- We have been in this area before to help folks with their overgrown lawns. However, when we drove by the first house we noticed the yard hadn't been mowed in a while. We walked up to offer a free mow to the two elderly couple at the house, when a lady came outside and quickly told us that she had security cameras that would alert the Police Department and send a Police Officer to her location.
In this video we follow up with Pattie, a woman with limited capabilities that we had done her lawn for her 3 weeks prior. The follow up was for the GoFundMe that we started on her behalf as a way for subscribers and viewers alike could provide support for Pattie if they wished to.
The property we selected to work on is actually a neighboring property to the last property that we did. We noticed after completing last weeks property that this weeks property has the same address accept with the letter "B" after it. Could this all be the same property? When you and your mom did Patti's yard she didn't cry that she needed this or that but when you had done the Go Fund Me and supplied her with the help that viewers had offered she appeared to break down. Now she could get her hot water heater fixed but she could also get her car fixed so that she could get to the hospital and drive her Dad to the VA Hospital that was touching. Your viewers should feel proud to help someone who didn't ask for help but certainly deserved it. Congratulations to you and your mom for doing that!

It's sad in today's world that when someone comes to offer help for free, there is a suspicion that they are up to no good. The first lady in the trailer missed a great blessing because she didn't trust that you were genuine. That's no one's fault except for the people who DO take advantage of people so that genuine help is looked upon as suspect. Our world needs healing. You two are doing such wonderful service to your community. I live across the country, but I thank you for your kindness in the help that you give to the people that need it. It lifts spirits. Just an EXCELLENT JOB as always! The lady in the wheelchair was so happy that she could take her dad to the VA now. We all don't realize how good some of us have, but to some of us ....when we see the lady in the wheelchair, at least to me how lucky i truely am.

It is a gamble you take to go to these homes to assist the community. Most of the people are polite, but there is a small percentage of people are definitely not okay. Please be alert and careful at all times. You contributed to improving the lives of those you have touched.
I can’t help but feel that the elderly lady’s response was overly aggressive. She invited Trish through the gate to then tell her she was on camera and that the police had been called! All she needed to do was just say ‘no thank you’ politely and return indoors. Oh well.
It was lovely to see Pattie’s response to the kindness shown by Casey, Trish and their supporters. It’s great that the funds will make her life a little easier now. 👏
There are so many telemarketers and door to door salespeople up to no good, that seniors are told to be very careful.
It happened to my mum.
They shovelled the snow first and then banged on her door demanding payment afterwards.
She hadn’t hired them.
She was so scared!

Thanks for helping both of these families. How about occasionally teaming with a tree service for the big stuff, pressure washing company, handyman for small repairs. The two disabled families are examples of occasional collaboration with other small businesses.

Omg I watch all the mowing videos there seems to be more and more everyday but cj mowing leave the place really neat and tidy. That guy and his mum are so nice ppl. Thank you for helping Pattie. She was not expecting this little miracle. I understand why the other lady rejected your help to clean up her yard. I get phone spam/scam calls frequently. One time, I picked up the phone and pretended to be deaf, and shouted at the caller, who was Indian, and he began cursing. at me. You can't trust anybody these days. Thank for cleaning up the yard. Yard maintenance is very hard.
When I get a scam call I say; "You've reached the Internal Revenue Service, how may I direct your call?" Or you can substitute another government agency, like the Federal Bureau of Investigation - it's funny to hear how fast they hang up!
I Too Struggle Without Teeth To Chew; I Have One Tooth Left.... LOL.... Let's Help Pattie Get At Least Dentures; To Enjoy Life Better!!!

Why did she say she called the police when she invited Trish inside her gate. A no thank you or don't open the door would have did the trick.

It's very doubtful that the police were actually called, I think she said that to frighten away someone with less than good intentions. It's sad that elderly people have to be so afraid - we don't know what has caused this lady to act as she did.
