    Idk man, I got this exact one for like 90 dollars like 4 years ago and it still looks nice, band and all. It keeps time well and still works perfect. Bought a different model later on but didnt like it and they took it right back with no problem so I dont get the hate. Yea if you want to drop a couple hundred or more on a watch go for a better brand. But I feel i got my money's worth personally.

White face, chrome crown, and light brown leather band (like yours but a lighter band). Very nice looking watch. You get what you pay for? I do like the watch I got from them but after a few years of light use the strap broke. Their customer service sucks. They made it sound like they would replace it, asked for pics. Then said their warranty was limited to manufacturer defects and not normal wear and tear. Then they offered me a discount to get a new one. I accepted. But they only allow paypal (which I refuse to use due to moral reasons). A big company as Vincero and they couldn't complete the transaction via credit card. Unbelievable, even a small business could accommodate. I told them to forget it and went with a local company to replace the band for a little cheaper anyway. Your video which I thought was too harsh at first turned out to be pretty spot on when I finished it. They lost a customer and you opened up my eyes to a "high quality marketer" of low quality watches.

    Good job I had a father with a €50k watch collection, mostly investment. My dad actually got me for my 18th a 36mm Rolex Oyster with a stainless case and bracelet but with a white gold bezel and a navy blue dial, it sat in my room for a few years, gained an interest in watches when I was about 21 and you can imagine my reaction when I realised how nice the Rolex my dad bought me was. I have a few watches, a Cartier Tank, Omega Seamaster 300M etc but my Rolex never comes of my wrist and I love how modest it is, nothing flashy, subtle but if anyone looks at my wrist they know exactly what i’m wearing.

    I got one for my birthday about 4 years ago, and it still keeps time perfectly, but the band deteriorated like yours did. Though, I live in a really humid climate, which understandably deteriorated the band quicker.
    It seems like most of the issue you have lies in the marketing tactics they use. Overblown and kinda silly, which yea. They are. But it's like you admitted - it worked for them.
    You mentioned aesthetics, which from person to person, are subjective. You can't condemn a company for producing a product that doesn't look great to you.
    You mentioned the sapphire coating, too, but it looks like your watch didn't have any scratches on it (maybe the camera didn't pick them up). So what's the issue with using a coating vs. not?
    I struggle to see what is truly horrible about this watch. Overpriced? Maybe. Total garbage? I think you might have just gotten unlucky with the particular watch you got.

      Like I said, they look great. They just don’t bring me joy. My Raymond Weil Maestro Moonphase with a blue strap brings me joy. Stick to shoes man, you obviously know close to nothing about watches. Quartz batteries in watches last from 2 to 4 years so for such a watch to stop. Also I used a Vincero watch for like 3 years almost daily before having to change the strap (which is more than enough for a leather strap), and the mechanism had 0 issues with keeping the time precise. Of course I prefer my Tissot Gentleman Powermatic, Bambino v3, or Hamilton Khaki in general, but still the Vincero Chrono S I got is a solid watch that also looks good and is a much cheaper solution for people with lower budget.

    I have 2 Seikos, from the Essential collection. Two Timex from Walmart. And a cheap $10 watch from Walmart. All five are keeping time. The $10 watch even had hacking. A lot of these cheap luxury watches can probably be found at Walmart for a fraction of the cost. If you don't go around showing the watch to ppl up close, but let them see it at a distance, you can pull off passing it as a luxury watch. The cheap luxury watches at Walmart may cost from $15 to $30 usd, which is much cheaper than $150 to $200. Pay a cheap price for a cheap watch and do what MVMT and Vincero does, present it in a way so it "looks" more expensive.

    Honestly I disagree that it’s “crap”. Personally I’ve owned Seiko, Citizen, Heimdallr, SWATCH, Polo, American Avatior, even no name brand watches. While I don’t think Vincero isn’t the best quality, I don’t think they are bad watches. Many people buy watches just because they like the way it looks and want something that’ll tell the time. I know several people who have purchased vincero and mvmt watches that are still working perfectly fine and they like them. I’m sorry you had a bad experience though.

    Watches like these sell for less than $10 on Aliexpress or similar places. If you want to buy Chinese watches, why not buy direct, there are better manufacturers and don't involve middlemen who add an extra $100 to scam the customers with a mass-produced quartz watch. For about $25-50 you can have a Chinese automatic watch that will keep working for years, no battery needed.

