That little Ninja 250 would definitely get someone in trouble. It's probably 60 horsepower. An inline 4 is no joke, with 17,000 rpms. It probably does 120mph and has no weight at all since there is no torque, the frame can be thinner. An inline 4 cylinder 250cc is exactly what we need in the USA, because there's nothing smoother than a tiny inline 4, and you can have a lot more fun at more reasonable speeds, but still fast enough to drive on the freeway. I rode an EX250 Ninja twin and it had a surprising amount of power, unexpectedly so.
Harley Davidson Sportster S owner here. 2nd delivered in Portugal last Oct. I've always been a BMW GS fan and rode those tipe of bikes and when I saw the Sportster S I was immediately hooked. Never even looked at Harleys. Go figure. Almost 6 months owning it and 4000km (2500miles) and I'm still very happy with my choice. Great video.
Bring back the stinkwheels of the 70s and 80s! My mates have restored a Suzi T500 and RD350 LC and they are bloody epic !! The sound. The smell . Beautiful !!!
Hey, cool, I just took delivery on a Volcon Grunt last week. Cool to see it on this list. I’ve only had it a few days, but what a blast. Electric-quite for woodsy trails and electric-torque pounds the hills. Quirky-cool, simple, tough design built by Americans. Dig it.
It was really surprising to see no mention of the Dual Clutch of the Honda Rebel 1100. A big bike with no clutch lever? That's pretty significant! It will make big bike riding accessible to more riders, although some may say that a person who can't use a clutch should not be on a bike, especially a big one.
It looks awesome and like a hell of a lot of fun! It makes me so unbelievably fucking happy to see HD diversify their lineup a bit more and innovate! I’m personally an Indian guy, but I love HD and there’s no doubt in my mind that they, as they currently stand, are by far the biggest representation and influence of American motorcycles, so seeing them finally doing something new, innovating, and bringing fun and modern bikes to their lineup makes me incredibly excited! American bikes need to be able to show that we can make great bikes too, not be afraid to take a leap, and not just make traditional cruisers! I absolutely love the Pan Am and Sportster S. Such cool bikes. Lots of cool features and pretty good performance too it seems!
About the Ténéné 700 having largely enough power. . My first bike was a Kawasaki KZ-650 from 1977 . . .Fun to ride but my next yamaha XS-750 f was my all time favorite Tripple : torque 😁 shaft drive ( no oiling of the chain so, no messy rear wheel) A sofa for a saddle 😊 and among the other current 750 air cooled bike, it was the fastest acceleration and top speed. . . . And it was largely enough for 2. . 😉
Just purchased a BMW R9T 719 option and absolute love it. I narrowed my search to the triumph speed twin and the bmw R9T. The speed twin just didn’t match up even if I dropped another 4K into the bike in aftermarket parts.
RE Classic 350 is the winner for me!😍👌 I don't have any highways close around here, but even if I go on longer rides were the highway is an option, I take the side roads, nothing is as boring as a long, wide and flat road..😅
i have a classic 500, which has the speed to do highway trips, but the vibration at 60 mph is a bit intense. I'm in western Canada sp lots of windy mountain roads.
I was actually on the way to the dealer to buy a Motoguzzi V7, when I remembered that the Ducati dealer was just around the corner. I stopped by, took a test drive, and left with a Ducati 1100 Scrambler Pro Dark, and am glad I did!
I have a "proper" street legal 60 mph electric bike I ride to work each day. A Kollter Banshee. I have the Enduro version but by switching wheels and sprockets you get a motard type adventure bike. $6,500 out the door. Fairly practical for South Florida except for all the displaced Yankees that can't drive and seem to try to kill you at every intersection.
There are some awesome 125ccs on the British Market atm. Lexmoto tempest, the bulroc 125s, keeway. All making awesome looking 125s, and getting more people into biking early which benefits all brands
Im 67 and still riding. I've never owned a Harley, but I like their new bikes. The Royal Enfields look like the older bikes. I have a 2008 Bullet and I get thumbs up when I ride it. It's a cute little bike. I climb back on my Ten when I need to travel. Though I am looking at the lighter T7
64 and rode a Harley for the first time recently I didn't ride it far it was just to warm it up after giving it an oil change and its tyres were a bit flat but I thought it felt horrible I thought it felt like shagging a really really obese bird not that I ever have shagged a really obese bird but I reckon it would be like riding that Harley unlike the slender little thing I'm accustomed to my SR500
Battlefield Harley near Gettysburg is also a Royal Enfield dealer. Scuttlebutt has it the Meteor 350’s are selling very well. I’m waiting to see the new Meteor 650 which is supposed to come out in 2023. The new CEO is making his mark with more bikes and better quality. In a twist I think they have opened a Royal Enfield factory back in England.
