lol). so yea i don't think we should call it indie specially about this song. it's a whole other thing than indie.

It seemed like they didn't think much of the song at first but grew into it coz of the vibe and the coolness of the vibe

on this album they tried more of a hip hop approach to production, but if you have a listen to their early albums, especially the first and second one, you'll see how tight of a band they are, and the absolute monster of a drummer they have

I used to play this when I taught Spinning Classes. This was always a filthy low cadence Strength track. Hell Yeah.
