Why don't you just make a camera that can automatically set the emissivity and reflective temps for you? The reflective temp is especially difficult to determine when you're outside shooting stock tanks.

To do so you need a camera with artificial intelligence of a human:) Emessivity depends on the specific material+finish

Still don't think you put enough emphasis on the Histogram mode and the repercussions for using it -
