I recently picked up the og gshock G-5600U 2022 or 2023 model. And it was a big surprise to find no electro luminesence on it. They substituted EL backlight with a white light. Although the white light is very good, there is just smth about the EL backlight.
It is really hard to fond watches with EL backlight in 2023 below 5000, as casio has stopped making them altogether 🫠
