C'est beau comme la rencontre fortuite d'une cuillère à dessert et d'un roman d'amour éventé, posés sur le guichet poussiéreux d'une gare en travaux dans le cadre du Grand Paris !
This music is the effulgent summer of undeniable genuine article and has also impressed and comforted my heart . From Tokyo in the dizzying Megalopolis ablaze with neon . Which national are you watching this video ?

I thought there was an interesting correspondence between the Japanese pop universe and this work (and not only this, the works of this composer in general). But that was not the inspiration for the composition, there is some explanation of the title in the CD insert, but I don't remember.
I believe that I did not know the name of the artist or the title of this work, but conducting a research here what I found was the following: the title of the painting is "Astro Boy of 2014" (if I am not mistaken, the person known in the West as Astro Boy created the characteristic style of the Japanese animations), and its author is the Japanese painter Hikari Shimoda [下田 ひ か り].

To much Gershwin. To much Brodway. ...the big apple is huge, ends in Japan. Thanks Buda... that Yukio Mishima is in a better place. I'll try another work of T. Yoshimatsu San. ...
Have you ever seen the anime, the pop face of Japan, which is more Western than the West itself? In any case, Mishima would certainly prefer Kabuki theater music (from what I read, his grandmother, who educated him, loved it). For something unbearably, genuinely Japanese, you may prefer the court's ritual music, the Gagaku (a musical style that did not please anyone I showed). ruclips.net/video/AE7FrRJJYDA/видео.html

The first time I listened to that groovy part at 0:36, I didn't know any words to describe it other than "freaking delicious".

Gracias!!! un descubrimiento maravilloso de este compositor!!!
Allegro molto at very high volume on a proper sound system is amazing, especially when the bassline comes in at 00:36.
Exciting, yet relaxing. Really wonderful... reminiscent of Hisaishi. Thanks for sharing this piece.
lovely music. Yoshimatsu Takashi is my favourite

"Atom Heart Mother Suite" by Pink Floyd is a masterpiece. Just wondering if that has anything to do with Yoshimatsu coming up with this title.
He had lots of inspiration from pink floyd as a young composer in the 70's and 80's, so I'd say almost certainly

I heard that Takashi Yoshimatsu likes to draw the covers for his books by himself. Does anyone know if he drew this piece as well?
A little late, but the artist of this piece is Hikari Shimoda :-)

Is anyone able to identify for me the creator of the artwork? I am smitten, and won’t be able to rest until I know!!!

Anyone who knows Mishima, knows he is one of the Japanese authors most influenced by the west. Just look at his house for example. Love him very much.
