Second this. I have an LG sk10y soundbar and the only way for me to get Dolby Atmos true HD would be to plug an Nvidia Shield into it. If Mi 4k would achieve that effect it would save me a lot money. Can you try an atmos trueHD mkv with this stick plugged into a soundbar and tell me whether you're getting atmos sound?

Hey, great video as always! Is it possible to play sdr content in sdr, or does it force hdr on everything? Does it have the setting to turn off sdr to hdr? This is important to avoid getting over saturated colours on sdr content.

I’m currently on vacation and brought it with me - i have Netflix, HBOMax, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ and I can have the chance to see them all without any problems in any hotel i stay in. I have an Android Box , Hako Pro with 4gb and 64gb of ram but I’m a huge fan of this small factor format which is easy to carry and as much effective as a bigger and higher spec box (only noticeable thing is a faster loading times but not by far). The OTG works like a charm too, and I’ve had the chance of playing games with a remote and also expanding storage (which is not very important in my personal opinion)
@@sorrysan6779never noticed that. It works fine as far as I know. Just be careful not to use up the storage because it will start slowing down a bit . And when connecting with tv usb it will start when turning the tv on, so it will need some time to stabilize

Go to developer setting and disable all animations. Also, limit background app. I did that with my mi stick and no hang, lag at all. I also attached nvme heatsink on the stick to help dissipate some heat of the casing. Though I have given away mine, after using for two years, it served its purpose well

More: the OS of xiaomi 4k stick is Android TV 11 and finally has the newest codecs: Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, both future proof as the Alliance will turn them imperative codecs starting this year. if you need something much faster and smoother - perhaps nVidia SHield TV is the quickest among all. But this one definitely feels snappy.

I'm currently scouring the web looking for a fix. It's on a restart loop
I haven't got into overheating, but I guess if I push it enough for long enough, it will become quite hot.
Mine gets hot after about 20 minutes, and starts restarting by itself. I wouldn’t recommend this product for anyone.
