- In the Hebrew binyan of hitpael you find roots with 3 and 4 letters. In some cases, it is difficult to determine which is the original root. And why is that important? Well, if you want to become fluent in the Hebrew language, and you cannot recognize the original root of a Hebrew verb, then you cannot navigate the menorah of verbs. Navigating the menorah is essential for moving between active & passive and transitive & intransitive Hebrew verbs.