      In their core, some of those channels are fine. Like even RMRS has some decent basic basic knowledge for someone starting. The only person I watch now is the kavalier because he is a really nice guy and Hugo jacomet sartorial talks. The consumer or viewer needs to be wary and do due diligence. The amount of products I’ve turned down just because they asked me to sponsor me or send me freebies is amazing. I refuse to give links even to their website in the description. If the channel grows and generates some revenue from ads and stuff (which means a lot to me if someone sits through them) all of it will go into reviewing quality items or other terrible things I will warn you about. So far most of the shoes you see here are selfbought or bought with my own company funds even if they are competitors. I hope the message gets out there. There’s nothing wrong with liking a product (sponsored or not) but don’t shove it in our faces like it’s revolutionary.

    What would you recommend for first time watch buyers to get that is similar to this but... Better? I love the Kairos style being so minimalistic, and I just ordered one but may need to make use of their return system (which is actually probably the best thing about the company), and idk what else to get?
    Seiko comes to mind but they are more expensive, ~$100-500 more than a vincero.
    Also, for the sake of it, vincero is a fashion watch, and I like how they look, so if you could recommend a few that look good but are far better quality then that would be awesome and I'd appreciate it greatly!

    • @MisiuAcademy
      @MisiuAcademy 3 года назад +2

      Hey Cashy, thank you for watching. This video wasn’t so much about the Vincero as a watch, as even though mine was defective yours would be fine if it works. My problem was the aggressive marketing and claims they make, when this watch and the mechanism could probably be found for 30-50$.
      Unfortunately I am not a watch guy to recommend something better. But I am sure you can look at orient with some similar aesthetic and more pedigree. If you are happy with how your watch looks and if it tells the time right, then maybe you don’t have to return it.

    • @Benji10109
      @Benji10109 3 года назад +2

      Honestly, the thing is, if you know what your buying when your buying a Vincero, I dont see a problem with getting one.
      If you are super in to watches and like the fine craftsmanship of a timepiece, it obviously isnt for you. However, if you just want a nice looking watch and like the look of Vincero over other budget brands like Casio, Seiko, Citizen, Timex, Orient, etc, then get one.
      Only shady thing about them is that they advertise their watches as super high quality, which isnt true. If their marketing was basically “We dont handcraft every piece, but we do make the watches look good” or something like that they would be a lot more liked in the watch community.
      There are other “fashion” type watches like Vincero, but honestly imo they are much worse. My first watch was the $50 Casio Duro, which is a steal for how good it is for the price. Its a little big, which is fine for me cause I have 8.5 inch wrists, but if you have smaller wrists (under 7.5 inches) it would probably look a little funny on you.

    Sounds like his main issue is just with how much they’re able to advertise. That watch looks like you ran it through the washer and dryer, my guy. I recently got a Chrono s as a gift and think it looks great. Obviously if you have the caps, go for a better watch. For the price tho, these really aren’t that bad. I can understand it now being your style but this review is definitely blown out of proportion

      Thanks for watching. What many people have missed while watching this is that it’s more about such industries and not specifically Vincero. Like I said in the video and the comments, I am not a watch fun, but yes I’d respect heritage and horology or do my due diligence before going with a newer brand.

    Honestly mate, I've had one for 3 years. I rarely took it off for 3 years. I used it weekly for 3 years while kayaking and big wave surfing in the ocean. I had a metal strap intead of leather of course. But over the 3 years the watch never stopped, never broke, kept time just fine. It's shit compared to the rest. Fine. But I've had plenty of compliments on it and it did its job at least for me.

      @@MisiuAcademy ngl when I wrote this comment I was a little butthurt cause my watch had served me so well. After watching more reviews I understand the consensus is that it's the price they charge for a lower quality watch that is the issue. I do still think they are really quite good looking watches but in the end I decided to swallow my pride and go with an orient watch for christmas. Overall I am grateful you made this review or I would probably be swearing by Vincero for the rest of my life haha.

    We need more angry rants, there are products out there which are just lies. One thing is to be a good value for money, like Thursday boots (I've heard from the GYW sub Reddit). Another is to market a 200$ boot as a 600$ boot. Thats just rude.

    • @MisiuAcademy
      @MisiuAcademy 3 года назад +1
