  • Since leg quarters are about the cheapest meat that you can buy now. I wanted do a short video on how I grill leg quarters. I started my grill and decided to shoot this video at the last minute. I placed a time estimate in the top right hand corner so that you can see almost exactly what and when I turn the chicken. If you have any questions or comments please feel free. I would love to hear from ya'll. Also you can find my grill spray recipe at • Barbecue Vinegar Grill...

      Ok I ate it. It was good but probably not as good as yours. Question- How do you grill direct for 70 minutes without burning it? Mine was plenty blackened after like 5 minutes direct, so I moved it over to the cool side to finish. And total cook time was only 30 minutes! How do you keep your heat down so low (I assume it’s fairly low heat) even though your vents are open? I want to make chicken like yours!

    Good looking chicken. That looked close to how my dad use to do it on charcoal. I've been trying to replicate it. was best bbq chicken ever. No rub like everybody does now, just salt & pepper. During the cook, he would wipe chicken with margarine, then apple cidar vinegar. At the end of the cook would apply bbq sauce. Not sure if was CHS, or just a store brand like kraft or something. Anyway, I haven't been able to match it with my offset or WSM. Sometimes, simple is better just like you just showed. Thanks. I have sub your channel

    • @jamespatterson6972
      @jamespatterson6972 8 лет назад +1

      +Emilio Avila The best way to determine how much charcoal is either grab a large handful of briquettes or lump and dump them on the charcoal grate. Or, (this is better) use a chimney starter. Weber makes two sizes, compact 10", the large about 12"-13" in lengths. And of course, you may add more charcoal if need be. But the chimney starters serve as a good measuring tool.