The ohvales are awesome. It's not just for kids. Adults and pros train on them as well. Because they are a smaller, lighter bike, any tiny movement you do is amplified and forces you to become a smoother rider.
20:41 $8,000 is extremely expensive. You have to compare it to the other options that this bike is replacing. All gas powered bikes like this don't exceed $1,500
I have a 50 HP V7 and it's perfectly nice for touring. It does 150-160 kph on Autobahn no problem, but despite the original Guzzi windshield it's too windy..
Old triumphs were the coolest of the cool in regards to British motorcycles. The new Triumph might as well be a Honda with a Triumph sticker especially considering they're made in Thailand with Taiwanese parts.
The real tell in the next few years will be whether Honda, Kawi and Suzuki will adopt the trend toward BEVmotorcycles? HD may be making the smart move by separating the LiveWire from the HD brand and lowering the price by 10k.
----- just ran across bart today: checked out a couple of his vids --- I can only say that if you checked out his "perfect bike collections" and mine, there wouldn't enough duplicates to fill a 2 bike trailer
I have the moto guzzi v7 but would seriously consider an Indian scout bobber as a second bike. That thing looks awesome, especially with a freedom 2-in-1 exhaust. Also would like an adventure bike someday, was looking at heavy BMW’s but the Yamaha mentioned in this video might be a nice alternative. The royal enfield Himalayan is probably too light on power.
Don’t have an aftermarket exhaust on it, but I’ve got a scout twenty. I would heavily recommend it! I’ve got just about nothing but good things to say about it. I don’t know all too much about MG, but that V7’s a pretty good looking bike from what I can tell!
Sorry but at least for me the Himalayan isn’t even a serious option cause it’s criminally underpowered. If it had the 650 engine it may be a contender.
Bart saying the Meteor 350 is heavy is something I'll never understand. I own an all metal Bullet 350, a classic 350, and a 500 - these are the heavies. I also rode the BS5 & BS6 Himalayn, and 650s on multiple occasions and those bikes are heavy but not much. The Meteor 350 is the lightest RE I've ever driven 😂
Some good bikes in there, fair play. But, as for that last one...I struggle to think of any use for a bike with a 75 mile range, other than as a commuter. I mean, my daily spins are typically 250 - 400 miles; having to stop 3 or 4 times (for maybe 1/2 an hour a time) would destroy the enjoyment of it. And that's assuming I could even FIND a charging point when I need one (I'm in South Wales, in the UK). I'm not anti-electric bike, just anti-highly impractical and annoying bike!
I want one of those Volcon Grunts!! My current bikes are a Tiger 900GT, an XT250 and DR650. The poor DR is in storage because it won't fit in my trailer with the other two, but I'll never sell it.
Harley, aka LiveWire is working on an off-road BEV motorcycle that we may see this year. Since they owned Alta when they went out of business, they gave all that technology.
The Volcon Grunt being an ebike, ruins it for me. Put a 500cc twin in it. . . I do like the Harley Pan-America but, would prefer a Honda Africa Twin. I really miss my Honda V45 Sabre. I put over 74,000 miles on it before I sold it. Of all the bikes presented in this video, the Honda Rebel 1100 would be my first choice with the Pan-America a distant second. I like the direction the Harley Sportster line is going. If Volcon would make a true competitor to the Yamaha TW200, but with a larger engine, I'd be interested.
Ducati xDiavel Dark. Exclusive, crazy quick, handles, lightweight-ish, premium quality, comfy-ish (more than Streetfighter, Aprilia, all other naked bikes) with lower seat height and easy reach bars, huge fat rear tire, long wheel base, exotic Italian brand and looks, superior electronics, etc etc etc, nothing like it. Factory carbon fiber parts available. What Batman would ride. Cool.
Sheesh, so I keep watching, and there’s the RGNT electric retro in first place. Cool. I put in a pre-order for an RGNT last month when I saw they were delivering in the US. So, the Grunt will be my electric off-roader and the RGNT will be my electric street bike. Should be a fun summer! I’m with you - I think the RGNT retro design is a good look. I like the Switch electric bike’s look even better, but not sure when they are going to get to production.
I would be more keen on the Volcon Grunt if it was/had a dual sport version so that I could actually ride it on public roads. EV has a lot of advantages that really appeal to me and that thing is just the business haha.
once RGNT gets a bit more under its belt to get that greater mileage per charge - I'm gonna really keep a close on eye on it. Just the fact that they have a product instead of just a fancy JPEG is a good step for me. It's just that as someone in the suburbs who is quite a ways from everything, I'd need that charge to get to be able to get me further along. Speed I can compromise with, that's no problem for me, but range is a big sell point.
