Really really interesting and a fabulously clear step by step process video - I'm now trying to track down all the necessary components here in the UK! Thank you so much - as a printmaker, having recently experimented with cyanotype, this seems like a great next natural step

Its an interesting cross of photography and etching. Ecofriendly is a big plus. One shortcoming I see is that the depth seems fixed, as you need to expose through the full polymer layer or it comes off with the rubbing. So the final print will be a bit more 'flat'.
The transparency is a toner based ink (not ink jet) right? What bulb is used in the light box? I thought you couldn't expose the plate to light or is it just sensitive to UV light?
Hi, I'm going to make my DIY uv box. Would you give some data about the one you use? - does it need uv source of specific parameters (uv-c?), or just any uv bulb, - how many watts?

Dan, Thank you. This video confirms what I learned about making solar plate prints. It is nice to see the little variations in technique. I have been doing these prints for about 5 years. Have you got another manufacturer to make these for you yet? Any workshops planned for northern CA in the next year, post-covid?
