The lack of new powers was never about intrest, its about a lack of investment. Only a fraction of the playerbase will pay to swap powers and the vast majority of players won't even use it or they'll make an alt to try it out. I don't pay for TCs but they generate way more money for the game than people buying power swaps. You are in the minority when it comes to buying power swap tokens.
And this is a dead MMO in maintenance mode, you can't expect them to keep investing in things that won't give them a return. All of those other MMOs that you bashed actually have way better gameplay, stories and community support from the devs than DCUO, that's why they're successful and aren't on their last legs.

Those games do not have better gameplay the combat is trash. Period. Dc has always had a leg up in the combat department that’s not even debatable. You repeating Obsidian talking points. I don’t remember the last time I bought a busters bundle or time Capsule. After maxing your gear to the max cr got all the feats nothing left to do if only we had PvP. I took long breaks return to the game just to get bored 🥱 again

DCUO launched in 2011. I don’t believe the game is dead; us fan hang in, or, come and go, we just want more interaction. The PS and XBox Platform Merger would bring, in my opinion: 1. More Life to game 2. More interaction 3. Get more people talking about to game to more people. 4. More people spending money for the experience. The dueling side of pvp is super terrible, your either fighting someone with fang clarion and mystic or hectate bop and rao. Which both 1 shots in full pve gear. If your not using those 2 combos than your pretty much a sparring target
Ive been here since 2011 and loyal as well brother. But after EG7 lack of interest in this game, these last 2 dlc's being so terrible and only 1 raid, and the Christmas seasonal being crap this year and a blatant money grab by the devs Im about to hang up my cape. They purposely knew everyone has been asking for double art xp for months and no replies. We were all looking foward to buying our 75k stacks for our arts when double comes out. Instead they left the arts with a b.s. discount, a new ridiculously over prices wolf pack that 97% of this game will never buy and almost everything else a real Christmas 50% discount. These Dev's have been responsible for all the problems and the massive player decline in this game. Best fight engine sytem I've ever played even to this day, best in game social chatting/text system and they have ruined it. I've also dropped approximately the same amount as you over these years and I to have refused to spend a dime on this game after what the pulled during this sale.
You nailed alot of it home I took almost a year 2 years off for major surgery and I'm at 811sp and full 200 arts, trying to chatch up to members in my league again and it's just terrible.

Wind should be a new power, and a cool one. But I absolutely agree with you, Daybreak is too lazy and they are making fun of us. It is sad. The PS5/Xbox series X/S 'update' has been promised since 2019... and this year they emphasized it would come on Christmas time and they postponed it for Q1 2024... it was really disappointing to read that and that we've been lied again. Over and over again.
Sorry, but they aren't going to do any new powers. I've even suggested maybe do different color changes artifacts to give us the other lanterns, but of course was told no to that as well.
As I understand it, the devs were trying to make the PvP an esport, that's why they started the PvP council, but the player council for pvp basically killed pvp in this game. There were people in the council that were essentially putting in exploits for personal use, or simply not reporting certain exploits. There was a leak from a steam group about private messages about these players talking about this, when it was posted to the forums and made public, the devs basically dropped support of pvp and cut ties. The council betrayed the trust of the devs and the devs stepped away. PvP was amazing and the rps combat is still a ton of fun, but the player base is essentially what killed pvp. And now there are groups of people that essentially just exploit as much as they can in pvp. The stat revamp removed a lot of the counter play in pvp since many powers are no longer vulnerable to counters, this change was great for PvE so that Rage could use Outrage if they wanted in PvE but for PvP, you end up with people just spamming powers endless without risk. You can't even buy actual PvP gear in the HoL, all you can buy is styles, PvP is abandoned content at this point, it can still be fun but I don't think the devs will ever make it a focus again. I really think the only way they are going to get a lot of new players is to reduce the grind in the game for things like arts and allies. Arts are a huge time and resource sink and I think a large percentage of people are put off how many resources they require. I do think it's hilarious they complain about population volatility when the fluctuations are mainly from things like the lack of content release and people trying the game and then leaving because the resource cost to become fully geared is a massive commitment. They will probably have their best opportunity to bring in new players with the nextgen client update and anniversary, I think if they were smart they would drop a lot of desirable bonuses over this time, like double art, double ally, double sm, double or triple tarot card and make an advertising push while doing it. But I don't think that they will make that much of a marketing blitz to capitalize on it and the way it sounds is that DCUO is mostly still around to help fund new projects for EG7.

just came back after a few years, i always do this game is definately unique and special its a shame they dont put more work into it.......the only thing i can add to your already on point video is, with the new years free cr skip they should of added some general pvp feats into the auto feats for cr skipping especially since they killed pvp!!! nowadays its impossible to grind them feats
For me it’s content rate of roll out, power and stat clamp ruining this game faster then anything. Every year they say their focusing on content and more of it but this year alone 2023 we got 2DLCs shock to the system and JLD cursed. Cant keep telling us more content but 2DLC’s. Then on top of that they didn’t do SM, and only had 1month of Time missions (can’t remember the name right this second). Powers…. They can’t do 1 power a year??? That’s crazy. First of all they have 2 Light/Rage lantern powers you could easily rework animations make Hope a healing power and bam a new power…… STAT CLAMP. Enough said. Why are we clamped? What is the reason? If you can go into old content omnibus you get grouped with THE WORST OF THE WORST. People with no arts, rainbow colored Aug and people who don’t know A THING ABOUT THE GAME. No real end game player likes stat clamp. The ppl who aren’t don’t understand how the game works and the people who “like” just wanna blow the devs on their dumb decisions.
Devs making excuses for self inflicted problems is the worst type of excuses. Skeleton crew - your content was stale and unchanging so your team quit. Meta is too unchanging - you created eog with no testable feedback!
I’m tired of these devs. They are very inactive so it beats me to say they do not care. It’s over for dcuo. Majority of the players are just sit around puppets. Meanwhile the ego players refuse to play with anyone else besides their ego friends.

First of all they need to split feat and stat point, my suggestion is stat point is base on cr and skill point remain is feat, theres too many drama kick ppl with lower stats fr.

They divided this game into like 2 sections and then divide it in more servers. Villian side and hero side. The only crossplay is pc and PlayStation

I’ve have always pushed for colour changing powers were u could change the colour of your ring let’s say same powers but able to change the colour.
Yeah I’ve always said that would be cool too but doesn’t seem it’s ever gonna happen. Even a small tweak like that would go a long way.