@6:25 My fabulous granddaughter races something that looks very similar to that, we built it in the shed, an all alloy frame & yet another 2 stroke 125, everybody that comes to my house & sees it wants a go, she charges a £5 a go & putts the money towards her racing expenses. I wonder how many Grom riders are reaching for the Kleenex right now? I'm actually surprised at that price, it sounds high to me, very high in fact, but then I build hers so I don't really look at prices of them, is it high, or is it fair, please if someone who actually buys a "Racebike" for their kid I would appreciate it, thank you.
When Harleys came out with their hundredth anniversary my friend bought a brand new 1200 Sportster that summer he was on the side of the road three times.OH YEAH BABY harley " it's a lifestyle"
I'm not a fan of the electric bikes, but you made a good case for the electric trail bike being quiet for out in the woods. You're also not going to need hundreds of miles of range for that type of riding. The last one though that only has 75 miles of range for use on the street -- hard no. The mini-track bike for kids is pretty expensive for a bike that your kid will outgrow in a year or two.
Regarding the Kawasaki zx25r, another option of a bike with good sound that does not have too much power is the Benelli TNT 600i, and it is more affordable.
only Harley I would own would be their new Pan American Adventure bike. Other than the Fairing, it has all the looks one needs to go anywhere. Yes, it's heavy, so it's not a dirt bike, but it will take you 2 up down most 95% of the roads out there. But, for the price of admission, I'll stick to my 2013 Yamaha Super Tenere. OR my 06 KLR.(155K miles on it so far and still going)
You say "At one point Harley Davidson said that it was the best selling adventure bike, outselling the BMW GS" That must be only in America because there's absolutely no chance of it impacting European sales to any significant extent. It will take a monumental effort to knock BMW off their perch. Triumph, KTM, Ducati to mention a few, are all having a nibble, but I'm afraid Harley are so far off the scale it isn't worth the effort. In Europe Harley is pigeon holed, they'll always have a great following and understandably so, but adventure biking will probably be as successful as Livewire, well maybe a little more?
The PanAmerican looks like it was designed for a "MadMax" movie, it is absofuckinlutly "Fukugly", it's about as cool as a face full of Boiling Oil. HD is in much more trouble than they are letting on, they are throwing out "LifeLine" hoping that one of them will hook something, we in the UK see a lot of that for some reason, just look at McLaren, they aren't even that bad, but they are making people think they are so they, quite possibly could trigger their own demise even when they are still making good money.
As a new guy in the game who just bought an old cruiser I would say the electric bike is not a part of the club and the way that it is trying to reinvent the heart of the machine and as such has to take so many shortcuts everywhere else in the formula that eventually equals something different than a standard motorcycle
Actually, ohvale motorcycles are not kid bikes, many people think that they are due to their small size but they are proper bikes, just small in size if you are more curious about it you should definitely check the Bikes and Beards video about that bike. Also, you should have added the Husqvarna Norden 901, it looks great and is a pretty cool bike.
Regent is perfectly hideous 😁 but hey, I'm someone who loathes the whole retro thing and will also quite possibly give up riding when we have to say goodbye to the I.C.E. That said I rather liked the Volcon for a go anywhere tool.
I ordered 4 of the new Ducatis last week. You can get one in 25 years, when the only thing available is electric and builtin China. I figure they should bring in about $300,000 each.
That little Ninja 250 would definitely get someone in trouble. It's probably 60 horsepower. An inline 4 is no joke, with 17,000 rpms. It probably does 120mph and has no weight at all since there is no torque, the frame can be thinner. I had a 72 kawi 500 triple. When honking it, it left a James Bond smokescreen. "Stinkbike" fur sure
Hey Fluump I never knew you had this second channel, but awesome to see you back on your main channel! :)
Dig it.
TRULY stoked this is made in America. The E-bike prices are still ridiculous IMO, but this one is reasonable by comparison
How does it go in the corners? I have found bikes with heavy tires do not want to turn when they get up to speed.
It was really surprising to see no mention of the Dual Clutch of the Honda Rebel 1100. A big bike with no clutch lever? That's pretty significant! It will make big bike riding accessible to more riders, although some may say that a person who can't use a clutch should not be on a bike, especially a big one.
I have the Pan America and I love it. Alot of people have compared it to the GS, but its really more like the Multistrada in terms of its competitor

filling up my 1981 Ducati, guy comes by and says- that's cool ! he's right---- newer bikes are ok but the old stuff is 'cooler' : )'
Bought a used T700 before Christmas and can't wait to go riding! Snowed again today so will be a while longer..

Your videos are well researched and nothing short of fantastic. Keep up the great work.

Just waiting for enough range to handle my daily commute with a little buffer. reckon I need about 120 mile range.

To counter one of your points, the motorcycle that made me interested in riding as a kid was an MV Agusta. Great video man.
I'm glad you included the CFMoto 700 Clx, it's really a gorgeous bike no doubt

I liked your video. It's a little light on specks and prices. You made me curious enough to go check price on that last electric.

$8,000 is extremely expensive. You have to compare it to the other options that this bike is replacing. All gas powered bikes like this don't exceed $1,500
It looks as if it's replacing one of those 500 dollar Coleman mini bikes.
I have a 50 HP V7 and it's perfectly nice for touring. It does 150-160 kph on Autobahn no problem, but despite the original Guzzi windshield it's too windy..

Sorry but at least for me the Himalayan isn’t even a serious option cause it’s criminally underpowered. If it had the 650 engine it may be a contender.
"...like, forever." Talk like a damn adult dude.
I absolutely love my trident and the build quality is phenomenal
Bart saying the Meteor 350 is heavy is something I'll never understand.
I own an all metal Bullet 350, a classic 350, and a 500 - these are the heavies. I also rode the BS5 & BS6 Himalayn, and 650s on multiple occasions and those bikes are heavy but not much.
The Meteor 350 is the lightest RE I've ever driven 😂
You should have added that the little volcon mini bike (electric) is friggen $6,000..!!!

Electric sucks
i would take the honda rebel over any harley every day of the week
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Harley’s are ugly af and STILL haven’t come out of the year 1972
Same here. I absolutely loath Harleys, and their fanboys.
Agree totally...never have seen a rebel stranded along a road.
I have one ready to ride in mygarage and I take the surron, 690ktm, or minibike over it in that order depending on how far or where im going.
I want one of those Volcon Grunts!! My current bikes are a Tiger 900GT, an XT250 and DR650. The poor DR is in storage because it won't fit in my trailer with the other two, but I'll never sell it.

We love are volcon perfect for the ranch and checking on trails
"....like a preying mantis or a spaceship..." LMAO. I know what you mean, though. Abstract geometric shapes. Or motorcycle body armor.
How is it on the highway?
It's a torque monster but fell way short on top end. Have they dealt with that?

Hoggly Wobble sons
SUCK OUT LOUD
Very cool, but no 1 is overpriced in my opinion😎
Do the nrs 21 and 19 come with brakes now?

I'm not a fan of the electric bikes, but you made a good case for the electric trail bike being quiet for out in the woods. I bet the ohvale will be used on an adult mini bike race class.
Kawasaki has 3 middleweights made with the same platform also...Ninja 650, Z650/z650RS, and Versys
So where is the link to Zack Court's ride?
Burly that adventure. Slam it down and rip it to Alaska from the everglades
It looks good. But just can't buy electric! My 06 Triumph Classic 2300. Just never gets old.
only Harley I would own would be their new Pan American Adventure bike.
A LOT MORE... you've got no idea what you're talking about.
BMW adventure bikes are like Harleys and arseholes.. everybody has one
great video
Bro you are underrated
RE Meteor looks fantastic
The PanAmerican looks like it was designed for a "MadMax" movie, it is absofuckinlutly "Fukugly", it's about as cool as a face full of Boiling Oil. HD is in much more trouble than they are letting on, they are throwing out "LifeLine" hoping that one of them will hook something, we in the UK see a lot of that for some reason, just look at McLaren, they aren't even that bad, but they are making people think they are so they, quite possibly could trigger their own demise even when they are still making good money.
Can you do a Video of the Full Historie of MZ
Does the Triumph still sport those world famous Lucas electrics? For that matter does the Moto Guzz?
The speed triple looks like it has swimming goggles
Yo, where's that vid of Zack at that go kart track? Don't say you'll include a link and don't include it...
Was guessing 8k for the Ohvale. You said it tho, very comparable to MX bike prices.
Also, that RE Meteor looks more sportster than...sportsters
As a new guy in the game who just bought an old cruiser I would say the electric bike is not a part of the club and the way that it is trying to reinvent the heart of the machine and as such has to take so many shortcuts everywhere else in the formula that eventually equals something different than a standard motorcycle
Wow, great video! 👍🏻
I like the H D Pan Am , what I don't like are the ' Graphetti ' Graphics .
Harley is really America's iconic motorcycle brand! You are underrated! Thanks for the Vid.
The Ohvale looks good and all, but it'd look way better if I didn't get flashbanged like 30 times while looking at it in fullscreen
Watching this a year later, it looks like Royal Enfield did what you said with the Hunter 350.
I have a Kawasaki 750 Vulcan, with only 1,056 miles, yeah, I want to sell it, it's showroom condition, what is the best way to advertise it?
The T100 is the bike I always wanted
Actually, ohvale motorcycles are not kid bikes, many people think that they are due to their small size but they are proper bikes, just small in size if you are more curious about it you should definitely check the Bikes and Beards video about that bike.
Also, you should have added the Husqvarna Norden 901, it looks great and is a pretty cool bike.
My favorite is the Volcon Grunt
Judging from what you think a cool motorcycle is, I'm guessing you also think Amy Shumer is both funny and smoking hot.
What town in Iowa do you live Bart? I'm in CR.
